  1. I use that map also, it shows other coverage in Montana but the folks over at S4GRU said that someone is spoofing the coverage in Montana so hopefully your post is legit.

I use that app also but I've been told that people are making fake coverages becuause it shows coverage in Montana and North Dakota that isn't true.

If you zoom in on it on Sensorly.com on a computer, it will tell you when the measurement was taken.  That particular swath was added in March of 2016, so it's fresh.

To your point, look at the LTE purple in Alaska - it's a few years old and obviously an error.

  2. . I don't mean to sound unreasonable either. Normally, my mother would just return the item after shipment, but this is a bit different case, as T-Mobile isn't being honest about anything, and now we simply cannot trust them at all. I am very much awaiting on switching to AT&T, G5. will be more fair towards its buyers.

You don't mean to sound unreasonable? You certainly are. You belly ached about Sprint then said how happy T-Mobile gave you an unbelievable deal. Now they suck.

I'm taking bets how long before AT&T treats you wrong and you want to try US Cellular.

  3. I have it activated on my account but I don't ever use it. I tried to remove it but it won't let me. Do I need to call CS to remove it?

You can do it from your phone. Go to settings, phone, wifi-calling, then I think you hit change address and you'll have an option to remove it. I haven't done it in awhile so I may be a bit off but it's in that screen.

  4. To add one more counterpoint to the discussion, Omaha.  It is a smaller, non major league, and less attractive city than Kansas City.  Yet, Omaha has an impressive five longstanding Fortune 500 companies.  They have not relocated to other cities.  They are able to recruit employees.  The idea that the Midwest is a non destination is false, and it seems to be floated by people with a coastal bias.

Saw this on the news a few weeks ago and remembered we were having this discussion here..

Experts say ConAgra’s move to Chicago is about tapping young, hip talent pool

  5. The legacy site that just won't stop. Downtown Baton Rouge legacy rebuild.  New single band antennas, new coax, and legacy cabinets moved from the roof to the sidewalk during the building construction.

Figured some of you would get a kick out of these.

Unbelievable that site is still untouched...

Good to see you around though!

  6. Thanks. Wifi calling is on my plan, but no way to remove it from online. I read something about this too. I turned on wifi calling when I first got my phone, but then turned it off. I followed someone else steps to turn on, then on the update address section disable it from there and then to ##update#.

Now I need to call my wife an see if it's better. Is there any indication that HD voice is working other than better audio quality?

You may want to chat with Sprint on their website to ask for them to remove it on both phones, then do the ##update#

No - there is no indicator that you are on HD voice.  It usually starts standard then a slight pause then it switches to HD.  Trust me - you'll know if you are on HD or not.

  7. HI!

Moved back to sprint from Verizon and have 2 iphone 6s Plus on my account.

    I'm located in Chicago.

Calls between the 2 phones on account sound terrible. Certainly not what I'm used to on Verizion "HD voice". Sounds like the other person is under water and just hard to understand.

    Anyone else? Any suggestions?

Check to see if you have wifi calling on your account -- apparently if you DO, it prohibits the iPhone from using HD calling for some reason.  It can be removed online if you don't have a need for it (and being in Chicago, you likely don't).

  8. I was told that AppleCare didn't count for proper insurance on a lease, and that if I had AppleCare and got a replacement, my lease would come due in full. Anyone with Sprint care to clarify? I much prefer to have AppleCare over the very expensive TEP.

I can't provide any documentation proving this, but my wife's phone is on lease and had a problem with the speaker.  I called the Sprint store and asked what I should do since it's a lease, and they told me just take to Apple store.  I asked what would happen if it required a replacement and they said it doesn't matter as long as you turn in the same model at end of lease.  They don't necessarily care about the serial#.

  9. Run a speedtest or several and then swap to field test. Carrier Aggregation only kicks in after a data session is initialized and it takes a few seconds.

Note his download frequency changed from the first screen to second - he's definitely in an area with second B41 carrier active.

  10. Which screens do ya want.. there are a lot more then I remember..

The serving cell info is most valuable one..    On the 6, the FREQ BAND INDICATOR will show what band you are on (25, 26,41).  Yours is showing 1092552756.  And with your speed, you are likely on B41 CA.  Maybe a funky number in the FREQ BAND INDICATOR indicates CA..

Keep your eye on that serving cell screen for us please..

-- EDIT - the screen I meant was "Serving Cell Info"
