Impressive that they're already at 20x20 n25 when phone support is as spotty as it is tbh. Not that I'm complaining...

Yeah I was surprised they cut B2 lte back to just 10x10. So here that makes 140MHz n41, plus either 10x10 or 15x15 n25 plus 5x5 n25 plus 15x15 n71 active here now. I wonder how long it will be before they cut into their 40MHz B41 to increase n41 to either 160 or 180MHz. Not that backhaul is sufficient to max out what is already on air now.

  2. I've noticed that T-Mobile has changed their n2 and B25 LTE carriers in the past few days. Instead of just shrinking one and expanding the other they flipped them, the 15x15 that was B2 LTE is now n25, and the 10x10 n25 is now B2 LTE. Not sure why they did it that way since they have 30x30 to play with. They must be keeping some reserved for 3G still within Louisville and didn't want to shift that. I noticed once I get south of Jefferson county it shifts to 20x20 n25 and 10x10 B2 still flipped from previous configuration but with n25 expanded.

Re: Unable to edit site notes -- try disabling the mobile cell timestamp option and see if that works. That was a bug I (thought) I fixed but perhaps I discovered it after the last update went out. I will have a new beta ready soon, that fix is definitely included.

I'll look into the blank line issue.. must be something goofed up with the timestamp. Send a diagnostic when you see it please!

I tried disabling that with no change. I did notice if I turn my 2nd SIM on and enable dual sim support I can edit the note on the 2nd sim but not the primary.

  4. Hey Mike, sent a diagnostic report this morning. For some reason on one of my phones I am not able to add or edit site notes. I double checked I didn't have them locked. I exited and restarted app multiple times. Wanted to see if you needed anything else before I try an uninstall and reinstall of SCP.

Looks like Verizon and AT&T finally got around to doing spectrum swaps here in central KY after Verizon bought Bluegrass Cellular. Looks like they swapped a 5x5 PCS block allowing AT&T to go to 20x20 (was 10x10, 5x5, 5x5) and Verizon to go to 10x10 (was 5x5, 5x5). Looks like AT&T also swapped their 5x5 AWS block for Verizons 5x5 B12, so now they have 10x10 b12 in a large part of rural KY and Verizon increases their AWS to 15x15 + 10x10. This definitely helps clean up AT&Ts spectrum holdings here, going from 3 different PCS carriers and 3 AWS to a single large PCS and 2 AWS carriers.

I didn't catch it at first but as part of these swaps it looks like AT&T got Verizon's PCS C4 block in Louisville and to the north/east. This makes sense as they already own A+D in that area so they traded their AWS C block to Verizon for their PCS C4 block here. This gives AT&T 20x20 + 10x10 now in PCS for these areas and also means Verizon now has 0 PCS in Louisville. Hopefully AT&T can now work with T-Mobile to swap and make their holdings whole. i wonder if AT&T will flip the 10x10 carrier to NR soon.

I run SCP on an S22 frequently and have no mapping issues; that being said, I always leave the app open while driving. My guess is the multitasking caused the poor quality, but Mike might have a better answer.

Did you/she turn off battery optimizations for SCP? Samsung has really aggressive battery optimizations for background processes. If you don't turn it off, then the app won't log points like normal.

I just checked both my S22s and it looks like when the Android 13 update installed it reset my battery usage settings for apps I had set to unrestricted. I didn't think to check that until you all mentioned it.

Am aware, but that would require a factory reset and a Windows machine, and I'd rather not do the former right now, and don't have a Windows machine with me for the next week. GF's Pixel 7 may support n25 out of the box anyway, so I may be able to test with hers.

Unless you need to load new firmware, I did not see that mentioned. Can you point out where that is mentioned in the XDA link?

Correct I did not have to factory reset or flash anything on either of my phones. I had to use my laptop to run the program to unlock the menu on the phone, and the rest was just following the procedure on what settings to change.

Looking forward to getting SA n25 on my S22 eventually to do further testing...

If you don't want to wait for T-Mobile to enable it you can follow the instructions from the S22 thread here to enable it. That's how I'm able to get it on my S22 ultra right now. That also worked on my AT&T S22 and even unlocked the band selection menu, so *#2263# works on my AT&T phone now too.

My s22 will not connect to n41 SA unless n71 is also involved. Looks like n71 is needed for the VONR part.

I was seeing n41+n41 SA earlier, so it's definitely a thing, though lately my phone's been on NSA, 2/66+n41+n41.

I see n41 + n41 regularly, probably 90% of the time. Its pretty rare to see n41 + n71 around here. Haven't seen 3x CA yet either, so might start seeing all 3 together once that rolls out. Also, turns out I missed a step on the "hack" to enable SA bands. I do have all SA bands enabled on my phone now but still not seeing any n25 here. Side note, that procedure also worked on my AT&T phone and I even have access to the band selection menu now. Once I switched the CSC from ATT to GCF all options appeared. I'd assume it'd work for Verizon or any other carrier also.

  10. I had an issue last night when I got home, I tried to upload web data but once the dialog saying "Validating Account" popped up the app froze up. On one phone I had to go into settings and force stop SCP, on my other phone I got the system dialog box for it not responding and restarted from there. Both phones were on my WiFi when it happened so it shouldn't have been a connection issue. Once I restarted SCP on both phones I was able to upload just fine. I sent a diag report from one of my phones.

  12. Anyone else having trouble with messages? I had to turn chat features off to get anything to send to another android phone. I keep getting duplicate messages also with chat features on. Works fine on just SMS/MMS. Feels like issue started right after the last Android update.

I reread everthing and can see where you are coming from.  Some aspects are definately foward looking: “We’re rapidly executing on our vision to deliver the highest capacity network this country has ever seen". I need to test on a s22, but that phone is currently not available to me for a few more days.

I've tried to force my S22 to connect to n25 but so far nothing.

I just noticed that the two n41 bands have moved around a bit. The 100MHz band moved up to 520110, placing it right at 2600MHz +- 50MHz. Strangely, the 40MHz band has moved to 512190 which is 2560MHz +- 20MHz. That means that 75% of the second carrier is overlapping with the first. I have no idea why they made this move.

I can confirm the same in Columbus. Seen with *#0011# on a s21 ultra factory unlocked.

Same here in Louisville also. They just adjusted the NR carriers maybe a week ago, 100MHz carrier now at NR-ARFCN 519390, and the 40MHz carrier at 511470. I wonder if this is why performance seems down since the change, only getting 100-200 down now vs 900+.

It is strange N25 still isn't available. It can be selected if you do the "hack" discussed previously of opening up all bands. I haven't tried forcing it to see if it works in any area being tested.

I did that process and it only opened n25 as NSA for me. The only SA bands I can pick are n41, n66, and n71. I've set mine to have only nsa n25 as the only enabled NR band but still didn't pick anything up here. Weird because after shutting down Sprint they should have 15x15 PCS just sitting there plus G-Block.

Interesting that T-Mobile is bragging about 3x CA coming to the S22 first in the coming weeks. The next update must enable it.

Hopefully the November update since we still don't have it.
