HTC M8. All software is up to date.

My phone automatically connected at LAX T5 today. I didn't have to do anything. It just worked.

I don't understand the need for 3 antennas per sector. Even in a high capacity situation only two antennas would be required.
Are the tri-band antennas cheaper than the 8T8R antennas? Is it possible to "chain" the antennas to get the same MIMO benefits?
Maybe it's more cost efficient. Plus, could this setup be more flexible for downtilt adjustments on a airlink basis not just frequency?

Looks like Sprint using tri-band antennas in San Diego. Does this support B41 8T8R?
Great find! Since each sector has 3 panels can they connect to multiple panels to get 8T8R?
-
Looks like Sprint moving forward with tri-band antennas in San Diego.
Interesting. It's a 4 sector site. That's not very common is it?
And with a total of 12 panels why use tri-band antennas?
-
Unless my eyes decieved me it looks to be a wide band 41 panel.
I really don't know what I'm talking about, but do you mean "narrow beam" instead of wideband?

B26 worked really well for me in Oregon. It really filled in the gaps of B25.
Sauvie Island and deep in the Cascade Range were the only places I didn't have LTE.
I was even getting B41 in the basement of a restaurant in downtown Portland and B26 at Salt & Straw (Division St.)

Solid coverage in Oregon on I-5 from Portland to Eugene.

Roamed on USCC EVDO in Oregon. (Hwy 58 from I-5 to La Pine.)
Had Sprint service for quite awhile, but where it didn't exist USCC picked up the slack.

Come on people the clues are obvious in the Facebook video!
Tokyo + "Crowds are forming" + "People are lining the streets"
It can only mean one thing:

Is it just me or does the #AllIn video show a crosswalk in Tokyo?
EDIT: Yes, it's definitely Shibuya Crossing.

We have many steath sites on light poles (streets and public parks), flag poles, and artificial trees. I've seen 3 on utility poles.
If you see any tri-band antennas please post them on here. I haven't seen any in the SoCal ALU markets.

That's exactly how it is here in North San Diego. Many GMO sites. Did you see the answer to my question below?
http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/2144-network-visionlte-san-diego-market/?p=425596
Yes, thanks!
Do the GMO sites in North San Diego tend to be compact installations, such as utility poles or stealth sites?
-
It's running B41. I never seen what the site looks like. I haven't seen a permit for this site either, so I can't really answer your question what it's using.
Thanks for the explanation.
We have a number of GMO sites in LA Metro so anything GMO catches my eye.

Does this happen year round?
Anyone know if temperature inversions could be a factor?

D'oh. Internet Search fail.

Small cells.
Sent from my Nexus 5
With C-RAN type deployment... or is that how small cells in general are being deployed?

You know...I find it hard to believe that they are going to be putting up 800 NEW Sites in Miami-Dade county alone...
It sounds almost like they're doing it SoftBank style in Miami!

I don't have a picture of the site. The site isn't visible.
This is the GMO site with B41? Am I massively confused, or does that mean it's still using legacy 1900 MHz panels?
-
Here's the screenshots I took early this morning, and this evening.
Do you happen to have any pictures of the site?
-
You know, Stephen Bye is a real person you guys are talking about there...
Very true.
Mr. Bye I apologize for associating your good name with music from a 90s boy band. That was low.
Keeping with the music theme, maybe we can get Taylor Swift to tweet San Bernardino County to get their rebanding done already.

Not sure what i can gleam from that thread other than SNR fluctuation cause interference with tower signal.
Just thought more people would see your question in that thread.

If by "tweak" you mean throw the map out the window, let it crash to the ground and get run over by a steamroller and marching band, then yes, I completely agree.
