Getting LTE sometimes

Recommended Posts

Typically I get super slow 3G in and around my house, but I've started to notice sometimes early in the morning, my iphone 5 will pick up a very weak LTE signal at a certain part of my house, but if I move from that spot, I lose it. Can anyone in the know about how cell networks function explain this to me? Is it a sign that I might see full on LTE soon, or is it just that the network is getting so little traffic at that early hour that it's briefly strong enough to reach further than normal?

It all depends on where you live and your closest tower. If you donate we have maps that will give you all the answers you wish lol

I have this problem too but at least in my case there is a tower that is 2 miles away and I am on fringe coverage around 113-130dbm and I only have it upstairs. Sometimes late night I can get 4.5mbps and often in daylight hours its 0.30-0.60 mbps with like 500 latency. Basically to unstable to use most of the time.

. I was asking about how the towers divvy out their signal, I've seen many maps, and know where my local towers are. I'm more curious about how I can be so close to the towers and pick up a weak signal but how it isn't consistent
