That would be a disaster. Besides Comcast has a mnvo agreement with VerizonComcast Could Be 4th US Wireless Carrier, Thanks To T-Mobile, Sprint Spectrum Sale
T Mob and Sprint might sell spectrum to Charter or Comcast to form 4th player.

I'll be totally honest I don't give a darn about 5G or any of that stuff. I'm perfectly content with 4G LTE.They already are complaining. Either way, those speeds drop significantly once there's a pane of glass in the way.

TMobile still has a lot of work to do with LTE consistency where I live. You know like instead of tooting your own horn about your service put your money where your mouth is and keep improving upon it.I'll bet people will complain about those speeds because Verizon and AT&T are getting faster then that

Still though I think dish needs to cough up all that spectrum. They've done nothing with it.Hell no, there is a player right now with lots of spectrum, Dish. They better force them to either deploy their spectrum or sell it.Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

Well there should not be a monopoly on the spectrum or any other parts thisWhich defeats the Merger as 5G will need 100 mhz of spectrum tops

I actually 100% agree with you. if this merger is approved then I want TMobile to cough up quite a bit of spectrum and maybe even some cellular infrastructure tossed in there as well plus what you said with the roaming agreement.Yup, if tmo wants the deal that bad spectrum will have to be divested even low band with a mix of 2.5 .. and then the new tmo will have to enable roaming on its network at a good wholesale price

It's going to strain spectrum resources if another carrier is created. They should divest some spectrum.
It is and it could very well be a another way of saying we don’t want this deal.. if this is true, more than spectrum will be needed to create a 4th player. It think it needs spectrum for urban/suburban area 60mhz of 2.5 and some low band and for no one coverage area a roaming deal with the new tmo network will need to be made.

It would stretch spectrum resources even more thinly. The resources would be more scarce. I'm against that.Uhhh boy... Where does this madness stop?! Really?! Set up a 4th competitor?! What???

Thats the issue prepaid always gets the shaft...When I was there last I was still on boost so I only got vzw. However Tmobile and att are likely now for Sprint postpaid

Which carrier for roaming?Roaming the whole state. When you first leave Minnesota there is some coverage but it goes to roaming.

Are you from South Dakota? If so whats the situation there with Sprint? If Sprint covered years ago they could have bought aws3 there but that wasn't a thought since they don't have the area

That's my question. I don't know South Dakota's situation when it comes to spectrum with the carriers so I can't make any comments really.what will they do in South Dakota for 5G since Sprint doesn't own 2.5 there? Can't just do 600 mhz.

Yes TMobile has always been true to their word when it comes to coverage. But I still want to see what happens. So that's all I have to say :-)I agree have to give them a chance. Tmobile has added way more coverage then they had on the past.

I'm just waiting and watching to see what happens before I make any further comments. The only comment I have it this time is that this is interesting.
The FCC says there will be heavy fines if it doesn't happen and I think they should really enforce those fines heavily.

Trick question
Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk -
A merger is still a good thing. But I'm going to wait and see what happens before I comment any further. If the merger does fail, a name change and rebranding might be a good idea since the name Sprint makes people's head shake. My vote is on dish if it fails. Robert is right tho even John Ledger said it's not about wipeing out Sprint cause Sprint is part of New TMobile. The two become one but Sprint is still their with the name TMobile.

I agree with you [emoji817] ... A merger would be a good thing. I would even be satisfied with a tie up with a cable company. And those rumors of Sprint going away aren't true..I m glad they where not true.. I'm glad Sprint is still around honestly. You guys are just falling for the propaganda. They all want us to think the Sprint's failure is imminent, if not even immediate, if the merger is not approved.
You guys all mocked Sprint when they first were using hyperbole about their network and prospects when they played that card initially. And now going all ga-ga over the data again as if it was new info and now means even something more or different.
This is all OLD NEWS. They want it rehashed and all of you to freak out and over talk about it, so general opinion is that Sprint is going to no longer exist with or without Tmo. But the reality is, as Brad mentioned above, Sprint is in better shape than it was last year, two years ago and five years ago.
And also, I don't get the comment that "Softbank is looking for a bailout by any means necessary." Softbank is not looking for a bailout. No request of government giving money to save Sprint financially. That's a bailout. Softbank is looking for a BUYER. It's totally legit to look to sell the company. Why would this be surprising? Masa was discussing selling Sprint within weeks of buying it. That's always been on the table.
And frankly, I wouldn't mind for someone to take over than Masa. A tie up with a cable company may be a very good thing for Sprint if the Tmo deal doesn't happen. But I fully expect a legal challenge if not approved.

I'm saying Sprint speeds here have gotten better. I'm not going to deny that. coverage obviously can use improvements here but obviously they need money for that so I'm not going to complain about that. But other than that Sprint has improved that's definitely a true factI'm sure they want to, they just lack funding, backhaul being the worst for funding, that's why we need Tmo

That's impressive. It makes TMobile look very slow where I live. I just wish that Sprint would just fix the coverage gaps they have in my area. But in town where they have service and they have decent coverage the speeds are pretty good I'm not going to lie Sprint has gotten really good with the speeds I'm impressed.
