How is everyone liking the 5X ? I returned my 6P last week and just ordered the 5X when it went on sale today. Currently using a LG G3 which isn't a bad phone either, not sure which one I'll make the daily driver yet.

I was in Mexico all week, and Sprint added the free data+voice+sms to my account. Speeds were awesome but hey, it's free.. Seemed to only have service in major cities.

I have an extra one of these now that I shipped the phone back. Shout if you want it.

I'd switch to cricket before at&t. Same network at less than half the cost. Don't know why anyone pays for. At&t service.

It's not market ,because my nexus 5 and LG G3 work just fine. I don't think this is a showstopper for me , just a minor annoyance at the moment . I don't get a lot of calls.connects back to LTE for me. wonder if it's a market deal? i am in a samsung market.

It connects back to LTE sometimes. Hit or miss. It will eventually move back to lte after a few minutes on 3G but only to B25 where it parks for another 5 minutes before switching to B41.
I live 300 yards from a B41 site.

It's definitely falling back to 3G after a call. The engineering screen and speed test confirm it.This is a well known Android 5.1+ bug (feature?). Affects a wide range of devices, and there currently is no way around it. You are on LTE, however for some reason devices are still seeing what appears to be a concurrent 1x signal as well. There is no CSFB or any other issue here. While the 1x signal is showing, the LTE data will not populate correctly. For some reason SCP is not able to see the current band. In the interim, LTE Discover can read the LTE band while this error is occurring.
This shows up when you lose LTE for a short time (say a phone call) and then re-connect to LTE. If you check the engineering screen (if they show any good data on the 6P, I don't remember) it should show that you are actually connected to B41.

Got my 6P today. It definitely has issues where after a call it stays on 3G or sometimes 1x800 and B25 (where I live right next to a B41 tower.) I'll post a screen shot. Not sure if this is an eCSFB issue because there is no problem getting calls, it's the reconnecting back to LTE after the call ends where I'm seeing an issue.

Ordered the phone Saturday, it shipped today. Seems they are getting faster.
128GB frost.

Anyone had their glass break on the back? I'm guessing not, but it's all over the news today. Guessing it's a non-issue, like bend-gate.

Where is Sprint with VOLTE? Other carriers rolling this out. I hate to see Sprint back in the familiar position of playing catch up again.

Root metrics needs to have a test to see how often carriers drop to 3g /etc when the phone is in your pocket.

WiFi calling had been bad on my G3. Frequently says it can't connect, mms doesn't work over text for me. Those are the two biggest issues. I'm lucky enough to live next to a B41 site so I don't need it and can't imagine relying on it. I would go Airrave if I needed home coverage.
-
I wish they would fix it so wifi calling works when your in airplane mode with wifi on. That's just stupid that it makes you disable airplane mode to make a wifi call. I'm on a G3.

I always make sure I go into corporate owned sprint stores and not authorized resellers. That helps with the cs experience.

I've never had a problem with Sprint support in the 10 years I've been with them. Always been solid for me.

The ip subnet default of this router was something like 192.168.8.0. I changed it to what my old router used, 192.168.1.0 /26 and devices on my home net worked again. In theory if all your devices dhcp it shouldn't matter but I had some static ip addresses in use.
-
I constantly get a network errors with my wifi calling even though my Internet is working fine for anything else. Seems really random.

I think many of us G3 owners are also skipping this upgrade cycle because it's not enough of an upgrade to justify paying out of pocket. I'm don't have an upgrade available until next year.
