  1. Merry Christmas everybody! You all be save in your celebrations, festivuses and whatever else you may call it. Seen too much death this month; I think we should all just be extra careful.
  2. Keep in mind terminology, "Columbus market" is not the same as Columbus. Unless Sprint decides to start cluster accepting LTE sites, I don't see them meeting February since its onesy twosy. There's a bunch of sites needing construction, its going to be difficult getting Columbus on 3G next quarter.
  3. Yeah done. I marked most of them checked at least. I want to make sure they're 100%.
  4. I checked Westerville last night. Silly to do it in the dark but I had time there to kill. In 15 minutes all sites can be checked. Westerville South & Otterbein look like RRH's are there, need to see them in daylight to confirm, let's say I didn't see the traditional legacy antennas. Westerville North did not look like it had RRH's. Central College could be seen from Sunbury Rd but need daylight. However the site at 161/Sunbury does in fact have RRH's. Score a definite!
  5. Had a couple things and an itchy post finger. The S3 picks up 1900 LTE. There is no 800 LTE in our market, at least that we know of. That LTE on Sensorly is 2600 LTE, unless you have a triband phone or access point you won't pick it up. Sensorly throws all Sprint LTE on the same map.
  6. That would BC41 LTE and Sensorly not having the granular controls over which BC LTE is being detected. This is where dkyaeger was doing some BC41 searching.
  7. Not to sound sarcastic here but, you mean, you can actually use data??
  8. that's why I ask because I did see one where I can see the house around there. if that's the case then he's connecting to the Shanahan Road site for LTE. I Take that back, it matches the Curtis St site, don't know how I missed that. Then it really isn't clear to me where he's mapping unless the web version of Sensorly is behind. One more edit, I hate Sensorly for that! That also means there are sites that that are not GMO's that won't be getting LTE, several inside the outerbelt. Uh oh!
  9. Are you mapping down around Cheshire Rd? I didn't see anything other than a blip by the airport. That's where we need to see that better than -80 on LTE
  10. Doing some digging into the spreadsheet and applying a bunch of probability, there's a couple sites in Delaware that have yet to be claimed as LTE broadcasting. It spawns a lot of hmmm, head scratching and such as it means there are sites that weren't getting LTE that are now and until we get more LTE sites turned on and documented we won't know for sure which ones will and won't. All that said, can you do a couple things? First, do a little driving and watch the RSRP value, when it dips better then -80 then you should be pretty close to the tower. Report back which tower your getting that signal from. Second, install and/or startup Sensorly and drive around and map some LTE. Third, oh I skipped that, can you install Signal Check Lite (and maybe buy the pro version) and when you get to that site, post a screen shot of the app screen as it will also yield info that can help fill in the spread sheet. There's a value known as PCI that the app may show you, there are 3 per site, we could use those numbers as you drive around the site and connect to the different antennas. Thank you and welcome!
  11. you're probably under the antennas still. I went west on Winchester Rd and only got -81 when i should have been able to pull -70ish. The general aiming of the tower is 0/120/240 degrees, then factor in if the antennas were aimed off-axis with the mounting poles and the tower height. Oh then power, seemed like the 800 power was low on a sector too. Look at Sensorly, it's kind of indicating weak signal out the south west sector. I bet if you mapped Kauffman, Castlewood, Brandt and Coonpath you'd see weaker signals. The north and south east sectors are banging with that deep dark sexxy purple.
  12. It's been there for a few weeks. I'm gonna blame it on a glitchy phone. You can get LTE in that area but it's from Alspach Rd south of Canal Winchester.
  13. Do a speed test too. I got one at Pickerington Rd with 5-9 down and 3 up but that was at a low -115.
  14. The one behind McDonalds. I couldn't resist. You know, chimes when you don't expect it and then that surge of "I gotta go map it". It never had what I would call really strong signal for as close as I got to it. It had some range though being picked up in front of Meijer in Lancaster.
  15. Yo Chowder, here's your LTE for Fairfield County... Carroll site, thanks to my hottie wife for sending me out for milk at 23:00. Found myself some LTE. Explains why I was getting another LTE hit in odd places at home. I got under -80 on all sectors, just didn't get them in the snapshots. A couple of those were very close to the tower but I think they have the antennas aimed higher. Did a bunch of laying of the purple. Looks like from Sensorly someone else had scanned it too. I checked the Marcy and Basil Western sites, nothing yet.
  16. Can you post the sites you've checked? We still list them as no work with a date, it puts a white symbol with a dot on the map and stops people like me from asking for site checks.
  17. This is just a general request. We haven't had any updates on sites in these areas: Grove City, Gahanna, Westerville, Blacklick, Whitehall, Dublin, far N/W Columbus areas. I know we've gotten some feedback on Clintonville, Linden, UA and Hilliard lately. Is there anyone that passes through these areas that can take 15-20 minutes extra and just check up to report if there's any work in progress? There's a lot of sites in those areas that are unchecked or outdated checked on the map.
  18. Sure that's not somebody on B41? Not sure how Sensorly is going to separate Sprint 4G. Unless it's somebody's Nexus? If the site on Brice Rd had the range of Alspach Rd, totally believable.
  19. Made a couple trips out today. I grabbed the PCI's for the LTE site on Green Meadows Dr since it had a question mark for a while. I saw fiber being ran down 161 west of North High towards Worthington HS, I assume it's for Sprint. I checked out 3 or 4 sites in the Hilltop area. Worst of all, I lost EVDO/data probably 10 times today in various places indicating that maybe there will be some site acceptance in the next 24-48 hours. I'll post the specific info in the sponsor section tonight.
  20. Definitely not. There is a lot to consider as to why the Sprint network is what it is today and I think personally they should be giving concessions to customers that stick with them through it. Now maybe they will in some way when it's all done, I dunno. Every time I've been on contract, after 12 months I could always mess with retention and re-sign a new 24 months contract and get a new phone. Verizon won't let you do that until the very last day of your contract. Now if you take a step back out of our little network mess, there's a huge chunk of network upgraded both on a state-wide level and national level. That's just looking at the initial blast. Sprint/Clear/Softbank is already rolling out the next phases (plural) of builds, improving the footprint, providing more bandwidth for our whiny little consumer selves to consume. When all that is done, Sprint will be one kick ass network. That's why AT&T has been doing more upgrades and tower builds also TMO doing more upgrades because they're all screaming "FOCK!" We all get pissed though when calls drop and data flows like a rock, I was right next to a tower with full bars and data was unflowing.
  21. Be careful what you wish for. You may find yourself smacking yourself in the head, being awaken by LTE goodness, then it's gone, oh wait it's back, nope it's gone now...
  22. Site at 5th & Olentangy has RRH's FINALLY. I didn't snap a pic of the one at 270/23 North but it too has RRH's.
  23. 08615D01 is Welsh Hills site near Granville and we have that PCI and GCI already, there's three and we have two of them. 08606B00 is Plain City-Georgesville site and we have the PCI and GCI already for that site. The other one confirms 3G acceptance for the Rehl Rd site. What we can use for that site is the PN # from the RF Eng screen, there should be three, just like 800 or LTE has three, you get them from the Eng screen, except on LTE the SCP app shows it for you. As for LTE connectivity, there's a retry timer that activates a scan for LTE signal. If you're in and out of LTE area before that timer elapses your phone won't find it. There is a LTE Discovery app in the play store. Once it's running and if there's LTE nearby, it will usually assist in connecting to it very quickly. You should give that a shot. Regarding acceptance reports, if a site is reported as accepted it is usually active. It just may take some magic to connect to it. On the SCP screens, we're looking for screen shots showing -80 on the RSRP with the serving cell since it's possible there are several sites operating nearby such as Polaris. I was trying to throw some quick hit info your way. There's a TON of info in our market forum, there's a TON more in our sponsor side market forum and if you're capable of band 41, even more info in our premier side market forum. Not forgetting the main portion of the board. Lots of reading. Welcome on board!
  24. I was having some hand off issues and multiple text messages issues near downtown this afternoon. I wonder what they're up to? On 3G
