  1. No it's not. I got B41 LTE in Union City, but that's in the east bay near Fremont. Union Square is suffering the same eCSFB issues that all of San Francisco is going through.
  2. In Oakland yes, SF no. SF is just as bad as it has ever been. eCSFB in Oakland is working properly and in some spots the LTE is quite nice.
  3. I got a used LG G2 for my sister for christmas. Went on craigslist and found one for $250. I activated it on my line to try it out, enabled B41, and went looking. Found some Sprint Spark love in Union City at the Union Landing shopping area. That was under the strongest signal I could find. When I was just 300 yards away in a restaurant, I was only getting -120dBm RSRP and about 6mbps.
  4. Friend of mine sent me this from the East Bay. That's in San Leandro
  5. It's hit or miss for me. I think there is an issue if you put in a T-Mobile SIM and then play with the "Mobile Networks" settings panel. If you select T-Mobile as your network, and then forget to switch it back to automatic before swapping your Sprint sim, you will have a problem.
  6. I just finished reading some of the documentation on how eCSFB works. The 1x paging channel is actually tunneled onto the LTE S102 interface. The UE never leaves LTE to receive an SMS. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  7. Oh I hope so. I got so sick of the Sprint CSFB LTE/1x issue that I went and got a T-Mobile Sim card last night. Popped that in my nexus 5 and been using that until Sprint works out this nightmare. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  8. Curious why this does not seem to affect iPhones? I have a friend with a Sprint iPhone, they do not support SVLTE and only have 1 radio, yet they can access LTE in purple markets just fine.
  9. Black Nexus 5 32gb, google play store model. My LTE does not work in the purple areas of the SF bay market. The areas I have tested are San Francisco, Oakland, and Daily City. LTE works fine in yellow and green areas, like Moutian View, Palo Alto, San Mateo, Richmond, Pinole, Vallejo, and Benicia. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  10. Ah. I have not followed that thread today. Well I hope the 3G upgrades start moving along in SF then. I am up in benicia right now visiting family and my LTE started working when I got to Richmond. That makes the 3G upgrades make sense and correlates with my experience too. You asked about 800mhz earlier. I am associated to an airave on the 3G, hence signal check showing full signal there, and 800mhz from the closest tower. Easily 15db better than any other phone I've tried. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  11. I tried to but by the time I found it it was dark out.
  12. So I got some good news and some bad news. Good news is, my LTE works. I was visiting a big company in Mountain View and figured I should try out the LTE while I'm there: The bad news is my phone could not connect to Band 41, no matter what setting I tried, it always picked Band 25. Even more bad news, as I was driving home, my LTE cut out and would not come back on, pretty much the instant I hit the South San Francisco border. This is leading me to think there might be some weird LTE restriction based on geography or RF Switching center for TriBand devices.
  13. I've been stuck on 3G most of the time when I'm out and about. I have noticed at home when I force it to LTE only, I will get LTE in places that I was never able to get it, like the back side of my house, and deeper in treasure island than I've ever been able to get it before. It's pretty impressive.
  14. I don't normally hang out in CDMA800 accepted neighborhoods. When I get CDMA BC10, it's some freak occurrence or I'm visiting someone away from home. I'll be spending a day in Mountain View in a couple days so I'll keep an eye out for some 800MHz signals when I'm down there.
  15. I am having issues with my LTE and I'm in a Samsung market. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  16. Does not work. At least not yet. I figured out how to get my phone on LTE only mode and that actually gets it to connect to B25. I enabled B41 with my msl and drove to some clear sites in SF to see if I could get some TD-LTE love. No luck. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  17. I can't get LTE to connect at all. It will flash the LTE symbol briefly and then switch back to 3G. There are a few people having the same problem. Someone on XDA suggested that it may be a regional thing.
  18. Wondering if anyone else in the SF Bay market got a Nexus 5 and is having issues with it connecting to LTE?
  19. For the brief moment LTE worked for me, it said the same thing. I think it has something to do with the lack of SVLTE support.
  20. The drivers are included in the android SDK: http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
  21. AT&T vs Sprint in my house. https://www.google.com/maps/preview#!q=94130 Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  22. I'm out playing ingress. My 1x signal dropped to a really low level and somehow the LTE started working. Now that I have a good signal again the LTE won't work. WTF! Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  23. My LTE just started working on my black 32gb! Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
