  1. Too many variables to answer you question. Sometimes it depends on the tower you are connected to. If the traffic on b25 or b26 is light, you will connect to those channels instead of b41. If the traffic is high on that particular tower and it has b41, you will most likely be connected to b41. Unfortunately (that I know of), you cannot force an iPhone to connect and stay on b41. If Sprint has optimized the tower, you may try placing some distance between yourself and the tower. I am not sure of the topography of Clive, Iowa but if the line of sight is not impeded too much, you should be able to connect to the tower at a fair distance, hopefully with b41. The only drawback would be the distance will impact your data speed.
  2. Sprint sent a letter by FedEx to my home while we were away about new plans and phone upgrade for my wife.
  3. And people were complaining how long it took for the Sprint variant to arrive?
  4. It makes me wonder if you would be able to take your current phone and have a new sim card put in that would allow you to use all frequencies. In the case of the Sprint version of the i6, all the frequencies of the other carriers are built into the phone currently. Per Apple's website: Model A1586* Model A1524* CDMA EV-DO Rev. A and Rev. B (800, 1700/2100, 1900, 2100 MHz) UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1700/2100, 1900, 2100 MHz) TD-SCDMA 1900 (F), 2000 (A) GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz) FDD-LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 28, 29) TD-LTE (Bands 38, 39, 40, 41)
  5. I did the Apple update and also completed a carrier update and have the same 18.0 version.
  6. The information is being transmitted through the NFC controller and does not need wireless. Starts on page 24 of the document below from Apple: http://www.apple.com/privacy/docs/iOS_Security_Guide_Oct_2014.pdf
  7. My county and local police department use this. It is pretty good though it is used for the public. Not sure about first responders only.
  8. The fit is pretty good. I like that the backing is sturdier than the Spigen. it did add a little thickness to the overall size versus the Spigen but not enough for me to say it is too much. The buttons are molded into the case versus a frame that goes around the outside of the rubber. One other thing I have noticed in the short time is the ringer switch area of the Otter case is not as deep as the Spigen. It is easier to access.
  9. I agree with Josh. AT&T Mobile probably would have merged with another carrier. To show how my brain works: What would the marketing have looked like today if AT&T and Sprint had merged and Softbank then purchasing both? A yellow glowing Death Star?
  10. I have to say that I am impressed with the 6+. Being in the office the past couple of weeks and not using my phone that much, I am able to charge every other day with 25% still remaining. Another side note. I ordered a new case that is scheduled for delivery today from Otterbox. SYMMETRY IPHONE 6 PLUS BLACK I hope it offers more protection than the Spigen case. Just a little pessimistic about a rubber back instead to a more rigid one.
