  1. OR27XC012 28.55111220751747, -81.47082825659518, 616 North Hart Boulevard, Orlando, FL 32818, USA This tower is live on Colonial right near Hiawassee. The sprint rack must be fairly low to the ground, as the range heading north down Apopka Vineland seems fairly weak. Surprised it hasn't ended up on any acceptance reports yet.
  2. It does NOT support CDMA, it's not a matter of frequencies. If you know how to program the baseband (ICERA) processor to add CDMA support, go ahead. http://www.nvidia.com/docs/IO/116757/NVIDIA_i500_whitepaper_FINALv3.pdf Neither Broadcomm's new modem nor Intel's (probably) will support CDMA. I know it's not feasible anytime in the near future, but I do wish CDMA would just die already in favor of LTE and voice over LTE. One standard already, people. Sent from my Galaxy S3
  3. The thing is, Qualcomm doesn't necessarily make the best 3GPP modems. However, because the US is really the last big bastion of CDMA (3GPP2), Qualcomm Snapdragon thrives here. I do wish someone would unseat them already. Would be nice to see more Tegra and Exynos phones. Sent from my Galaxy S3
  4. The tower in Ocoee continues to have WesTower visiting it, now there's a tent stretched over the cabinet area and for a brief 30 seconds yesterday I picked up LTE while having lunch. Exciting times!
  5. Gotcha, it's definitely LTE in name only here at Waterford. The tower on Colonial clearly wasn't meant to cover Waterford fully or has a lot of work ahead of it.
  6. I have to say, as I drove out to UCF I picked up some good LTE, particularly on colonial drive near the DMV (13Mbps Up, 6 Down), but as I got into 105-110 dbm signal strength, I can't even break 1Mbps down, and this is after updating Profile/PRL and rebooting even. Is the LTE at Waterford this bad for everyone else? Edit: Apparently it can get much worse. I'm now getting LTE speeds that are sub 100kbps. Hopefully they're just doing tower work or something, because wow.
  7. Bad weather today and thunderstorms predicted for the next few days...betting we're going to see some NV slowdowns unless Sprint figured out how to lightning-proof their towers. http://www.weather.com/weather/5-day/Ocoee+FL+34761:4:US
  8. I think the birds know it. Probably the safest place to nest on the Volusia Coast. Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD For years the birds learned that Sprint towers were the safest place to go to avoid human contact. Sent from my Galaxy S3
  9. When I used to work behind Animal Kingdom, I couldn't even get consistent 3G so I would often have sub 100kbps speeds. Particularly if the park was busy. Sent from my Galaxy S3
  10. Did one of the sites near Universal or Sand Lake turn on recently? I noticed going Northbound on the Turnpike I had LTE for a small stretch as I passed the Universal/Metrowest/Gotha area.
  11. Interestingly, the White Road tower has kicked back to EVDO rev. A, but the speeds are actually good. I'd love to think it was NV work, but I have yet to see WesTower return.. Sent from my Galaxy S3
  12. Agreed - I could care less about the numbers anyway, if I can stream Netflix at high quality on my laptop like I could in Atlanta, then I'm happy. Sent from my Galaxy S3
  13. Yeah I posted to my FB a speed test with 8 down and 3 up and someone was like "you think that's fast?" Had to explain to them how that's like 20x or more the normal 3G speed. Sent from my Galaxy S3
  14. Don't worry, 3G service on the west side of town is pretty abysmal as well with limited exceptions. Can't wait for NV completion! Sent from my Galaxy S3
  15. Saw WesTower trucks pull up to the White Road watertower Sprint Tower in Ocoee!! Hoping that means I'm only a few weeks away from 4G in most of the Ocoee area (though still not where I live, but either way, progress!)
