  1. LTE 800 and Network Vision in general have made and incredible difference for me!  Prior to NV 1.0, when I would sit at my desk at work, I was typically sitting on Verizon 1x.  NV was a huge improvement to just get Sprint 1x and EVDO inside my building.

As LTE was added, band 25 was a challenge to pick up on my old iPhone 5.  I had to stand at just the right spot facing just right to be able to connect.

Now with band 26, I am able to average about -110 db LTE which is still very usable.  I have also noticed that I am connected to LTE A LOT  more often now that I have a triband device when compared to just band 25 a few weeks ago.  It is amazing how far Sprint has come from just 18 months ago!

  2. The only way we will be able to tell if the 6 and 6+ use CSFB will be whenever an iOS 8 jailbreak comes out. Then, we can install Signal 2 on the device and see if a 1x connection shows up when on LTE. If there is none, then more than likely, the device relies on CSFB. On the iPhones, when connceted to LTE, the field test screen does not let you see any thing about 1x. Signal 2 was the only app that showed us 1x connections when connected to LTE.

Same thing I was trying to say but stated more clearly.

  3. When I go into Field Test, there are no screens for CDMA1X.  I'm currently connected on Band 41 LTE.

That has always been the case.  When I looked at my 5 when connected to LTE on iOS 6 and 7, there was never an option to see 1X info.  Now, if iOS8 could be jailbroken and Signal 2 installed, we would be able to answer this question.

  4. Has anyone had a chance to compare the reception to another device... I assume all of you guys with multiple devices are all at work right now! I await

Well, B26 is awesome but this is my first experience with it so far so I can't say much about how it compares with other devices.

  5. How heavy are your ups shipments? Ups just told me I have a shipment (before sprint ) and I did 2 iPhone for life plans on 2 orders. Just curious if they combined them? Or I'm only getting one phone? Thanks

I have 4 iphone 6's coming and the weight listed according to UPS is 3.8 lbs.

  6. The one I ordered for my wife on the 12th has a tracking number, but on UPS it says they are still waiting for the shipment to be dropped off at their facility.

I am pretty sure her device will come in tomorrow, but I am thinking mine won't show up until Monday since I ordered it yesterday.  Oh well.  I plan on doing a rather intensive RF comparison between my N5 and her iPhone 6 over the weekend.  I'll probably have her phone more than she does.

That's the same spot I'm at.  The tracking number showed up yesterday morning so I didn't think it would take this long for the package to be dropped off with UPS.

  7. i want to upgrade and i'm on an old ass everything plus family plan.  i was told i had to change plans to do easypay by someone at the store, but i had been told in a chat the night before i didn't need to do that.  anyone have experience?

Go back and say, I am not switching my plan. I would like to upgrade on my existing plan. If they say they can't, ask to speak to the manager. I am upgrading my phone on friday and I am on the 1500 ED plan. I have been told by sprint reps, chat reps, and 2 people in the store I can do this. Including an employee here on this forum. There is no reason you should not be able to upgrade.

I believe Everything Plus is an employee referral plan.  To upgrade on that plan, you may be stuck doing it online only or over the phone.

Everything Plus is a plan with subsidies.  Easy pay can only be used on the non-subsidy plans.

Status: Your pre-order for the 64GB iPhone 6 Plus is at our warehouse. Orders placed prior to 11:00 am CT on 9/12 will ship in up to 3 weeks from order date. Orders placed after that will ship in 4 to 6 weeks from order date. Keep an eye out for a shipping email with your tracking information. Thank you for your patience. For the latest shipping timelines, visit sprint.com/preorder.

Since it shows my order as "at our warehouse", does this mean I might actually have a chance of mine being delivered on Friday? I finally was able to get my order in about 4:45 AM on Friday.

Unfortunately I don't think you can hope for anything more than getting it within the first 3 weeks...

  10. But when you ordered, what was the expected arrival?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I ordered early enough on the first preorder day that I expected to get it launch day. Same thing this year. I noticed on the order status page that all iphone 6 16gb silver and grey models ordered before Saturday at 5pm are expected to show up on Friday.

  11. That's cool.  I may hold on to my 5 as a back up just in case the new phone breaks.

I just looked up my order from Saturday on Sprint.  As expected, no shipping date or status update.  I kind of expected it though.

I still don't have a confirmation number of my preorder. I am getting super nervous.

This is normal for Sprint preorders.  When I preordered the 5 two years ago, I finally got a tracking number on Thursday afternoon and the phone showed up Friday.

  12. What's the condition. Mine is starting to buckle up and it's annoying...Maybe I should get a new one before I get my new phone. Use it as the iPad charger since my brother broke that one....

I brought 3 cords in at once. All I had to tell them was that they didn't work. The rep made sure they were original Apple cables (just by visual inspection) and then gave me 3 new ones. Never checked them for functionality or anything even though 2 of them looked almost brand new.

  13. Question about the buyback.  If you order online and have the new phone shipped to you can you still take your old phone into a sprint store for the buyback part of the transaction once you get the new phone.  The whole idea of shipping it and waiting forever for the credit to be applied does not sit well with me.

Sprint's buyback website says you must go to a store if you want Sprint to match a competitors buyback quote.

  14. Going into the sprint store after work today to put my name on a list to pick it up on NEXT FRIDAY. Also going to clarify with them that I have been told by numerous customer support reps that I will be trading my phone in for a buy back credit, despite what they claim. Also going to ask them how they can match Tmobiles buyback credit. I'm so excited!

Going to teach the minions today.

I called my local store yesterday and sales rep confirmed that they would match the price of any competitors quote (including t-mobile) for buying back a device.
