  1. The RF on the iPhone 5 is pretty good. As for battery life if you're the "normal" user (text often, check mail occasionally, play a few games, etc) then it should easily last you till the end of the day. Though if you're a heavy user like me (even more so recently because of the jailbreak) then expect about 6~7 hours of battery life

  2. I have this problem too, and when it drops my 3G to o, I lose basically all connectivity. Fortunately no dropped calls at all yet but as for data (for me data>text>voice) it's extremely annoying for this to happen (when I'm just about to submit forms, it occurs and I have to fill it out again). Also, my texts will declare that it's not sent and it will either send itself a few minutes later, or not send at all. I have no idea of knowing so my contacts often get multiple copies of the same text :P

    Very true.

I heard a great story about how a local town had some new high voltage power lines run by the town's high school. After the lines were installed, the town demanded a meeting with the power company. People, one by one, stood up in the gymnasium speaking about all of the issues that happened to students since the power lines were installed (poor sleep, poor grades, ADHD, blah blah blah).

After everyone was done speaking, a representative from the power company apologized for all of the issues people had but politely explained that while the power lines were installed, they had yet to transmit any power over the lines.

    Absolutely comical.

Where do you get this stuff XD that is hilarious, I would like to see the reaction when the rep announced that

Ah. Where did you get Tetherme? I have it installed, but my phone always goes back to 55010.

How did you flash it? I'm using the Sprint_LTE_US.bundle folder. I'm replacing carrier.prl. Can you tell me exactly what you did?

I downloaded it off some random website because cydia kept giving me a timeout :/ though now it should be better. I usually get tetherme off xsellize. As for replacing the carrier.prl, I actually wrote out a set of instructions should I forget.... Ahem, here it is:

    Change PRL iPhone:

    -Original to custom method:

First, if possible, dial ##update# to revert back to original sprint prl. Make sure data and voice roaming are both ON.

Use ifile and and turn on pushprlflag in both sprint carrier bundles. It's located in carrier.plist. Open using property list viewer. Be sure to back out of the file.

Turn the phone off normally, then turn it back on. Once it boots it will say "searching", then "no service". Once you see the no service message open iFile, locate the prl file you want to update to, select edit, select the file, click the clipboard in lower right corner, then select copy/link. (Be sure the file is renamed as carrier.prl and that the c in carrier is lowercase.

Go back to the carrier bundle and paste the new prl in both bundles. Select overwrite all on the popup menu.

Wait about 60 seconds then go back into the sprint_us bundle only and turn off pushprlflag. Back out of the file then turn off the phone normally, than back on.

So does LTE advanced come back and do 10x10 everywhere? or are they only running 10x10 in giant markets?

Don't quote me on this but I'm pretty sure that sprint won't do 10x10 at all, just multiple 5x5 for capacity purposes. Once phones (or tablets) start supporting carrier aggregation, 2 5x5 should perform as well as a 10x10 so going for multiple 5x5 channels seems like a better plan for me if I was sprint. Correct me if I'm wrong though :P

I was reading the T-Mobile Blog and saw some interesting stuff posted about T-Mobile's interest in the 600 MHz spectrum band.

I was reading that and I noticed "Most importantly, to promote long-term competition, encourage auction participation, and prevent the further consolidation of spectrum below 1 GHz, the Commission should adopt rules that prohibit any licensee from acquiring more than a certain percentage of spectrum below 1 GHz, applied on a market-by-market basis. As we have noted elsewhere, adopting a spectrum-based cap equal to one-third of the available commercial mobile spectrum below 1 GHz would give bidders reasonable assurances that they can meaningfully compete for spectrum in a geographic area without the risk of only one or two of the largest carriers commandeering the entire market. Increasing the potential for successful participation will lead to increased participation by competitive carriers and ultimately increased revenue."

    Watch out AT&T and Verizon?
