Did Sprint gain anything in Ocala, Fl? I see they traded spectrum as well. What do we gain from this?
Looks like Upper C5 and part of A5 got traded in Ocala.

From Phillips and Ericsson. They're all over Hollywood.

Do you happen to know if Crown Castle owns the site, or the City of Los Angeles? There was a vault for the site that was marked "Crown Castle".

Are you on a Legacy Plan, etc.? Do you have a lot of lines?
ED 1500 with several lines. Just ported 2 from Verizon.

Just got an offer from Sprint for "Get 12 lease payments on us and a $10/mo. service credit after that for the iPhone 6s."
This is for current subscribers that activate a new line.
It breaks down to: $0 for 12 months and $16.39/mo for 6 months after monthly service credit.

This is my first time seeing this type of street light stealth site.
It's a Crown Castle site near the Staples center in Downtown Los Angeles.
It's different from the Verizon small cell sites in the city, and also different from the MetroPCS small cells that were deployed several years ago. There's an AT&T site on the other side of the block. I wasn't able to pick up any Sprint related signals from it.
Any idea what carrier(s) might be using it?
Here's some background on what Crown Castle is doing in the area:

Awesome. I've never actually gotten to see VZ ALU gear in person. And nice rendering of AT&T's logo.
It looks like the AT&T logo has been upgraded from Deathstar to Star Killer Base.

Glad to see they have the other event venues covered as well.

This is my first time seeing this configuration in the LA Metro market:
Underground equipment vault + pole mounted RRU + omnidirectional antennas. (Most pole installations seem to be GMO.)
This happens to be a site that's not on the NV map. I'll post more info in the Sponsor section when I get a chance.

For those of you who want your TV to "learn you something", I suggest these docs and shows:
Cosmos
Nature (The PBS series) especially "Honey Badgers: Masters of Mayhem"
Particle Fever
Nova
Frontline
And how is Arrested Development not on the list so far?

I was going to make some suggestions but for some reason Netflix thinks I'd enjoy "Fireplace For Your Home".
I think this disqualifies me from making any recommendations.

When did that happen?
The S.B.C. Board of Supervisors approved the revised agreement with Sprint on 9/15/15.

You can still force close Field Test to keep the dBm listed at the top.

This seemed to work for me:
Repeat these steps twice.
1. Enter Field Test mode.
2. Hold down the power button until you get the shutdown screen.
3. Hit exit.
I had to this twice before it worked.

If you increase your swiping speed ever so slightly it increases the speed at which it scrolls. I think if you do it 3 or more times, it accelerates it much quicker. Other than that, no...just clicking on the top bar.
Thanks! You're right it does. It's just not as nice as the implementation in Android.

Just picked up a 6s. I have only one complaint: scrolling in Safari is SLOW! I know about tapping the bar to skip to the top, but that's only a partial solution.
Anyone know of a solution to this?

These are also rumored partners for the small cell buildout:

In the Los Angeles area I have seen several new AT&T macro sites go up in the last 3 months. After a period of inactivity it seems like AT&T is trying to densify its network here.
The carriers selling off their towers has created some interesting co-location opportunities.

That "Sprint Kid" video has to go. Please.
I had to re-read Dr. Saw's recent blog post 3 times to alleviate the trauma from that video.

Am I the only one who liked the spinning spark logo and the boot intro and even the spark icon down to the name.
You're not the only one. I too liked "Spark", but its application was confusing. Perhaps it is better used as a name for a carrier.

The 2nd B41 carrier is present around the Daytona Beach / Ormond area, however there are still a lot of Clear B41 sites with one carrier.
Also, I did not come across a 2nd B25 carrier in this area.
Overall the balance between B25, B26 and B41 seemed to work very well during my short visit.

Should I show him episodes 4-6 first or start at episode 1? Or skip 1-3 altogether?
There really is no question. Start with the originals and then go back to fill in the story with the newer episodes.
It is only in this way that your son can share the true misery of Episode 1.

GIFs? Wouldn't you be better off using PNGs? Unless you animate them it seems weird to use GIFs.
So, the maps I'm building with openEXR images might be overkill?
