  1. I am pretty sure that I've had my updates show up right after they upload. There's never been anything like an hours delay, etc... I normally stop my mapping in Sensorly, then go to the status screen and watch as the data I collected uploads. The longer you drive around mapping, the larger the number of updates, and the longer the upload takes. The faster your connection up, the better. You also need to make sure you connect to Wifi, if you set Sensorly to only update over Wifi.
  2. Also, I see my updates in Sensorly pretty pretty soon after I upload them. Sent from my Galaxy S III
  3. I can't see any new info in Brandon or Largo in Sensorly. Anyone who's been mapping should check that their Sensorly app is uploading the map data. You can verify this in the app here: > Menu > Details > Messages to send (there should be numbers here), and the status should say 'SENDING' when it's uploading data. There is a 'Force send' button at the top right next to the search button. Sent from my Galaxy S III
  4. You guys picking up LTE in Brandon/Valrico should try to record where the coverage is in Sensorly. Don't tempt me drive to drive all the way out there to do it myself... Sent from my Galaxy S III
  5. You were way on the Western edge of the tower's coverage. I could barely get my phone to pick up LTE there. Also, you are closer to other towers so your phone would have been trying to connect to them instead. Sent from my Galaxy S III
  6. If this is even patially true, I imagine I'll be putting a lot of miles on my vehicle mapping LTE on Sensorly over the holiday.... Sent from my Galaxy S III
  7. I drove by the Kia dealer tower you mentioned (TA03XC040). The tower is just East of the I-75/Bruce B Downs/SR54 Intersections. There are actually 3 different cell towers at the site. I have a picture of all three towers, and then close-ups of each individual cell tower. Again, I could not get really close, so I had to use the digital zoom on my GS3, and the quality is not outstanding. I'm not totally sure which tower has the Sprint Panels on it. Nor can I really tell if there are Network Vision LTE panels on the Sprint tower. There is currently no Sprint LTE coming from the tower.
  8. I got some fair quality photos of a couple of towers we've been discussing lately... First, here are two photos of the live LTE tower in Land O Lakes (TA73XC100). I didn't get very close to the tower, so I had to use the digital zoom on my GS3. But, you should still be able to see the Network Vision (NV) LTE Panels with RRUs in the center of the lower set of cellular antennas.
  9. Thanks. I may check it for LTE when I pass by the area, and maybe go take a picture of it. But as of this morning, it is definitly not transmitting LTE yet... Sent from my Galaxy S III
  10. There is a map in the article showing LTE service 'launch' towers, but the tower I am speaking of (ta54xc002) isn't one of them. That just means I'll have to wait longer... Sent from my Galaxy S III
  11. It is on SR 54 in Wesley Chapel, just west of Eiland Blvd/Morris Bridge Road. Around 5 miles East of I75. Sent from my Galaxy S III
  12. I may have answered my own question... I looked at the 'Tampa Network Vision/LTE Deployment schedule update' article on this site, and it doesn't look like my neighborhood tower is part of the initial LTE 'launch'... Crap! Sent from my Galaxy S III
  13. Any way to get info on the NV upgrade status of the tower near my house? TA54XC002. I took some pictures of it today. I don't think I see NV panels or RRUs, but I'm no expert... Sent from my Galaxy S III
  14. I agree. I75 and SR56 have a pretty much unobstructed line of site to that tower. The intermittant spots seem to be due to neiborhoods and other obstructions. That being said, I can pick up LTE most of the way to other Sprint Towers. So things will be pretty nice when they also get LTE... Sent from my Galaxy S III
  15. Yeah, I drove S on Bruce B Downs and then a little East through the Meadow Point Subdivision. I'm certain that the LTE is only coming from the Land O Lakes tower. There's some new LTE coverage info on Sensorly from my drive this morning. Sent from my Galaxy S III
  16. My wife has an iPhone 5, and IT has a much harder time connecting to LTE. It seems like the iPhone 5 needs to be much closer to the tower than I do with my GS3. Sent from my Galaxy S III
  17. I'm attempting to upload the new Sensorly data I got this morning. You should be able to see it soon...
  18. Guys... Some interesting news. I picked up LTE on SR56, several miles East of Bruce B Downs. I cannot imagine that this could be from the same Land O Lakes tower I mapped earlier. I will do a drive later to see if there may be another tower live over in Wesley Chapel somewhere. The connection seemed to weaken as I traveled West towards the Wiregrass Mall. Also, I do have a Galaxy SIII, but I'm often having to toggle airplane mode or mobile data to get LTE at the fringes of a tower's area. I did not do thi this morning. 4G just lit up all on it's own. More to come... Sent from my Galaxy S III
  19. I passed the SR54 @ I75 area today on my Sensorly mapping trek of the Land O Lakes tower. There was no LTE coming from the area around the Kia dealer on SR54. I live on SR54, 5 miles West of I75. Believe me, I'll be checking that tower and the one near my house pretty regularly. But, definitly nothing yet... Sent from my Galaxy S III
  20. While driving home & running an errand I continued some more Sensorly mapping around the LTE tower in Land O Lakes. I was able to keep a 4G connection on SR54, North of the SR56 fork, East of the tower. 4G stayed connected almost to the small airport on SR54. I was also able to pickup 4G after turning South from SR54 onto Bruce B Downs. The signal came and went as I drove S on BBD. I then drove into the Seven Oaks Subdivision, driving N on Ancient Oaks @ SR56 near Sams Club. I was able to get 4G off and on in the subdivision almost to the I75/SR54 exit area. I believe the hit or miss nature of the connection was due to obstructions like buildings & trees, etc. Also, I had to toggle mobile data anytime I lost the 4G connection. I wouldn't expect to get 4G well at the edges of the area. That is until more near by towers get LTE... Also, all of the new mapping should be on Sensorly already... Sent from my Galaxy S III
  21. I just jumped on I 75 heading south at State Road 54 this morning and started mapping on Sensorly. I had to toggle mobile data to pick up 4g. But connected to 4G just south of State Road 54, before the rest areas. The 4g continued down I 75, and then continued down I 275. I had to toggle airplane mode several times but I was able to get 4g intermittently almost to Livingston. Like before, I think there is another closer 3G tower nearer by that my phone switches to. Sent from my Galaxy S III
  22. Looking at the Sensorly Sprint 4G/LTE maps of the towers in Land O Lakes, St Pete and Spring Hill, it's kind of amazing to see how far the individual towers cover. I can't wait for more towers to get LTE. Especially the Sprint tower on SR54 in Wesley Chapel, just West of Eiland Blvd. That tower is less than half a mile from my house. I can walk out of my front door and see it peeking out of the trees. I may get my telephoto camera lense out to see if I can spot any NV panels & RRUs on the tower... Sent from my Galaxy S III
  23. I went on a Sensorly mapping drive this evening to see how far I could drive away from the Land O Lakes Tower I'd mapped earlier. I was able to go pretty far North on Collier Parkway and a good distance South on Livingston Rd from the tower. I also drove through some random roads & neighborhoods in the area trying to see how far I could go. Someone else may want to fill in some of the gaps? I did pickup 4G while traveling Northbound on I275 after Bears, around the Livingston Rd overpass. I had to toggle mobile data to connect. But, it kept switching to 3G. I suspect there was a stronger/closer 3G tower. Unfortunately, I don't see any of my 4G data from I275 on Sensorly for whatever reason. I may try that route again going Southbound, if noone beats me to it... Also, it seems that my phone will hold on to a 4G signal as I drive away from the 4G tower. If I drive towards the same tower, I don't seem to aquire the 4G until I get much closer to the tower. Toggling mobile data seems to help... I can't explain how I got 4G so far South on Northbound I75 near Bruce B Downs Blvd earlier today. I had toggeled my mobile data when I connected to 4G. Could the tower in Land O Lakes be aimed in that direction? Or is there another 4G tower somewhere in New Tampa? Sent from my Galaxy S III
  24. I suspect there may be more LTE coverage from the L O Lakes tower on I275 S of the I75 interchange and also South on Livingston @ County Line rd. Sent from my Galaxy S III
  25. The 4G speeds I saw around Land O Lakes were around 10Mb down and 5Mb up, with some spots higher some lower. I got up to 24Mb down and over 10Mb up on I75 in Cocoa... Sent from my Galaxy S III
