  1. Here's a pic. Looks like its a small outbuilding next to it. The structure looks like its been there for awhile, I've just never noticed it. The tower is new, however, it does not have any panels on it yet.

I dont think that tower is new. its been their for a while now. There was a new tower put in on north frontage between the seasons and foothills bvld

  2. sorry it took me so long to get back to you hypeo. the thing about the telegraph pass tower is that the signal will completely disappear for 20-30 minutes at a time then magically come back on. it seems to be a random effect and i cant really connect it with any event. the only possible thing i could think of is ypg, but i have no clue. hey robert do you have any idea what it might be? or any of the other great elders of S4GRU? :):D:tu::ninja::rofl:;)

  3. I thought i would post the topic cause i really like the name NEXTEL and i wanted to kinda get the feel on where everyone stood on this. Maybe I can get Robert's thought on the idea. The thing is its not a name you see very much of. It's a heavy word in my eyes and i think it would be great, what are your guy's thoughts on it?

BTW, if you guys have any other ideas on names that you think would be fitting for the Sprint, bring it up! :) (all in good fun guys)

  4. Dont count on it. Looks can be deceiving. I thought the same thing when LTE started popping up in San Antonio. But I have noticed that the SA deployment seems to have stagnated. Sprint appears to be trying to get other locations involved with LTE rather than finishing up what they have started here in SA. Im not saying they have done zero, but when you consider the number of towers that have been added since the SA market opened up, especially when you look at other markets. Well I would say that something is up.

Now they could be experiencing issues here that we dont know about, but it sure would be nice if they would give us better updates.

I know S4GRU is doing the best they can to give us info, but it really is Sprints responsibility to inform their customers and not a 3rd party.

Just my view of things at this time. Please dont take this as a rant, it really isnt. Im looking forward to Sprint finishing up NV. I think they have finally figured it out this time and will be successful with the new network.

On a positive note, where I am able to get LTE, it is amazing. :tu:

Patience is a virtue. Im working on this everyday :D

It's good to see that customers and user's of this forum are starting to gain patience. Just a few months ago, this place turned into a mad house....i felt bad for Robert. But they have cleaned it up, and it's enjoyable again. Believe me, we enjoy users like you.... :) btw, wasn't trying to point you out or anything. Just more of a Thank You

  5. One name variation could be SprintSoft.

idk about sprintsoft...makes it sound like a software company....im putting my money on the name Nextel, im probably wrong (wouldn't be the first time) but I think that name has alot of positive press behind it. Then again i was a youngin when they merged so what do i know. Sprint becoming the new Nextel...for some reason it just sounds like a stronger company :)

<YAY!!!! i have three dots now

  6. I like the idea of this merger, however, I hope that they don't try to convert Sprint's existing CDMA network over to GSM as they already use. Plus I hope they keep Network Vision the same and don't make any serious modifications to it. Ok modifications include speeding up deployment of Network Vision work, and of course, hiring the necessary people to make the work finish faster. But anything too drastic could destroy Sprint in the end, (ie. eliminating unlimited data).

I dont think getting rid of unlimited data would destroy sprint. Plus i think they would take the model T-mobile has used, and limit speeds rather than what Verizon and ATT do.

  7. ok...im way to fat to hike up that mountain. I dont even know how they got those towers up there lol but back on topic. i have no idea whats with ur signal issue, maybe a airave but idk. it must be frustrating

  8. well i would say that would be it, but the this has been going on for about a year now. and it only seems to happen when im on the telegraph pass tower. i have used several different phones and they all did the samething. the wierd thing is that when i get signal like im supposed to its full bars..so its not like its a weak signal...its full coverage!!! thanks for your input man, wasnt really wanting to fix the problem, just curious why it does it....cant make any sense of it!!!

  9. Ryan, sprint does have a tower up Telegraph. Unfortunately I don't have the answer to your other question about loosing signal. Sorry man

Thanks man, yea it so wierd when it does it. it did it again tonight on my way to work as well. idk but again thanks :)

  10. hey hypeo i was wondering if sprint has a cell site at telegraph pass? I did some research and i couldn't really determine if sprint has one and /or nextel. The reason i ask is cause since i live in wellton i go through dome valley to get to ypg for work, its wierd cause sometimes i will have signal all the way to 95 then black out for a bit, then when i get to imperial dam rd the signal comes back for maybe two miles then blacks out again, which is normal and reflects the coverage from sprint. But some times i will either be going to work or going home and i will either loose signal at the dairy in dome valley or regain signal there. It's been doing that off and on for about a year now, and i can't pinpoint the reason. My prl is up to date, and went through the sprint troubleshooting customer service. I thought maybe it was problems with a tower at telegraph pass, or maybe the wellton tower serves all the to imperial dam rd and the signal just fades in and out since its really far. And come to think of it, i have a friend that lives right by the dairy and my signal will fade sometimes for 15-20 minutes at a time. Does anybody have any ideas?

  11. hey robert i was at bbr, and found this map of what sprint expects to be their nv foot print in 2014. i really hope this is not the case, cause the network footprint looks exactly as it does now. i thought when network vision is done, their network would be similiar to verizons. anyways i thought i woulde post the link, its a picture of a map that someone posted on twitter...i will also post the link to the article.

thanks robert, and have a good morning!!!! :)

  12. i know wifi calling is voip. but to me it just seems like it would be more cost efficient for any carrier including sprint to subsitute a wifi hotspot for coverage, instead of using femtocells. it just seems like both parties would win. the carrier and the consumer, ya know?

  13. i totally understand where he is coming from. i wasnt trying to go on a tangent. i love sprint as a company, i guess its just the way i talk. im gay so i tend to exaggerate when i speak or talk. so my apologies :)

  14. not sure what you meant about being irrational. but i wasnt talking about voip, just wifi calling like tmobile offers.

i was just trying to start a conversation about a subject, i guess ill try not to be "irrational" about it lol :)

  15. the next market/s will be..........

    -phoenix (highly likely)

    -tucson/yuma (just hoping)

i will be praying everyday for this to happen. it wouldnt be a bad area for sprint to do nv. there network here is completely overloaded and between these two markets is about 90%-95% population of az. i-10 runs through az, so phoenix is guaranteed. i-8 runs is the main route between phoenix/tucson and san diego so their is alot of traffic on those highways. i think one of the main reasons their network is so congested is because of all the prepaid subscribers they have. but then again att and verizon have twice as many customers, and their networks arent that bad off (not saying their networks are flawless) just they seem to have more infrastructure in place. anyway hope to get some comments on this post.....AZ PRIDE :)

p.s. let me know robert if you need help finding pictures for your az market annoucements. got some awesome desert shots (to show the low population density here in yuma) lol or some good lettuce or alf alfa field shots. i can turn a lettuce field picture into a story about mans struggle to earn endsmeat in troubling times and trying to raise his kids. lol im so bored right now...jeez
