It depends in my opinion.  If your employer will pay for the dongle and you have the security needed. why not...  I try to use my hotspot as much as i can when traveling due to VPN access.  The hotspot is less than optimal when you need to use your phone and hotspot at the same time.

Just had another call with the support folks, and their indication was that the phone should grab back onto the MB pretty quickly.  He did notice that on my phone line, wifi-calling was still turned on (even though its off on my phone,) so he turned it off on their end as well to see if that made a difference.  Has now been 20 minutes since I got off the phone with him and I am still not connected to the MB.  The MB tech's are supposed to call me back now within 24 hours. :shrug: The support guys I have spoken with so far all seem to think that there may still be something wrong, but they just aren't seeing any errors indicating anything is wrong.  Maybe there isn't actually anything 'wrong' with my unit, but they all still seem to think that my phone should grab onto the thing nearly immediately.

i wonder if updating the PRL on your iPhone would help?

I had to move the Magic Box to another window since it was interfering with my wireless security camera. It does not receive a signal as well (24 previous, 20 now) as before but I will have to live with it. Will test again tonight when I get home.

The eclipse was cool in Nashville as well.  Unfortunately, I did not have a camera with a filter lens.  Luckily, the clouds stayed away during totality.  Here is a shot a friend that was with me took with the cloud cover that did not need a filter.

No..I wasn't aware of a blog posting about it..but I haven't been able to look around much either.

 

They sure don't send you much paperwork with it to describe what you should look for when hooking it up, aside from the QSG..

 

I guess I will just hang onto it and hope it comes to life soon.  Definitely not sending it back. if I have to, I'll put it in at my business location so that customer who come in will be able to use it. It's in a scarcely covered b25, b26 area.

 

 

No b41 anywhere around me (or even in Alabama that I'm aware of)

I think b41 is present in Auburn.  I will be there next Saturday and will find out.

Just after the eclipse in Nashville, I ran a Speedtest to see what was happening.  To say this is impressive with the amount of people in town is an understatement.  This test was taken with a 2CA phone on b41.
