Gotcha. Too bad Speedtest doesn't average the data over time as well. Would be best of both worlds. Sent from my Galaxy S3

Very nice! They do at least have LTE at my office in Weston, so next business trip down there should be quite nice :-)

Really? I used to use Speedtest.net but I found that they would just go by whatever the final speed at the end of the test was, whereas Sensorly seemed more balanced because it looked like it was calculating based on how much data actually came down in each phase. Edit: I'm certainly far from an expert though, so please don't take this as anything other than curiosity.

Was at WDW for a little today and noticed that I was getting EVDO from some towers even though I was in an LTE coverage area (front of MK). I thought all of the LTE towers had eHRPD for the easy hand-off between 3G and 4G. Is that not the case?

I've been to Atlanta a few times, which is complete in some patches including where my office is. Sprint LTE is by no means mind-numbingly fast, but I can stream Netflix at full resolution from my PC tethered to my GS3 with no buffering issues. So it night never be the fastest LTE ever, but it definitely gets the job done. Sent from my Galaxy S3

My 3G speeds are normally a little better than that, but it's taking a lot of self control to not just run to T-Mobile come July, though their Ocoee coverage map is not encouraging.

I wonder if Ericsson has modified its approach to get multiple towers ready and then bring them online in batches? Otherwise they're just going too slow for my taste :-) Sent from my Galaxy S3

It has also happened to me in Atlanta. Roughly the same use case though I can only infer that I had relatively good signal strength since I was regularly pulling down 6Mbps+, and it was the same type of behavior. After a few hours of use, it would just unceremoniously put me back on 3G and I would have to use Airplane mode (and once a reboot).

Has anyone noticed that their Sprint Galaxy S3's occasionally seem to drop LTE after being steadily connected and not changing locations? My signal is -90dbm, and the connection seems relatively strong, but like clockwork, after 3 hours maximum, I switch back to 3G and am unable to get LTE back without toggling airplane mode.

Love the display of the actual signal strength in the status bar... -
Maybe they were expecting it to stay unseasonably cool and were disappointed when it started heating back up again.

Could it be backhaul or manpower I wonder? Or honestly I wonder if maybe Ericsson might be putting more manpower on Tampa, which is moving significantly faster IMO.

Turns out the tower on White Road on Ocoee at the very least got a 3G upgrade. Speed today is amazing by comparison to previous days. Sent from my Galaxy S3

I drove by the tower on white road in Ocoee and a truck was parked there. The way it was positioned i couldn't see whose it was, but I'm crossing my fingers for it being Ericsson. Sent from my Galaxy S3
