  1. So I read that there will be a Note 3 Active. Will probably have the new flexible display and as early as November. If so, it will probably Tri-Band.

    Curved display, not flexible.

  2. We tried to pickup 5 iPhones 5S today on our business account no go with One Up. It is not available for business accounts. I wonder what is available for early upgrades on business accounts?

Business accounts are weird. I work at Best Buy and we can't do anything with those accounts, no upgrades or anything.

  3. The Verge complaints are mostly about the design of the phone which is with the back buttons and plastic feel and the software. I get it that since its a totally new idea to have the back buttons its going to take some time to get used to it although I think giving it a 6 is rather harsh given that a lot of other reviews I read don't have a huge issue with the back buttons.

Also the plastic feel is an old worn out complaint because you can just put a case and you don't have to deal with the plastic but I know tech bloggers never like to use cases so of course they are always going to deal with the plastic. Samsung even tried to put the faux leather on the Note 3 and the Verge still wasn't impressed since its still technically plastic with some fake stitching with faux leather.

So they are complaining about the whole phone. Lol. I've held the Note 3 and it's a very nice device. It feels like leather and the other physical characteristics are nice too.

  4. I don't even sell phones and I've easily convinced 10 people to go Android over iPhone.

Android simply isn't for everyone, as much as I like it or over iOS. Whatever works for my customers is what they will get.

  5. I would go Wi-Fi only before I gave VZW or AT&T any money. Signing up with one of the Twin Bells is giving them power and commiserating with evil.

With that evil comes good cell service though. Sacrifices, I guess.

  6. I am starting to think that Sprint is purposely delaying the LG G2 launch so that its LTE 2600 network is built out more before releasing it. We know the LTE 800 network won't be built any time soon so we can scratch that. However Sprint is trying to make some strong progress to complete up 5000+ LTE 2600 sites by the end of the year so I figure they are just trying to give the OEMs more time to build out the network as much as it can by late October. Just my 2 cents.

I don't think so. Look when Sprint started selling LTE devices instead of Wimax. LTE was pretty much nowhere to be found.

  7. Went to AT&T today to play with the G2. It is an awesome looking phone and super snappy, couldn't believe it. Was right next to the Note 2 and saw a huge contrast in screen brightness and clarity. I know the Note 3 will have an increased resolution, but this thing looked good.

Im 50/50 now with this and the Note3 mainly because I am worried about the size being too large. Hard decisions means there are good choices out there!

The Note 3 isn't really that much bigger and feels way nicer in hand and looks better in my opinion. I've played with both, the Verizon G2 though.

  8. I have a S3 currently, could you tell how the LTE signal was on the Note 3 versus your S4? Do you or anyone by extension know how the Note 3 LTE signal pick-up/performance would compare to the S3?

Figure if we can't get 800 LTE maybe the 1900 LTE pickup would be a little better than our current phones?

I didn't have time to do a comparison but here is a article about the new lte chips in the phone. http://gigaom.com/2013/09/05/thanks-to-a-new-chip-the-galaxy-note-3s-huge-screen-wont-kill-its-battery/
