All of the meid are the same length and what not so we have no clue if it's bought from Google or not. Even if you told us it let's it slide in the system so we couldn't do anything anyways. If someone tells you different they're being lazy.

  2. You can have a Google phone and bring it to a service center as well. Doesn't have to be just a sprint phone. You're a sprint customer so we have to take care of you.

The only phones we're not allowed to touch are the moto x from moto maker due to not being able to replace for the colors a customer may have.

  3. My M8 finally showed up today. So far I'm absolutely loving the phone. I thought I liked my N5 and then this came along. I have it in a barely there case and it just feels right. Everything is so smooth and just works.

I haven't checked signal strength compared to my other phones because I don't want to ruin the good thoughts I have of the phone so early. Lol. I still pull decent speeds whenever I test it though so no complaints here.

  4. Ah, you can go do Developer mode and turn it on.

    Go to Settings>About Device

Tap on Build number 6 or 7 times, it will turn on Developer Mode

Go back to Settings and Develop Options appears

Can change from Dalvik to ART. (I haven't tried this)

I know how to do it.

Is the option even there is the main concern.

  5. Got the Galaxy S5 today and so far really like it.

I did notice in SignalCheck Pro I only get an LTE connection, no 1xRTT

Haven't tried to make a voice call yet, but did run a speed test and got 5-6 Mbps down and 3-5 Mbps up.

SC Pro no longer shows my tower though.

Welcome to Triband. You only get one band at a time due to a single radio path. Make a call and you'll drop lte and go to a voice connection.
  6. I have two of them (s3) and they are flawless over the last 18 months. I am careful with mine, but my wife can destroy everything and anything. I have seen her drop it several times and I am sure she dropped it many more times that I did not see. So far, they are still perfect. I hesitate to upgrade anything, but I would like to play with LTE on 800. I do have a Samsung Smart TV that is just the opposite and I would NEVER buy another one or recommend anybody go near one. I also have a Samsung DVD player that constantly needs to be re-booted. Yet the Samsung S-3 has been great.

Consider yourself lucky then. I see them constantly for the same issues over and over again.

I have a samsung TV and it's been flawless. I'd buy another one no questions asked.

  7. honestly the S3 was probably my second favorite phone to date. The mods available were fun to mess with.

After coming from USCC where the phone was notorious for a terrible network experience and then seeing a steady stream come in for repair I stopped recommending them and moved on to better devices.
  8. A lot of users still have their s3 and the s5 is around their upgrade time.

That being said the s3 prolly left a bad taste in their mouth with signal issues and charging port issues. Touchy power buttons and crappy battery life come to me right off the top of my head as well.

Wouldn't be surprised if people are holding off to see how it does first.

  9. At least at my store we were not supposed to get them til next week from what I was told. When we received them this week I was pretty surprised. Of course now nobody comes in asking for it and everyone has been shying away from the new tech so far.

  10. Woot! Ordered my M8 through HTC for $250. I opened one up today and played with it for a few minutes and I knew right away I had to have one for myself.

Now to just wait on a tracking #...

  11. thanks guys i'll flash the factory image and start from scratch on it. back to my other question, when google drops 4.4.3, how long before we can download the image?

I'm probably wrong but I think once it's posted we get it within 24 hours from what I remember reading on here.
  12. So this is what I'm experiencing now. I charge my phone and it lasts FOREVER on a full battery... When its not being used. However, once I start using it, even for small tasks, the battery drains very fast. Any ideas as to what could be draining the power? I've gone over everything I can think of as far as seeing what apps are running and whats been using the battery. Haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary... Hopefully this is all part of the phone getting used to the new software process and it will work itself out. Thanks in advance!

Post a screenshot of your battery usage screen. Some more info will help us out.

Coming up on almost 24 hours off the charger and I have nearly 4 hours screen on time. Can't complain at all for this being a bone stock device.

  13. I don't know about better but it's definitely more competitive with the update.

Nexus still kills the G2 on rf. And my Nexus would prolly still beat my G2 on battery life as well.

Only thing my G2 has been better at is when I throw it across my store to show off the commuter and it doesn't break. Lol.
