Ok folks,when I go into the dialer settings and click edit,enter my MSL and click advanced,at the very bottom there is a box for LTE Status and its unchecked and says off. Now I know nothing about these settings,but there is work going on at the tower by my house.Shouldnt this setting be on if I even want to try to connect to LTE?

Yea,Im in the same boat.Ill report on the ones I drive past every day if i see anything,but I can see driving thirty minutes out of my way to look at nothing.

Unfortunatly is only been workers on a single tower,and Ive been by more than 15 of them.

The Westwego tower is definitely approaching that 3 week mark.

Been running JB for almost 2 week Its nice.

Ok,Ive hit practically every tower on the Westbank,with the exception of Belle Chasse and the one by Kabel Dr. Nothing to report.Anywhere.Didnt even bother to take pics,didnt go out towards Avondale either tho.May go to Boutte tomorrow to pick up some fish so I may look at whatevers on the way. I guess im lucky.The only real known activity going on in the entire New Orleans market is happening so close I can actually watch from my front porch.

I would assume that the whole westwego thing is part of the bigger picture in New Orleans.Its better news for New Orleans than Baton Rouge.Remember,were supposed to get NV in like May,so work is just starting.

Gonna go hunting later this afternoon or tomorrow. Been difficult with it getting dark so early.I dont get off until 630ish and its only about to get worse with time change coming up. Ill report if I see anything interesting,but I dont expect to see much.Manhattan Blvd still has no progress as I see that tower every day.

I logged onto this thread expecting to see pictures of the insides of an NV antenna after the last set posted. /disappointing.

As far as no room on your tower,they could put the NV gear in the middle of that T bracket rig,if sprint is indeed on the bottom rack.

Yea,I havent been able to go hunting.Works been kicking my butt along with a cold.About the only thing to report is that tower by my house,the trailer that they crew had that was gone for a few days was back and left locked up on site over the weekend.Now that the panels are up,theres not a whole lot to look for there.Nothing at the Manhattan site yet either.Getting eHRPD at work,im between the fairfield and manhattan sites, but still getting EVDO RevA at the house with the new gear.Ran a speed test yesterday about 2PM at home by the new site and got 2093kbps down and 170kbps with a ping of 153ms.By far the fastest 3g ive ever seen on the westbank,so it looks like the backhaul is in place at the westwego site. Ill try to go hunting in the next few days,even though I dont think theres much to see.

Hopefully "New Sprint" doesn't go the way of "New Coke". Dont have any idea why,but Im very apprehensive about this whole thing.

Since whats been installed?The westwego site? If so,that stuff just started going up Tuesday.

After looking through their phones,I see why they need the handset buying power of sprint.Good god some of those phones are 4 years old.

Alrighty.Recon done over the last week.Here we go!!! Confirmed visually and I spoke to the crew who also confirmed they were installing the NV equipment. This tower is located on Ave A in Westwego,off the expressway. The pics above show the NV gear on the top rack. The next pics I suppose are all "before" pictures since it appears nothing has been done LOL 2 Fairfield in Gretna Panels on top of Paychex building by Oakwood Mall Tower on Lapalco Blvd,between Helen Cox High and Manhattan Blvd Tower located on Ames at Lapalco by the old Kmart.This location has what looks like a brand new cabinet,but its massive and doesnt look like any NV gear Ive seen. Tower behind old Circuit City on Manhattan Blvd Tower on Commerce towards Bellemeade North between Belle Chasse Hwy and Lapalco So there are a few of the sites Ive had a chance to go by over the last two days.I have a list of about 9 more to hit in the coming days.Hope you all enjoy the pics,even though most of them show nothing going on LOL.

So,is my westwego site the only verified started work in the area? It is as far as Ive seen on the Westbank at least.

If this has any impact on the NV roll out then I want out of my contract.Ive been waiting for 4g for to damn long.
