  1. I have confirmed 2 members of the site I moderate have been able to buy them from their local Walmart. Unfortunately for me my local Walmart doesn't sell Sprint. :(

On a related note, while having the screen replaced on my 3D yesterday one of the store reps told me they were told to expect them in store by the end of the week. As always take anything from a store rep with a heaping serving of salt. They are less informed than us 90% of the time.

  2. The activation fee is only for brand new phones being activated on the network. You could switch 3 times a day or more to previously activated phones and not be charged.

Correct, I do it all all the time testing ROMs on my phones.

  3. It seems like an OK review, but I have a problem with writing a full review of a phone when they have had it for less than 24 hours. I put a lot more stock in reviews from people that actually use the phone for an extended period of time. I am looking forward to better reviews in the next week or so.

  4.

Never heard it explained that way. That makes a lot of sense.

Now that's not to say that Google won't eventually create it's own camera software to compete with the OEMs. I am not sure if Motorola has any patents in that area that could be of use.

  5. The Nexus will not ever have a "great" camera. Its pretty simple. All of the camera software for the Nexus phones has to be open source. Samsung/HTC/Motorola/ are not going to open source their proprietary camera software by including it in AOSP.

  6. These 2 sites are right across the street from me. I am guessing from looking at Sprint maps that the tower is my cell site, but while I was checking it out I noticed the equipment on top of the co-op right next to the tower. Could any of the more knowledgeable members clarify this for me based on the picture. After I get confirmation of which site is actually Sprint's I am going to get some before and after pictures for Network Vision. I am in round 2 and the Sprint network sites claims data speed upgrades in the next 6 months. 425758fa-8592-5d26.jpg

  7. Very funny guys! For a site that dangles all the benefits of a sponsor, they sure don't make it easy to figure out what you have to do to become one. Not even a FAQ? I'm happy to support the site, I just want to make sure I can get access to those NV maps.

Here is some more information regarding being a sponsor http://s4gru.com/index.php?/page/index.html/_/announcements/s4gru-member-ranks-and-groups-r20
