  1. I received it months ago and do not have 4g yet in my area.. I think it's a marketing ploy.. To get you in their stores and upgrade to a spark ready phone Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
  2. you need to have band 41 to pick up 4g on colerain and only spark phones support this. Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

  5. was on 75s in northern Kentucky I forget which exit but saw a crew and crane working on a tower from the highway... can't wait seems like activity is North and South of us. sprint bring it home.. Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

I believe some of the gps issues could be an antenna design flaw. I lost all signal from mine and tried everything to fix it even a full restore and clean flash. I ended up pulling the back cover off and gently prying up on the contacts for the gps . then reassembled and viola all is well. I tend to put my phone in my back pocket and sit on it so this could be a localized issue... so if anyone else has this problem I would suggest doing this trick. also the lte antennas are on the rear cover so this may be why some see better rf signal then others.. still no updates on the US market.... I really want a 5.5"+ phone that's spark ready with 1080 display..... Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
  8. has been broadcasting 1900 for a while. does not support csfb as of yet also based on speed tests I'd say back haul isn't completed. Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
  9. if you have the g2 then use 5689#*980# then it and connection manager you will see the current setting and have a chance to select evdo with cdma Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
  10. if you have lte/cdma then your not forcing. usually when you force it's only on LTE which would disable voice calls if you were connected to lte and if you were not in an lte area then you would not have any cell coverage Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
  11. 5511 Colerain Ave is the address for the sprint tower this one is 3g only... the other is by golden corral Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
  12. it does but only band 41.. meaning you have to force lte only to access it Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
  13. good to know that the newer towers have cfsb enabled. From what I have heard they were saying that it would be disabled until the market was 80-90% complete Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
  14. it connects for a second Then switches back to 3g..in other states its been fine. I'll be up in Columbus later this week so I can let sensorly run I chalked it up to the towers not supporting csfb Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
  15. work in Fairfield and live in the west side so last tower would be Hamilton Ave exit on 275. never switched over... the one on Colerain hasn't been accepted yet that one I can force for band 41 only... else I only get "3g" more like 1x Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
  16. I have never gotten my g2 on lte in ohio unless I force it... what phone do you have? Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
  17. have you connected for extended periods with lte on your triband phone? mine won't stay connected in Fairfield.. that's as far east as I go. also no go on Hamilton Ave by 275 and Ronald Regan.. for the non csfb compatible 4g towers your phone will not stay connected Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
  18. yes it will periodically connect to lte and when it doesn't get the CSFB compatibility signal it disconnects. You can force LTE only and it will stay connected but calls will not go through. I changed mine to cdma only seemed to help with battery drain because of the constant brief switching. also because this is a Samsung market they won't switch CSFB on until majority of the towers have been upgraded. Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
  19. my service keeps dropping.. this is in Fairfield and in the west side.... hoping this is a sign that we are getting some more upgrades... kind of irritating that I'm getting so many missed calls since the phone won't ring..... sign of progress I guess Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

    LG G2 Users Thread!

So i have been having gps issues lately...where i was getting nothing more then a single blip of multiple satellite on gps tool box.. I tried restoring to factory tot file but no change. Decidedbto remove the back of the phone cover since the gps connections pass through to it noticed deep depressions in the pads that make contact to the antennas so i pried up on them a little and reassembled now my gps is working again..so fyi guess i cant leave my phone in my back pocket and sit on it anymore... Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
  22. Animal kingdom...thought my phone was going to catch fire...in ohio i usually see only 3g and .01mbps so this is quite some change Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
  23. 5689#*980# go down menu and select IOT then System Selection and last Network Mode., choose LTE by it self This only works on the g2 Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
