  1. Nope, not until it is fixed. They've tried twice and failed. Is the third time the charm? Will there be third time? Do you want to be locked into a 2yr with a phone that might be fixed based on hunch?

What are all the current issues with the Phone? I know there are some data connectivity issues.

  2. I am a creature of habit. I doubt I would even use siri. Not to mention I would look like a douche talking to my phone. I tried vlingo, Google now, etc. I hate it all. I even hate the voice control on Microsoft sync in my vehicles.

Not to mention, siri should be on all the iPhones by now. iOS software upgrade farce... but that is about the largest selling point for 4S over 4

That is very true. I think they should of gave Siri to all of the iPhones like they did 'The New Ipad"

  3. If you live in a Round One or Two LTE market, you would kick yourself repeatedly for three quarters of your contract. Doesn't sound like a good idea.

If you live in a 2013 market, you are still rolling the dice. Sprint will not be 100% complete by the end of 2013, but they are planning to have a launchable amount of service in every market by that time. So even if you were in one of the last markets, you would still only be just over halfway through your contract when LTE launches in your market. And likely LTE would be sporadically available earlier than that.

In my mind, I would not buy the 4S over the 5 in any way. Unless I was giving it to a child. I would even rather wait another few weeks or months to save up the money for the difference in cost if you had to.

Anyone who buys the 4S now will get to the point at some time in their contract that they will regret it.

I guess, I'll just buy those stupid lightening adapters, cause I have a lot of cords for my iPod Touch....lol Apple knows who to bleed the average consumer dry....smh.

  4. Since today is the first official day that the iPhone 5 has been released. Do y'all think the iPhone 4S is still at good buy for 100 bucks?

    What do you guys think?

Since LTE is still rolling out, it will take sometime for people to really see what LTE is about......

  5. TEP does not cover iPhones. If you want insurance then your options are best buy, third party like square trade or AppleCare+.

I thought by know they would of change this up, like AT&T and VZW.

  6. Its so funny to me that most people seem to not know when you are joking AJ. After reading Darnell89's response I started to LMAO!!!!!! Darnell89 might be MacinJosh but in a parallel universe.

lol, I have my slow moments....smh....

  7. To be clear, I was only joking. Big financial institutions hold retreats in places like Jackson Hole. S4GRU is not at that level yet, but it would be cool if we get there eventually.

    AJ

AJ u joke so damn much....smh..... lol I really think we could do stuff like that. Really don't see having retreats, conventions, and other events being an issue. We just have sure people will be serious about it and not play games.

  8. I think it would be cool to setup some kind of Meetups for Sprint user and people who love Sprint. We should do it by States or Cities and have different types of outings from bars to random events and talk about Sprint and other stuff.....lol

I think it would be cool and interesting!

    What does everyone think???

  9. I think Sprint is having slower pre-order sales compared to last year. I remember the 16GB sold out right away (still the same this year)... however the 32GB was sold out by the monday following pre-order kickoff. Doesn't seem to be the case this year.

EDIT: Just had a thought... could be possible that all the people that already have the Sprint iPhone 4S are not likely to upgrade since it would be minimum $649 to get a new iPhone 5.

That is true, or people are not switching til NV or LTE hits their market. 3G is still straining all over the place. People are starting to realize it.

  10. I don't think the sell-through on the iphone has been lower than expected. Unless Sprint is out right lying on its earnings calls, which probably isn't a good thing for them to do, then they've matched or exceeded their sales estimates for the iphone. The iphone has been their number one selling phone since they released it on sprint. I'd be curious to see if that's still true with the EVO LTE now out.

And of course once the next iphone is released and it has LTE onboard, then phones will fly off the shelf once again for a quarter or two. I"m sure Apple and Sprint will show record sales of iphones in the quarter following the release.

True, but you also gotta remember, who was the most people, who brought the iPhone on Sprint.....New Customers, made the most impact on the phone when it came out. Less people who renewed their contact percent was less buying the iPhone. The EVO should sell pretty well. A lot of people still don't like Apple as much as Android. The iPhone LTE should do much better, once Sprint gets their network working correctly a lot of people should stay, and they shouldn't lose as many people.
