  1. Here's the screen shot you asked for. It barely stayed long enough to grab itxD. If you need anything below the PN line I grabbed shots of those also. Just let me know.

    Edit: also what exactly is the PN? I tried searching and couldn't find an answer. Now I feel dumb...

    It is sort of(not really) the same as the PCI but for 1x. It can identify a site. If I tell you anymore I'd have to kill you. lol

  2. I know where this particular one is at because its on the way towards a family members house. So I took the time to inspect the panels, I wanted to know how my service would be lol. Everyone thinks I'm super odd because I like inspecting cell towers. The woes of being a wireless technology enthusiast:P.

    Any way you can get to the 1x engineering screen and post a shot of that that includes the 1x PN? Please and thanks!

  3. I believe that signalcheck should identify b26 and b41 automatically I know it's being worked on to do that. I know b41 site ids are completely different than our b25 that starts with 056xxx0x. No idea about b26 site ids. I think without looking the b41 ids I seen personally have started with 048xxx0x.

    B26= Last 2 digits of GCI will be 19, 1A, or 1B

    B25= Last 2 digits of GCI will be 01, 02, or 03

    B41= First 3 digits will be 048, 049, or 04A(assuming we are talking about WiMax conversions. Might be different for NV 2.0.

  4.  Just an update.  This is working for me so far. Calls are stable after changing preferred network type to 3G.  WiFi provides the data.  Kind of annoying to have to switch when leaving though, I may see if Tasker or some other app can automate this.

    Thanks for the help guys.

    If it is because of an e/CSFB issue then it should be fixed at some point. Did you get any type of error message when trying to make calls while on LTE? I know when i experienced CSFB problems i got the the "Mobile Network Not Available" message. I also have issues keeping LTE signal in my home and my office. Both have WiFi so it's not a huge deal.

    Also, which radio are you using?

  5. My CDMA roaming mode was already set to Automatic, so even if that could help it won't help me, but thanks for trying.

    After looking into this more I think it may be a network handoff issue.  Maybe someone with more knowledge of how the network works can let me know, but when I place a voice call Signal Check reports that I am on 1x800.  According to the NV Complete maps in the sponsor section there is a tower near me that has 1x800 but not LTE and there is a tower near me that has LTE but not 1x800.  My theory is that my phone is switching between these towers depending on what signal type i'm requesting and there is an issue with the handoff.  Does that sound reasonable?

    Turn off LTE while in your home. Assuming you have WiFi.

  6. When we were manually enable the bands on the Nexus 5 did anyone confirm Sprin Spark speeds? DId not work for me anywhere in Chicago. Will this update have other software updates that will allow the update to work?

    This update will be to enable Sprint Spark bands 41 and 26. Enabling b41 in the data menu does not allow b41 connection work(correctly). We have seen the N5 working well with B26 with b26 enabled though.

  7. Was in the Sprint store in Creve Coeur today, playing with a GS5. I also played with a few others. After turning off the WiFi (sneaky!), it was one of the only phones getting usable LTE. Since the phone didn't have a play store account, I tested via: http://i.dslr.net/iphone_speedtest.html with about 3m download, while my M7 held in the vicinity couldn't even connect to LTE. Also, the M8 nearby showed LTE, but couldn't connect. A nearby G2 was connecting, but I forget the speed test result. Not the most accurate test, but at a glance, it looks like the GS5 gets better LTE reception than the HTC lineup - something I'm going to be thinking about in the coming weeks (reception on my M7 has been frustrating).

    I would consider the Nexus 5 if you are looking for good reception. But beware the Spark update has been "coming soon in early 2014" since November.

  8. Now this might be a very short thread, but I wanted to know why there is such a gap between the percentage of Network Vision complete and LTE complete in most markets that I have seen on the site acceptance reports.

    I know that there can be many different reasons that a site can get all the new equipment and not receive LTE, but with such a discrepancy in the percentages, is there something that has been limiting sprint from getting these sites online in a timely fashion?

    Is there a backorder for the network cards, or any other parts needed to go live? (if so, how come t-mobile had no problem with theirs)

    Is it all backhaul related? (we all know they did not have much in place before NV, but we have been at this for a while now... can't they contract to have backhaul in place before tower work even starts?)

    Is there something else that I overlooked?

    Robert can probably enlighten us, if not, I know someone here knows! lol.

    Another point is that on the Acceptance report you could also be seeing the results of vendors going back and integrating the 3G side of the NV equipment. Almost 25,000 sites nationwide have LTE right now. You may want to become a sponsor and you can see which sites are actually 4G completed.
