Does anyone know what parts of the network that they still have to shutdown? I know the coverage map that sprint has on their site is complete bogus. hmmmm?
-
I think its full build.
Thanks guys
-
I got a question for you guys. Is the Phoenix and Tucson/Yuma markets GMO site or are they full build sites?
-
I've always wanted to go to New Mexico. I heard the unicorns run free and the rain is like gum drops their. It's friendly to my people lol Welcome to the family SeanK_

I like how Sprint is treating DISH like they are not even a factor right now.
-
Looks like DISH is down 1.7 percent in premarket.....the sour taste is settling in....ewwwww :puke: :puke:
-
I feel mixed on this. Does anyone really think that DISH has a real chance at Sprint? Just from my novice stand point it seems that it would be a better companion then Softbank but what do i know lol ;)

I like T-Mobile styles maps.
no thanks on that. the att maps are not too bad. but really all four carriers maps are crap.

When NV is complete yes. For NV to be complete, a site must have the new panels, RRUs, and enhanced backhaul hooked up, with the new 3G and 4G equipment activated. If any one of these is missing, it is not considered entirely complete. Individual parts can be completed and approved however.
A site can be partially completed, either having the new 3G only or 4G only activated. This can be caused by a number of different things, and also depends on which contractor is deploying the tower. Alcatel-Lucent seems to like upgrading 3G first, then going back for 4G later. There are hundreds of different little things that go into upgrading a tower to Network Vision, since it is essentially a complete replacement of the network. If any of these are missing, it isn't completed.
Thanks. You should put that answer in one of those NBC "Now You Know" spoofs. lol
-
So when NV is complete on a site. Is the site already configured and wired and such for LTE and its just a matter of flipping a switch? Or do the vendor have to go back to that site and still complete the LTE part of the site?

When Charlie Ergen comes to mind, do you think more "vinegar" or "honey"?

The samethimg is starting to happen here in yuma as well with Verizon. They even just launched LTE here and they are only seeing 3-6 and i have seen the as low as 1200...
-
I will have to look into it, thanks. BTW I did try changing the radio and it worked. but when I want to come out of roaming do I just go back to 1900?
-
Can it be rooted with the jelly bean update?
-
To be honest I had no idea thats how it worked I always thought they actually monitored your activity.
hmmmm.....not very many people responding to this thread. Well I thought it was a interesting topic

So im shocked at how well this phone performs. I've seen no lag what so ever. Very happy with my purchase or gift...lol thats to be debated i suppose. I came from the galaxy s2 and with that phone I was able to to stay on roaming so it wouldnt go back and forth from roaming to barely any service. I mean it would but not as much as the evo lte would. But thats my only gripe....lovely device. I hope it serves me as well as my first android phone, the Droid Incredible...now theres a device. That phone was a workhorse...and considering it's three years old it actually is still pretty comparative to recent phones especially prepaid devices.
Btw, I was having 3g issues yesterday in wellton. The network was slow as molasses, but then again im not usually up during the time of day that i was on the network so that could have very well have been, but it still seemed more strained then usual.
-
yeah i really like the evo too. best buy has them for free so i picked it up this morning. so far i love the device.

Does anyone know if cell carriers will be implementing this new six strikes rule that most of the country's largest internet service providers have signed on to implement this week? I think that it's absolute crap that isp's get to monitor our usage. I also heard people say that if you use a vpn you can bypass their efforts as well as avoiding bittorrents.
p.s. sorry if their is already a thread on this topc. was not aware..forgive me
-
The one on Ave B is a new one isn't it? Or is that one more near Somerton? And thanks for letting me know about the Evo lte. I might get it but im not so sure. I wonder if anyone has tried the Lg optimus g
-
ha! thats so funny how you say whether or not they can be trusted. lol i had a associate at the yuma palms store tell me that wimax is actually better and faster than their lte deployment. he said it was more "efficient". totally untrue.
-
yeah thats all we have for the time being is hopes and dreams lol jk. btw hypeo how well does your evo lte work? is it a nice phone?
-
Wow that would be scary as hell. It's Obama's fault lol jk. Thank god they made it down safe
-
No, a simple pill just will not cut it. For the tinfoil hat crowd, we need to create and market an anti RF anal suppository. Sure, it is the size of a football. But if you are really concerned about RF, shove this up your butt, and you will be protected. Trust us.
AJ
Ok, where can I get those at? Do they exist? lol

I know Verizon just turned on their LTE service here and not sure if that was who it was for. does Anyone know who Verizon's vendors are?

I really hope your right about Yuma being 75% complete by the end of June. I just recently moved back into town. I live by Fry's on 24th st. and sprint's network is almost non-existent. I hope they can get the upgrades done soon
