  1. Call center I manage used to buy a lot through Qwest. We had several QMOE connections between facilities and data centers etc. We upgraded that recently and purchased additional DS3 service. It got so bad (delays and other issues) that we moved all of our business to XO. It's sad to see Century Link be this way. Had been optimistic with their acquisition of Qwest.....in hind sight that was foolish.

  3. Hey guys, quick question for the N5 community. I apologize in advance if this was already covered, I searched through this thread and didn't find anything that addressed this, so I was hoping you guys could assist. I am stock rooted on KOT49H but have flashed the .15 radio. When the 4.4.3 upgrade comes out, do I need to return to full stock build (.23 radio) before upgrading or will it not matter? If I need to go back to full stock I'm ok with that, done it several times already! Thank you in advance for the help! Edit - To be more specific: Will the 4.4.3 upgrade take me off of .15 onto the newest radio (assuming there is a radio release within 4.4.3) or will I stay on .15? Additionally, in order to go to the newer radio, will I first need to be on .23/stock to have the upgrade. work. Does this make sense or am I talking in circles?

  5. How about a 1x800 victory story. Everybody is commenting on sites along Hampden and into the tech center going live.....get along of this 1.21 gigawatt story of awesomeness. I'm at the Los Dos Portrillos Mexican restaurant at Holly and County Line. Basically between Quebec and University on 470. That's a little ways away from Ulster in the tech center at 25 and 225. How many towers are closer than that.....anybody? Bueller.....a shitload. But here I am. Getting 1x800 in the restaurant from the tower on Ulster. Son of a.........

  9. Other than the awesome typo, I believe what Santa is trying to say is that in order for a Spark device (tri-band) to function correctly and take advantage of all available bands a few things have to happen: -CSFB issues need to be resolved via software on towers in the area. This typically happens after a tower has been NV accepted. There's a great article on the wall from back in November about this. -Band 41 or 26 have to also be available and live in the area otherwise only Band 25 LTE will be available to the handset assuming LTE services have launched.

  18. To pile on a bit, I'm as disappointed as anybody but I wouldn't say they failed. Being in management of a large call center myself, I know how tricky it can be to control messaging to customers. It's a lot of hard work and a lot of training hours. It's tiresome but it's the job. If I would say Sprint failed at anything i'd say it was in this area. High servicing culture can only exist if there is a top down buy in. If that doesn't exist then you end up dealing with tons of skepticism and speculation and misinformation. Bottom line, this kind of failure is systemic. All parties within the organization are guilty to a certain degree. This happens most places.....not everyone can be top end. There is a reason it's called top end/world class customer service.....if it were easy then the off shore companies would have every service center imaginable. So in my educated opinion on the topic (sprint customer service was a large customer of my call center until I moved divisions), the learning opportunity is more around quality of messaging. To Robert's point, sprint didn't fail anybody. Artificially created expectations did. Yes I was told the same crap many others heard and yes Sprint is to be accountable for that....however, hold them accountable with your wallet if that's what you decide. That's your choice. Coming on here with a pointless spewing of venom towards Sprint isn't going to accomplish anything at all. If you were so mad then why hang around? Again, I heard it too. I'm still with them though. Still patiently waiting with the rest of us here in Denver. No plans on leaving either. What the rest have will soon be irrelevant as Sprint continues forward. *steps down from soap box* Edit: Just realized I quoted Robert, meant to quote the user that Robert was quoting, sorry!
  19. In Grand Junction for the weekend, had 800 voice in the underground cellar at a bar my friend owns. Can't remember a time when I could make a call from down there. Also, was up early this morning before we went out for a drive, the NV 3g is massively better than the legacy gear at home. Even with no LTE out here the network is quite useable. Obviously this morning there were next to none other people using the service but even this afternoon, still getting 1-1.5 mb downloads and at times close to 2. Fairly consistent performance too. Good stuff, looking forward to even this stuff being live in the south metro area.
