  1. Here's one in downtown Louisville, KY:

I wonder if this is an inbuilding solution for sprint? It appears to be right on top of the KFC Yum Center. There are two other towers within about a 1/4 mile of this one. I noticed that I had better signal inside, about 4 bars or so, but data is still useless. During halftime I can't even open google.com. Last year I had either no signal or roaming inside the arena. Louisville's next game is Saturday, I'll look around a bit and see if i see anything.

  2. That Network Vision tower in Middletown is less than 3 miles from me. It's right across from a massive Wal-Mart. I'll grab some pictures of it when I go grocery shopping today and post it up later to see what you all can figure out. So it looks to be a new tower to Sprint customers but old to Att and T-mobile?

I have been to the site a couple of times already. I think that the NV equipment is on the very top. I found it hard to get good pictures because the time of day I went there were lots of cars and not many places to pull of that little road. I have pictures of far off, and right under it. Hope you have better luck. My pictures are posted in the interactive maps section under the thread for Nashville, West/East Kentucky.

  3. I'm a college student about a year away from graduating with a Computer Information Systems degree. So all this watching and tracking NV progress has gotten me curious lately. What types of jobs are there related to cell service? In all likelihood this will not be the career path I take, but for curiosities sake I figured I'd look into it. I think being a part of building and maintaining cell infrastructure would be an interesting career. Not just for Sprint and NV, but the industry in general. I'd imagine most of the techs probably have engineering degrees. Anyone able to offer any insight?

  4. A friend of mine who has an EVO LTE swore that he was connected to 4G LTE in Louisville, KY - I wen't back to where he said it was when it connected and couldn't find a signal on my GS3.

Which part of Louisville exactly? I've been on the lookout lately for any signs of progress, but havent seen any yet. I don't go out of my way, but I have examined a few towers and haven't seen anything yet. I live in Bullitt County, work in J-Town, and attend University of Louisville. I certainly hope your right. On certain days if the weather is right I can get a poor WiMax connection on the north end of campus. Other than that I have never experienced 4g.
