Ok, thanks.

Is there any way I can speed up the PCS refarming process?

So this is from Saws Twitter feed. What info do we have on the antenna that's with the 5g
What do you mean? If you want to see the antennas, head over to the Equipment Spotting section and look at the Massive MIMO antennas.

Currently no. An install like this is new to me .. I’m guess it’s a cheaper install for sprint , but will find out more info soon ..
Ok, cool. Is there netting on the bottom where the connections are?

Correct! It is not .. what I was told it is a higher capacity panel.. it will serve our college football stadium which has a high amount of ppl during certain events: football games, monster truck shows, bowl games etc..
Do you have any specs on it?

Band 41 really does help them in the speed department. Now if only they could improve upload speeds so people could get something around 40 up. 2xca and 64 qam should help just doesn't look like 64 qam is on upload
I'd be happy with a consistent 25Mbps up. That would be great!

Someone was in one of the equipment sheds working on the tower near my residence today. They've been there for a couple hours. Not sure if it's Sprint or T-Mo.

Oh ok, I can only assume that new equipment has been installed. For years now my only issue with sprint in atlanta was how horrible data service was at the airport but data any where else in atlanta was damn near perfect. Now I would say that within the last 2 years or so, data service has improved exponentially at the airport(including the plane train). So improvements have been made to some extent. I stay travelling and I would say I'm at atlanta airport at least 12 times per year if not more.
Yeah in my experience service at the airport was pretty sketchy for the most part. When I went through back in December I couldn't hit 5Mbps on the north end of concourse B. When I went back through at the beginning of January I was getting about 30Mbps right in the middle of concourse B.

Why wouldn't they?
They didn't before. Don't know if a new DAS system was part of the Super Bowl upgrades or not.

Nope, not nationwide. The amount they hold can vary too. They just hold a lot where it really matters. There are still lots of BRS/EBS out there. There is actually a bi-yearly 2.5GHz auction.
So will Sprint be jumping in on this auction? Or are they going to wait to see what happens down the road?

Does the Atlanta Airport have a DAS now?

Hit 51Mbps down in Grand Forks today on 10x5 band 25 (downlink CA). First time breaking 50Mbps in Grand Forks and on band 25.

Yes, possible, although you shouldn't be able to connect to that cell…
Yeah, there's lots of things that shouldn't be happening.

This page says 5MHz is limited to only having 15kHz SCS.

What does that mean?

RSRP was -88dBm. Are a SINR and RSRQ that low even possible?

If something so critical as R&S at a cell site is EOL'd then they're likely long replaced. Most recent Sprint sites that are documented use newer generation Cisco routers / switches.
I figured they would've upgraded them by now but I wasn't sure if they did or what they upgraded them to.
-
I know they used to use Cisco MWR2941's but they were EoL'd in 2013. Does Sprint still use them or have they since been upgraded?

Has anyone found band 71 in the Hilton Head island area yet?
According to https://maps.t-mobile.com/pcc.html?map=mvno-noroam-34l there is no band 71 deployed in that area yet.

Two new PCIs detected today on the northwest side of Grand Forks. PCIs 171 and 119 are new. Not sure where these new cells are. I get -85 on RSRP indoors at the intersection of 42nd and University. Anyone aware of any new installs? I'll be on the hunt for the next few days to see if I can figure out what changed.
