  4. We're two months behind now something is definitely going on. We were getting security updates monthly and in a timely manner and now nothing lol. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  5. I wonder why we haven't had a security update in a few months, I know Verizon and AT&T are all caught up. Maybe they are fixing some software issues and that's why they haven't released one lately. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  6. Enhanced messaging is great. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  7. I used to love textra when I had my Nexus 5, but now I love the samsung messenger app. Altough I did stop using it on my Nexus 5 when it started to lag and I switched to Google Messenger and I really liked it, nice simple and clean.
  8. Not sure by default it's set to 5, I have mine at 2 and really don't see a difference. Even on 1 it's more or less the same, but with what I went through I can tell you it's not the phone. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  9. Well on top of that in the markets that they do have B26 it's so beyond unoptimized, just as strong a signal as B25/41 it's terrible. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  10. Hope the Note 7 comes with the exynos and not the snapdragon. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  11. You'll need your MSL code or "Activation code" from Sprint, I got mine when I activated a different sim card on my Note. I received an email and it had it listed right there, so I didn't have to play around with Sprint to get it. To change it however you need to open up your dialer and enter ##data# or ##3282# then go to LTE and hit edit, put in your MSL code and go to LTE then change the nextLTE mode to whichever you want (default is 5), I have mine at 2 right now. 1 is the lowest that you can go, then once you're done hit ok then restart your phone.
  12. I think the service is getting slightly better, I am not dropping LTE as often anymore. I also adjusted the nextLTE timer to 2 instead of 5, that may be making a difference. But I am no longer randomly dropping LTE in the spots that I was on my commute, I can stream my Spotify once again which is nice.
  13. Yeah snapdragon, I wasn't impressed I quite like the exynos CPU. And yeah that's a good thing, even though I am back where I started. Hopefully whatever network woes there are will be fixed shortly. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  14. Well I talked to my lady and I am returning the S7 and keeping my Note 5, all things are being reverted. I am glad this lady is so understanding of the situation, back to mashing sprint zone reports. And I swear my Note 5 is faster than the S7, there is a bit of lag on the S7 and none on my 5.
  15. I still have it and am waiting on a return package to send it back out, I don't see it not being possible. If I didn't still have it in my possession however I could see that.
  16. I proved it wasn't the Marshmallow update when I installed Lollipop and the service was just the same. Something is going on everywhere and it's probably not just related to the Note 5.
  17. I was just at a local deli and low and behold I am on 3G and it stayed on 3G until I was a good mile away from there, pathetic. Brand new different phone, same problems. Wasn't even using data either so nothing was holding it up from switching back to LTE. Noticed my Note 5 was pulling better dBm as well compard to the S7 lol which is crazy, S7 is at 121dBm on B41 whereas my Note 5 would be on B41 at around 114dBm, can't compare Note 5 is still great it's the towers it has to be can't be anything else because I have tried everything else at this point.
  18. Yeah I am kind of sick to my stomach over this, waiting to hear back from my lady again to try and reverse this crap I don't want this phone. It's a nice phone but it's no Note 5 and it's too small I feel like I am going to break it.
  19. I can't win this S7 is having the same issue's, has to be a tower issue ugh. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  20. Well I finally heard back from Sprint, they told me they wanted me to bring the replacement phone to a service place again... ugh dummy we did that before on the other one... So I screamed at this lady for a few good minutes and said just give me a different phone. So she caved and pushed my upgrade to today and I am sending back my Note 5 and they will wipe what I owed on it, so I have a new S7 as of now. Only had to pay taxes on the phone and she is going to wipe the activation fee for me as well. Wish it hadn't come down to this I loved my Note 5 but there are obviously issues with it. Best of luck all.
  21. I'm sure they could. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
  22. Just got off the phone with the "network guy", he had me do a few things on the phone and reset my line on their end all to end up back in the same situation. However he was quite impressed with my knowledge on hardware and software we had a good clean techy talk which was refreshing compared to talking to these other people lol. But bottom line is it's a hardware issue with the phones and so he is gonna recommend they replace the phone considering I had my replacement and it's still the same song and dance albeit slightly worse now. He mentioned the Galaxy S6 Edge had similar problems and it was fixed with a software update but there haven't been any reports of a similar issue on the Note 5. So waiting to hear back from my "case" worker lol to see what my options are. Btw I know some people have been asking not sure if it was in this thread or not but reporting network issues in the Sprint Zone app does work but only if they get frequent and multiple reports of issues, so if you're constantly reporting issues they will look into it at some point. I actually can't believe the progress I have made on this situation, never thought I would get this far up the ladder and actually get the ball rolling.
