smorcy11
So I have this random issue with my EVO LTE. I'll be using it to listen to music, and all of a sudden the music will cut off. When I look at it, it will say "no music found". And then a message pops up and says SD card unmounted, but I didn't do it. It will still show all the pictures from my SD card but won't show any music from it. Then eventually later in the day, all is normal again. Any ideas on this problem, anyone else seen this? greenvillesc
I have had the same problem. I blow the slot out with computer air cleaner this works for me. Ever month or so I have to do this since I work in a dusty environment at times. Also a good otter box case helps keep dust and dirt out. themuffinman
Maybe your card is on its way to being corrupted. I recommend you make a back up of whatever is on your card then re-format the card.

I may try that. Simplest way would be to just plug it in to the laptop and copy the data over to a folder, then reformat and reload right? Also, what size memory card, what speed class is the card and what brand?

Also, what size memory card, what speed class is the card and what brand? What a pain this is turning out to be... Copied all the data to a folder on my laptop. Then the phone does t have an option to format, so I do it from the pc. Then reload all the data. Pop it in. Not recognizing any music still. Go to settings, shows SD card and shows data. Put it back into PC, now trying to clean up some of the folders and sub folders...
halcyoncmdr
The phone won't let you format the card while it is mounted in the file system and in use. You have to unmount the SD card from any Android phone before formatting it, otherwise any application could be accessing it at the time you try and format it. Usually the unmount and format options are in the same screen (I don't know where it is on the EVO LTE off the top of my head , probably in Settings > Storage somewhere).
