  1. Working with Robert we discovered an anomaly in DeKalb. Lincoln Towers was not the site lit with LTE, but the new one on University Plaza. The web site has been corrected to reflect this.

This still leaves that chain of four sites with LTE only on the one, far site in Elburn.

I wish Sprint would just let me connect these sites for them! Seriously, I would have had backhaul to them a year ago if they just asked!

  2. Anyone have a USB battery pack they'd recommend(the little bricks/rectangles usually that have USB ports to recharge basically anything)? Im thinking of one around the 8000mhz capacity, maybe bigger depending on cost.

  4. I was out that direction (DeKalb) last Friday (2/21) and captured this screenshot at IL-38 & Annie Glidden Rd. Must be nice at last for the 22,000 students at NIU, a few that may have a smartphone :) , to finally have 4G.

That's a hell of a weak tower.I work on Harvestore Dr few miles from NIU,and the LTE single is 0 or very weak single bar.

How far does the single goes ?

  5. Did the 4.4.2 update last night. Signal strength according to SignalCheck app is about 8-10dBm lower than before, HOWEVER, I have been able to hold LTE in all places that I was able to before. This leads me to believe that if you're having problems holding LTE with the new update, its more of a market saturation issue, building you're in issue etc.... Just my $.02.

I used to get a weak LTE signal near UPS before the update.not anymore

  7. Glad you got one ordered, dealing with some of these reps can be so frustrating at times.

I don't get it. Why other carriers are giving free SIMs like hot candy and Sprint is getting stingy about it ?

  8. Just ordered my 32GB Nexus 5!!

While I'm waiting, what is everybody's preference on visual voicemail and 3rd party texting app? I'm going to dig back through this thread and do a little bit of research but if anybody has suggestions let me know.

Now I need to pick up a SIM for it as well.

Majority going with Textra for texting
