Search zipcode 32259 on Sprint.com/network then scroll up just slightly from the first tower. Then after you take note of that one, scroll up a little bit more and you'll find the second one.
EDIT: This is Jacksonville, Florida.

Sprint's whole mantra of "under promise, over deliver" has really gone out the door.
I am glad they are just letting people connect to towers in Boston while not formally "launching". It prevents situations like this.
True, I hope they do that in the Jacksonville market, too!

There was another member on s4gru that tethered his 4G LTE to his Xbox and played Call of duty on it, he said he hardly used any data and that the gameplay was smooth.
I guess I'd have to look at how much data it uses sometime in the future.

Found the thread on it.

there is a big difference between a rpg game and a fps game

I guess you haven't been on BF3 with a server hosting up to 64 players, and shooting, and driving flying, and blowing things up. 25mb is gone in 10 minutes.

No, but I've played an online mmorpg with over 200 players in a single area fine. 25mb/hr was about the average use.
-
Why would you play an online game through a tethered cell connection? That sounds horrible and you should feel bad.
Actually, data for online games only use around 25mb an hour, so it doesn't cause much harm. However, you'll need decent latency to have a good time.
-
Two weeks into this month's bill and I've only used 300MBs of data as opposed to my usable 4gb/month. :-D
I've noticed wifi loads many things much faster, very noticeable on videos and pictures. Pandora, hard to tell...

An Osprey is a large bird of prey. They are actually common in Florida. If memory serves, I believe it's the mascot of the University of North Florida. Sprint is claiming that a lot of their delays for NV is because of Osprey nesting. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10000872396390444433504577650050132680794.html

This is a Verizon tower, but you can see a huge nest at the top. These pesky little birdies need to migrate already!

I've noticed fiber optics being installed at some Jax sites but I haven't seen any lte panels installed yet.So does it stay like that until roll out? And you have seen any tower work in your area?Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2

I turned on lte/cmda and went into settings > status and it states what mobile network you're connected to. My house has Ehrpd now, too. Jacksonville about to get busy!So to see that do you randomly happen to look at your connection screen while connected?Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2

Thanks man I always leave my phone on cdma only because of my old WiMAX phones searching all day but I know the new LTE phones are better at scanning and uses less battery. I'm still paranoid from the past. I need all the battery life I can get. I'll run my phone in LTE/cdma and see what I can find around town.
Let me know what you find!
-
What side of town were you on when you connected to ehrpd? Do you leave your phone on LTE/CDMA mode? Also does it cause any significant battery drain if left on? I leave my phone on cdma mode only because I knew it would be a while before I saw any lte.
Leaving it on LTE/CDMA hasn't made any noticeable impact on battery life. I'm sure it uses a little bit more, but like I said, my phone activity varies so it's nearly impossible to know 100% the impact it has. I'm in zip code 32259 btw.
You'll only find eHRPD if you're on LTE/CDMA, otherwise you'll only find EvDo RevA.

So excited. I'm at a friends house right now but I'll check my local tower later and see if Ehrpd is active there, too.

Wouldn't *18 redirect him to another tower? You likely were not connected to the same site and same channel. Happens all the time. People assume that if they are in the same geographic location that two separate devices will act the same. And if there is a difference, there is a problem. Wireless networks are very dynamic.

They are doing upgrades for NV wherever the backhaul is ready to rock at.
This is good, considering Ericcson has already finished installing the backhaul at many sites in Jax, FL.

Tapatalk won't let me link...
San Diego is scheduled to launch in January 2013.

I'm in Florida and mine's lower than that. Florida is ranked 4th on your list.

That'd be awesome to hear S4GRU on that call. HahaPerhaps you could even toss a few network related questions out there for Hesse or Azzi to field...I'm sure they know all about S4GRU

Sprint should go after metro pcs. They're the biggest, affordable company for them to absorb. :-)

Mine is more. 4 lines.

At work I'm literally 500 feet or so from the Wimax tower and I could pull 13mbps. But now I'm on the GS3 so I'm waiting for LTE.
-
xda marketplace is a really good place to try this.Yep, kinda wished I would have waited.
Hell... I'll trade anyone straight up and I'll pay shipping if someone wants to trade a GS3 for an EVO LTE that's S-OFF and been in an otterbox 100% of the time.
