    Huh? Clear ?

This reminds me of the conversation I had with a Sprint rep back in June 2012 when I was upgrading my EVO Shift 4G to the EVO 4G LTE. Despite my knowing otherwise, this woman was very certain that the new LTE device would be able to utilize WiMax while waiting for the LTE upgrade to occur. She was so sure I actually began to research whether she was right. Of course she wasn't, but how many people were disappointed when they realized they lost "4G" in the upgrade?
  2. I'm hearing more & more rumblings about the HTC One being delayed: http://www.businessi...problems-2013-3 This is causing me a dilemma. I'm a business customer hamstrung by the need for Direct Connect devices in every employees hands, but I was able to loosen the purse strings for a few of my guys to have "flagship phones" along with their DC units (such as me w/ the Admiral & the EVO). One of my guys has a EVO Shift w/ an Admiral & he's been dying for a new phone. I pushed him off until the One hits the stores. Now his Shift is acting up really bad so I don't think I can wait. If it comes out next week or so, not a big deal. Does anyone have any inside info on whether or not this phone is near release? I really want to stick with HTC, but this may force my hand.
  3. Tell me about it. One of the LTE approved towers in Bensalem is less than a mile from my office but I can't seem to catch a signal even when I'm 50 feet away. Frustrating! Edit: From what I can tell from Sensorly, nobody else can pick it up either. It should be close enough to I-95 for people to pick up LTE for a decent stretch.
  4. Please let this be true...the tower that covers much of the Horsham office complexes is on the 8-story Abington Hospital building at Maryland Rd & Commerve Ave in Willow Grove. This is the same tower that services my neighborhood. With that tower and the other one in downtown WG, and I would have 4G from my front door all the way down 611 to at least Roosevelt Blvd. That's 10 miles easy!
  5. I traveled the whole length of the Blue Route this evening hoping to catch something but no success.
  6. I drove all around the Southampton tower area yesterday & didn't get anythng. Anyone from the area will know the tower location; it's easily the tallest structue in a 5 mile radius. I don't know how far up the NV hardware is located, but it might be why we've seen sections mapped in Warminster & Upper Moreland but not more locally. Also, it's close enough to the Turnpike that eventually someone should have been able o map it by now.
  7. It's not weird at all, I love it! Before LTE popped up the other night, I was slowly mapping all of Willow Grove. That's how I accidentally came across 4G Tuesday night, just mapping 2 streets after leaving the pharmacy. Wasn't even paying attention until I glanced at my phone & was shocked to see a 4G. I was wayyy too excited to see that, but I think everyone here understands.
  8. With my EVO, I have a little trouble picking up LTE but once I catch it, I try to run with it as long as I can. I just drove from Abington right near Huntingdon Valley Country club all the way south through Jenkintown on 611 until just before Rt 73 and carried LTE the whole way. Then I spun around through Glenside with only 3G and back into Jenkintown where I picked up LTE and followed Valley Rd into Huntingdon Valley, then NW on Terwood Rd into the outskirts of Willow Grove while pulling in 4G the whole time. Now I'm hoping the "connections optimizer" will remember these LTE towers and I can connect more seamlessly over time. I'll be watching...
  9. I've been getting this as well. Also, when I cycle through airplane mode when in the vicinity of an LTE tower, it takes 30 seconds or more to reconnect to 3G or pick up 4G. Normally that cycle takes 10 seconds or so.
  10. Trust me, I'm with you. I've been very jealous of my wife with her iPhone 5 on Verizon flaunting all that 4G coverage. That being said, it's now a struggle to keep her data usage under 2GB so unlimited data on Sprint is going to be an even better deal soon!
  11. Unfortunate. Hopefully the Rt 1 / US 113 corridor will see some LTE action this summer season. 3G coverage is adequate but network speeds aren't enough to keep up with Pandora or TuneIn Radio. Also, as with any coastal area, network coverage along the beaches is problematic (this is certainly not exclusive to Sprint).
  12. Almost all these sites are very close to NW Philly...this is a great sign that LTE is right around the corner for the entire area. I've had my LTE phone for 9 months without getting the benefits of the speed, so seeing that 4G show up on my phone for the first time was gratifying.
  13. I went back to that spot in Willow Grove today and was able to pick up the LTE signal and map a long stretch in Sensorly. As soon as I caught a signal, I did a speed test: That's a lot of juice!
  14. I traveled right through the Bensalem interchange of the PA Turnpike, which is very close to where someone picked up a 4G signal in the lot of Neshaminy Mall. I cycled through airplane mode serveral times with no success. On my drive home, I usually loop around the Street Rd / US 1 interchange and get on US 1 at Rockhill Drive which will take me right past the mall. I will see what comes up.
  15. I just picked up a weak 4G signal in Willow Grove close to Huntingdon Valley Country Club. I didn't even realize it at first, but once I did, I drove around the neighborhood for a good 15 minutes trying to find it again. Luckily I had Sensorly running so it mapped it. This spot is the highest point in the area so it's probably picking up the signal from the tower one of the earlier posts mentioned in the Huntingdon Valley area. This is great news!
