Is it poossible to get a map of the country that shows each Network Vision site instead of looking at each map individually? Or do you have this map on the site already and I missed it?

We have a Sprint market map that shows every market in the country. That's in the gallery tab.

As for a map that shows every single NV site? We will not likely post that to the public. I think Sprint would not appreciate that going out publicly. However we are trying to build an online tool for Sponsor members to be able to access it.

  2. OK...I will contribute to this little charade...

    Federal-Univ Serv Assess Non-LD

    $3.14

    New Mexico State-Gross Receipts Tax

    $0.73

    New Mexico State-Tele Sales Surcharge

    $8.42

    New Mexico State-Univ Serv Assessment

    $1.80

    Rio Arriba County-Tele Sales Surcharge

    $2.29

    Administrative Charge

    $6.00

    Regulatory Charge

    $1.80

    New Mexico State-911 Tax

    $1.53

    New Mexico State-TRS Charge

    $0.26

    TOTAL FEES & TAXES

    $25.97

Taxes in New Mexico are ridiculous. It's what happens when you let one party dominate both chambers forever.

  3. Here is the Long Island market map. You tell me...

If it is in the New York City market, then the dates are a little better. A/L is starting deployment in the NYC market this month. They are schedule to convert approximately 75-100 sites per month on average. They will all be usable when they come online. You won't have to wait until the end. However, it will take approx. 10 months to complete...start to finish.

Sprint plans to announce the market as launched when they are complete with 50% of the sites. Sprint is currently estimating the "launch" of the NYC market in October 2012.

  4. Talked to someone responsible for fixing a basically catastrophic tower issue on the South Shore, thats killed data service to a huge chunk of the Town of Hempstead.

NV rollout is supposed to begin on the last week of March/First week of April.

LTE is supposed to be turned on in a window between mid-June and the end of July.

    Rocco...

I'm looking at the short term and long term NV schedules right this very second after reading this. Long Island is not on the short term schedule at all. That means that A/L will not begin deployment before the end of September. I do see Long Island on the long term schedule. We will have an article discussing Long Island in the not too distant future.

Stay tuned to S4GRU.com for all the latest.

  5.

AFAIK' date=' that's correct. Roughly it is 30 for feature phones, 40 for smartphones, and 50 for 4G phones and iPhones.

But I could be wrong. I don't sell phones... I just support the network side.[/quote']

This is my understanding. It went round and round in forums when the iPhone came out. I took a lot of heat from iPhoniacs when I told them that Sprint was going to charge $50 to SERO members for the iOS privellege.

Some of those SERO people can be downright crazy. I was told I was jealous, I was told I was stupid, I was told that I should shut up.

In the end, I was right. And that was deeply satisfying.

  6. Sprint just needs to move on from Lightsquared and focus on Network Vision and Clearwire. Sprint needs to put strict tabs on Clearwire and cannot let them delay on their LTE deployment. Its going to be a long year to have just a single 5x5 LTE carrier on Sprint when it could really use the 2.5 Ghz LTE to offload customers when outside in dense urban cities.

Yeah, with Clearwire having the first 5,000 sites date out there so far, I don't want to hear any excuses on delay.

  7. I hate to be the bearer of bad news. But I can all but guarantee that Sprint will not be releasing the GSIII in May if its released by Samsung then. :(

The S4GRU writing staff has seen the Sprint LTE capable device schedule through summer. And there is nothing on there that could be the GSIII. However, maybe it might be an early Fall release?

  8. Most know that i mention the Samsung Galaxy Note alot in the forums i go in, but not for nothing, this video is really impressive. Man I can't wait for Sprint to get this thing.

Samsung Galaxy Note used to create impressive stop-action video

    Thanks for posting!

How long until Apple files for a patent on the S-Pen? I really want either the Note or the Note 10.1. It looks freakin sweet!

I started to laugh at this. But you know what? I think it's not far fetched. And it's certainly not unprecedented with Apple.
