  1. i totally understand where he is coming from. i wasnt trying to go on a tangent. i love sprint as a company, i guess its just the way i talk. im gay so i tend to exaggerate when i speak or talk. so my apologies :)

This is not a stereotype I am familiar with. And I thought I knew them all! :wavey:

So far all the Cell Sites I've looked at are 100% accurate, I've been to a lot just messing around today. I'll post pics of all the ones I see soon. :0) Its obvious when NV is on them too. Only seen a couple tho. :( - Ya, I'm a loser... lol

You have any info for mapping the Denver Area?

  4. I was streaming spotify without issue all morning. 15 minutes ago ran a speedtest once the song started stuttering.

    Upload: .29mbps

    Down: .30mbps

3G, full bars, 249 ping. I've got a DAS antenna directly over my desk at work too.

DAS usually has it's backhaul through the property owner host. Most government agencies just tie it directly into their ISP. So in your case, I would guess if you're connected through DAS, either there are too many users on it, or the backhaul provided by the City of Peoria is a chokepoint. Or possibly, there is a chokepoint at the Sprint Phoenix switch. And if that's the case, it's probably affecting the entire market.

  5. It all sounds very plausible, but then again informed speculation gets you 90% of the way to those specs anyway; except the kickstand and SD card, it's all pretty predictable based on what we know already about the GSM One X variants.

I'm still leaning toward the Galaxy Nexus just to have the pure Google experience and have my new phone 5 weeks sooner (and not to reward HTC again for my Evo's annoyances), but this phone definitely seems like a strong contender too, particularly if they can follow through with the accessories like the car dock (where Sammy hasn't in the US yet).

    Chris:

Do you live in a Shentel coverage area? How does that work? Do you still get Sprint devices on the same day? Do you actually just have a Sprint account? I've always been curious how that works.

  6. According to Chris Chavez' date=' who works for Phandroid, Sprint's version will have an SD slot and kickstand.[/quote']

I was approached with the same info, but no one would give me a document that said it. It may end up being true, I don't know. But if someone won't show me the document, I don't report it. Maybe someone gave Phandroid the doc?

  7. Maps in the S4GRU Sponsor section are 100% accurate. Open Signal has inaccuracies and not comprehensive.

  8. I was using a free app from the market place that shows the locations of the towers your connected to. well i went to the closest one to my location and there was no tower in the spot the app said there was but after looking around i noticed this tower fairly close so i figured it was it.

Sorry, I don't know how I missed this post. I assume you are referring to the Sprint site in Spencerville, Ohio based on your profile.

Below I have posted pics of where the Sprint site is on the North side of Spencerville. It looks like in the sat photo, that it's the same place that you took a picture of. If the yellow marker in the map below is in the same spot as the tower in your picture, than yes, you were looking at a Sprint site.

  9. I just finished adding all Nextel SIDs for the entire U.S. Most regions search 476 then 526; the southeast will search 526 then 476. The native EV carriers are associated with the new CDMA 800 records everywhere. There is no roaming indicator and ESMR 1x is prioritized over PCS 1x.

Thanks! I have updated the file in the download center: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/files/file/18-cdma-800-testing-prl-21086xprl/

  10. Robert,

    Is this correct?

    First round -ongoing till June/July

Second round - July to end of year

Third round - Begining of new yeart till .....

Just from some of the things you have said I am thinking now that OK is going to be third round.

    That's pretty much it, yes.

Hello, new here posting. Been checking out news and some posts in the past few months. Any word on St. Louis? Pretty big metro area overall...wondering when it could happen...South i55 15-30 minutes from St. Louis is where people really want/need LTE!

I'm not prepared to discuss the Missouri market at this time.
