Finally with TMobile. I was on Sprint Sero through the whole entire painfully slow LTE transition. I finally jumped ship to AT&T when it was obvious they were not making any progress with B26 in Phoenix. Now I'm on the 3 lines for $80 plan with hookup , and expect the bill to be $70 with kickback on one of the paid lines. I used to think Sero was a great deal but this is amazing.

Isn't there also carrier specific firmware on these that would require a reflash to say move it to at&t and have all their features work like wifi calling ?
The s7/7e/gn7 are all software locked based on Sim card used to activate it.
One hardware module differentiated only by software.

Just because they can be unlocked doesn't make them 100% compatible with the other carriers. Only a few sprint sold phones have all the right compatibility for the other big 3 wireless providers.

Interesting. I wonder if this works the same for the note 7 once they quit catching fire.

I would love a dual sim phone that I could activate on both sprint and cricket. Especially if it could be configured to use sprint as primary but fall back to cricket/Att when sprint lte is not available. That would be awesome for my usage.

Yes I noticed that too. I assume the CDMA version will be the USA variant and the gsm only phone the international one.

Looking for what phone I can order from Sprint, but can eventually take to any of the other 3 big carriers without missing any LTE bands . I believe the only phones Sprint sells that are truly carrier agnostic is the iPhone but curious if there are any android options. Last one I knew of was the Nexus 6.
A major thing I do not like about phones such as the Samsung galaxy/note is there are carrier specific versions and historically a Sprint variant always had less resale value than an AT&T or other variant.

The issue I have with flagship phone on Sprint is they usually didn't have all the LTE bands for other carriers and this lowered resale value. Only the iPhone was truly carrier agnostic. If I buy a galaxy s7 I want to be able to take it to any other carrier.

If I stay on Sprint I'm going to dump the moto x. While it's a great photo it's clear that Sprint never bothered to integrate it into their network properly. From my experience over the the past year :
CA doesn't work
Domestic roaming doesn't work, native Sprint coverage only.
I have Sprint open world but could not get data in Canada.
I'm going to get an iPhone for the simple fact that it's the only phone you can easily take to other carriers that Sprint knows how to support property, and has wifi calling.

Be interesting to know if anyone has been able to get the Moto x to work GSM data in Mexico or Canada.

I called them.. They can't figure it out. What's weird the Moto x has no screen for APN settings and things like that. I think sprint just has their setup wrong for this phone. It also became obvious that they are not as good supporting phones they don't sell. You'll need to contact sprint international support. Usually it'd account settings that they mess with.

Hey everyone. I'm traveling in Canada and can't get any GSM data to work with the Moto x pure. I have Sprint open world so it should be working. Voice and text work, but nada on data. Network is set to global, and I've updated profile.
Any suggestions ?

They are great but call an echo test line and you'll see the massive delay I'm talking about .

I have a couple phones activated on R+ and noticed there is a lot of latency in voice calls, over 1 second. Not something I can live with as my primary phone service but I'll use it for a backup internet connection .

If anyone is looking to pick this phone up, Amazon has it as an upcoming deal of the day for $100 off. As long as you don't mind broken CA, because it's not working and I don't need to be a scientist to figure that out

6P users are complaining about the same issue.

I've heard that Verizon speeds are throttled more on ST vs at&t on ST. Probably way better coverage with Verizon though.

It's nice when your downloading a large file.
Maybe it's fixed in 6.0 but I'm guessing not.

I noticed the nexus 6p had much higher bandwidth tests in my house , so I agree that it's not working.

Is it confirmed that this phone does CA on Sprint ?

Weird. Wish I could figure out how to debug it a bit more. Doubt its the phone since the nexus 6p did the exact same things. Only hardware in common was I used the same sim card. Maybe I should get it swapped.I don't have that problem at all.

Got my Moto X pure in the mail today after returning a Nexus 6P. I'm seeing the identical issue the 6P had where after hanging up a phone call the phone returns to 3G for 3-4 minutes before returning to LTE.
I'm wondering if it's just a bug in the newer Snapdragons, my Nexus 5 and LG G3 never have this issue. Guess I'll learn to live with it, I don't get that many phone calls.

We were able to get on the T-Mobile hookup code 20% discount which feels a lot like bring back on Sero but with TMobile. 3 lines of unlimited data for $80 is a smoking deal.
