  1. Well, it looks like T-Mobile purchased SWIFTEL. Looks like the action date is TODAY. https://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/ApplicationSearch/applMain.jsp?applID=12386667
  2. Once they add that Band4/66 layer you will definitely see a difference in speeds.
  3. Yes, this should be very very interesting. They definitely need the spectrum and Brookings needs actual T-Mobile coverage. Would also help out Sioux Falls immensely and maybe you would actually see stores finally. They are dragging their feet in that market on stores and judging from the comment from Camcroz, I can see why. I am sure that the Band 12/Band 71 additions at least helped, but once again they definitely need Band 4 to give it a stronger base.
  4. T-Mobile needs to add Band 4 in Sioux Falls. Can you tell us what the Band layering looks like - IE-Band 12 5x5, Band 71 etc.....that would be great. I am out in Rapid City.
  5. Just thought I would chime in with a report from Rapid City SD. There has been movement on the Sprint front over the past couple of months. We have approvals for 2 new sites in the city. Site 1 is a brand new tower at 611 Lindbergh Ave at the GoodWill off from Haines Ave. Site 2 is a co-location with the other 3 on the tower at 3305 S Valley Dr. Fairly certain Sprint Spectrum is broadcasting from 5 other sites in the city as well, but don't have a way to double check at this point. Lots of movement again from T-Mo so my hands are full there. If I see any more Sprint activity, I will advise.
  6. In this are 600mhz has been cleared for quite some time so they do the site upgrade and antennas at the same time and launch. It may be that they are getting the site ready, then when it's time they will just add the antennas and launch. T-Mobile is known for doing that. Sent from my LG-H932 using Tapatalk
  7. That is correct. Believe me the look much larger in person. Sent from my LG-H932 using Tapatalk
  8. 2nd set of equipment only. 3 sectors. Top rack is ATT. Sent from my LG-H932 using Tapatalk
  9. Okay, here we go. 2nd set of equipment. Here is what it looks like. This site was originally 5mhz Band 4 and 5mhz Band 12. It is now 5mhz Band 2, 5mhz Band 4, 5mhz Band 12 and 10mhz Band 71. This tower is in Rapid City SD on Haines Ave. Sent from my LG-H932 using Tapatalk
  10. Will have a pic for you within the hour. Sent from my LG-H932 using Tapatalk
  11. I will get one for you tomorrow. Sent from my LG-H932 using Tapatalk
  12. That seems to be the case. When you see those super wide antennas, they are adding Band 71. At least that is how it has worked around here. I think you said you are in Colorado? I know they are doing work down there currently. Sent from my LG-H932 using Tapatalk
  13. Those antennas are super WIDE. They have been upgrading my area (Western South Dakota) over the past couple months and should be fully complete by end of December. Of course I also monitor NE Wyoming which has been LIVE since the beginning of this year. The 600mhz does make a difference for sure. Also mutiple new sites going up so it's a very exciting time for T-Mo in this area. First stores opened a year ago in August. Sent from my LG-H932 using Tapatalk
  14. That is correct. Disappearing about a year from now. Expect it sooner in most cases/places as they need the spectrum for LTE. https://www.fiercewireless.com/wireless/verizon-stops-activating-cdma-3g-devices-as-network-shutdown-looms Sent from my LG-H932 using Tapatalk
  15. That's a great question....however, a year from now 1x/CDMA will no longer exist on Verizon as they will be the first pure LTE network after they shut down 3G. Should make their current roaming agreements very interesting. Sent from my LG-H932 using Tapatalk
  16. UPDATE-Catron Blvd and Keystone sites completed. Not yet broadcasting Band 71. Assume Wall has been competed as well. Will check later this week. Sent from my LG-H932 using Tapatalk
  17. In Wyoming you have to have a Band 71 phone for certain as sites are Band 4 and Band 71. Going to be similar here soon if you want the BEST experience. Sent from my LG-H932 using Tapatalk
  18. Greetings everyone. Finally reporting from the Black Hills of South Dakota and Northern Wyoming. T-Mobile has done a rock solid job in Wyoming. All mapped on Cellmapper. Only hole is at Sundance, however, a site looks like it's coming there. This gives solid T-Mobile coverage on I-90 from the South Dakota/Wyoming border through Gillette and beyond. Will map sites beyond and across to Sheridan WY after the Sturgis motorcycle rally. In South Dakota, 600mhz is here. Black Hawk SD site was upgraded yesterday. Catron Blvd site is scheduled next-LIVE date is showing 22AUG18. Keystone and Wall are also scheduled for August. Expect many more to come. The Golden West tower in Sturgis that T-Mobile was using as a temp tower during the rally is being upgraded to a full suite permanent site. Band 2/4/12 like the other tower in Sturgis. Rapid City has been promised 4 new sites by EOY. I expect them sooner. Will advise when I know more. Things are hopping and Sprint is now in the mix as well. It's a great time for this area.
  19. Hello Robert. Getting to this post EXTREMELY LATE. Found a Golden West/Sprint permit back in June for the site on Skyline Drive. It's titled SPRINT PROJECT RURAL LICENSE PROTECTION. It shows 800mhz and 1900mhz going on that site. Also, if you have a phone with BAND 25/26 and you search Networks, Sprint is now showing up as an option. I applied for a SPRINT account but had to call in for additional info. They want me to come in with 2 forms of ID to prove my identity. Hmmm, a bit difficult. May head to Cheyenne as many T-Mo sites are not yet mapped. Will advise when I do and will do some tracking here. My other tracking is ramping up exponentially as they are finally fixing their mistake. Posting in other forum on that. Hope all is well. Take care.

  23. Yes, that is a HUGE problem on the Westside. I am actually going to take him to that VZW site on Skyline and the VZW site up behind AAMCO as those both would be PERFECT locations and would fill existing issues. I think that Skyline site would really cover the westside fairly well. I am also going to show him the highrise by the hospital and the site at Golden West off from Deadwood Ave as that is a weak area as well. I actually think they should strike a deal with the hospital and put the gear there. The hospital is currently in the middle of a 200 million dollar expansion and they may be able to strike a deal with equipment and providing service. I had a friend that worked there until recently, and he said they are unhappy with VZW and have potentially 700-800 lines to move. I talked to T-Mobile about it but we all agree, until the holes are fixed, it's a dead horse. Then we are off to the Hills. I am taking him everywhere and have advised that I would like a whole day so that we can make detailed notes. The engineering team isn't on the ground here and doesn't seem to understand topography for some reason. They seem to claim that west Rapid City should have excellent coverage..........cough, cough, cough....
  24. One more thing of note, all the TV Stations above channel 37 in the Rapid City SD BEA/PEA have been notified of the fact that they have to go lower on the dial to make way for 600mhz. The latest date for them to be moved is listed as the 16MAR18 to begin testing by T-Mobile. This will clear the way for 600mhz in the Black Hills area. I have already been advised that any further coverage in this area will be done using 600mhz, not 700mhz. This means that Lead/Deadwood, Spearfish, Whitewood and all new sites will have 600mhz on them and we should hopefully be seeing it fairly swiftly as T-Mobile tends to move quickly. Also, in Wyoming, the sites in and around Gillette, Wright, Newcastle are completed, however, channels in Sundance, Gillette, and Pringle all are in the process of moving before they can light anything up. First date on testing is 04FEB18 and the latest 16MAR18-Pringle station, so I should be getting a bit busy around here. This also explains the misfire on Gillette a couple of weeks back.
