I just saw the ATT guy running across the street to the Level3 fiber POP with a flash drive containing my packets.
I almost spit my coffee through my nose on that one! Holy moly, that's funny!
Hey Digi...on CM9, when you are on WiMax, does the signal indicator look exactly like the 3G one above, only with 4G displayed?

Probably wont happen' date=' but it would be sweet if this upcoming HTC (EVO successor) had a kickstand.. I really liked the kickstand on my EVO.. the one on the Photon was even better.[/quote']
There are some really neat cases with kickstands. Body Glove had a great one for the E4GT that supported standing upright and sideways. Worked much better than the OEM kick stand on the OG Evo.

If you go on the network,sprint.com, all the planned "data speed upgrades" (band-aid T1s) are gone-- everywhere.
There are still a few more here in Santa Fe, NM. But two of our sites that were supposed to get improvements have mysteriously disappeared. They were on there just a few weeks ago when I last checked as getting speed upgrades in the next 6 months. And they have not been upgraded. Hmmmm...

I use RootMetrics for more consistency. With Speedtest the servers change so much I never get a reliable reading. One day may be Phoenix, the next may be Tucson or Pima or maybe even LA. Anyway this is pretty much the norm for me in east Mesa, AZ

I too like RootMetrics and use their app a lot. I'm also a major contributor to their site. Kevin at RootMterics is a stand up guy, to boot. I enjoy promoting them.

Lots of people put out reports saying "buy" or "sell" or "whatever". I do take issue when someone puts out an opinion and then someone just assumes that they are "gaming" the system or hurting Sprint by stating his opinion.
Whether or not he is gaming the system is definitely an unproven point on all of our parts. But he is indeed hurting Sprint by stating his opinion. We all have a powerful voice in the internet age.
I could create a series of articles that could significantly impact Sprint myself, and just call them opinion pieces. I could write them in a way that they would be picked up by all the tech sites within an hour and possibly even the Wall Street Journal in a few hours. Just because I have an electronic sword, doesn't mean I need to wield it. Even at worthy adversaries. Personal responsibility is being lost in this day and age.

Ha, ha. I lace up my boots every day defending American's right to an idiotic opinion.
Not a problem brother.
Scott, welcome to the LTE Advanced member Level!

I don't know that I would put too much stock in the pictures out there being the actual HTC jet.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
Our photos were purely for illustrative purposes only. We currently have no idea what the Jet/Evo/One will look like with certainty. But it probably looks like the One X.

You can do lots of things through a third party. He may not be able to do it himself. Its a poorly written hit piece. If you use the B word, you better know what the hell you're talking about. The author is either an idiot, an arse or trying to game the system.
And just like it was his opinion, these are mine. And those were Scott's.
You can't defend the author opinions and then pick on the opinions of our members. Just explain your opinion in contrast to other members. Thanks.

These are the speeds I am seeing today. Yesterday I was averaging about 0.21 mbps up/ 0.02 mbps down. Sprint speeds around here vary greatly from day to day and I usually test in the same place. Upload speeds always seem to be horrible.
Welcome to S4GRU!
Yeah, 600k speeds are average. There are many members who would love to get up to that speed. On average I get around 1.3Mbps where I live.
Thanks for your first post I hope to see you around.

Been lurking on the site for a while and finally registered.
I've got 3 of 4 lines that i'm paying for premium data on but getting virtually no "premium" service so the new 4G LTE is of serious interest to me. I'm in OC CA so hopefully we'll be lit up sooner rather than later.
My upgrade is due...but no new phone for me until I'm convinced LTE in my area is acutally a reality, unlike the seemingly single street coverage in my city for wimax.
I'm happy that LA, OC and now Riverside/IE are announced since that blankets the area I'm in 99% of the time.
Love the site and thanks for all the info!
Welcome to S4GRU.com. Thanks for joining.
I have more schedule details that will be posted within a week or so about deployment schedules in your area. Stay tuned.

I'm just curious because on my ICS, the ICS 3G signal indicator doesn't change to 4G, it creates a new 4G triangle icon that is turned on it's side. So I just was wondering if CM9 keeps it on the same one.
