  12. Just a tip on the Forester from the son of a mechanic. While the Forester and other turbo vehicles like it (my Saab included) say that 90-93 octane fuel should be used, it's not required. Saab started with an EMS (engine management system) called Saab Trionic, to retard timing and modify other engine parameters so it can run on lower grade fuel without damage or detriment, other manufacturers soon followed. The only thing you'll lose is some engine performance. So the easiest thing to do with a Forester would be, daily drive and when gas is high use 87 octane, when you're going for a fun weekend drive, or prices are reasonable use 90-93. So, don't discount Forester just because of the gas, if you're looking for fun, or especially safety, both safety in driving dynamics and structure, it won't be beat. Much less by a Honda, Toyota, or Mazda. Either way good luck!

  14. My father always wanted to get a VehiCross, he still kicks himself to this day over not buying one. I just wish the Axiom had been an 04, first vehicle under $100,000K with Direct Injection. Does your Trooper have an LSD on the rear axle like the Axiom? Between Saab, Isuzu, and Suzuki, I've had high standards set for the vehicles that will replace them. Subaru seems to me to be the only thing that can live up IMHO.
  15. I figured, it's been an amazing system in the 03 Axiom I have.
  16. Random off topic question, is your Trooper equipped with TOD (Torque on Demand)? Or was it one of the earlier models using the standard Isuzu 4X4 system?
  17. Go for the Forester. I doubt you'll find anything that makes you happier if you want great driving dynamics. Along with safety that can't be beat. Don't forget the EyeSight option if you're already planning on 2.0XT.

  19. Has anyone found a way to successfully unlock the Q10? It appears Sprint had the software modified to totally prevent someone unlocking the phone. Thought I'd check here and see if anyone knows anything.
