  1. Neither of these. Audio issues. Cutting out and terrible audio quality are the two biggest things. People have a great signal and good data performance and they're still having these issues. I don't think I've seen anyone complain about dropped calls yet. Coverage is not the main issue. It may be a small contributing factor, but definitely not the main issue.

luckily, my plan members and i are not those people having issues. (with our newly updated phones for Volte & phones that have volte from before)

calls are connected faster than 1xa, and have same quality as 1xa. no cut outs or cut ins.

just.. lte doesnt go in far as 1x for basement floors.

well, i am in nyc lol

oh you are on regular carrier U firmware, thats why.
i think xfinity branded phones got it already.
i dont know if sprint or other carriers pushed it yet

  3. With this update are they seeing any other CA combos like this S10 currently has enabled?

  4. How does the current plans compare with the old and legacy plans? And this goes for 2 and 4 lines

I had tmobile maybe about 10-15 years ago but i didnt really pay attention to their plans since.

Is it worth $140 for 2 lines on the magenta plus? Dont really care about the extras such as hotspot, netflix, free stuff, etc.

But i do care about HD streaming quality and deprioritization

Im particularly asking people who have or had the older plans in tmobile. Or anyone who knows about the old plans

Im in the amc theatres and looking out the window. This is the closest i can get. But its definitely on columbus ave

  6. New update out. December security patch. Still no Pie or VoLTE unfortunately.7aaac826d9d21a73d98af769c97407bc.jpg

You could flash the n960u1 firmware with odin and do the pie beta. Thats what i did and im on pie beta. But you could just wait for pie since itll be releasing soon. Most of the bugs are sorted out and the pie beta seems stable.

  7. There's actually 2 firmwares in the unit...the top number starting with 15.x is the UE relay firmware that downloads from the network when the box connects to the tower...the bottom number starting with 60.x is the firmware on the box itself for the UI, networking wifi and Linux OS....let's report both when sharing [emoji4]
Ahh i see. Well my phone can do 2ca but the box only does one carrier

    15.16.00.533
    The bottom firmware is 60.9.83.0

  8. What firmware version are MB3 users seeing? We had issues with our MB3 and had to get the IBS Dept involved to push a fix to the tower and new firmware to the unit...0.5mbps before and now 100+...
    I have 15.16.00.533

Do you have 2 ca? I only can get only one b41 carrier when the tower it relays from does 2 ca

Maybe they were working in your area. What band do you usually see in this exact location?
It's unfortunate that it wasn't TMobile since at least it doesn't count against your roaming limits.

    i see b25,b26, clearview b41.
    yea, it was random.
i accidently put my coordinates hehe. stupid uncautious me
could you guys delete my picture from your replies?
atleast, this is not my place ;)

  10. thanks, nice to know~
dang..oh wells. hopefully, nyc will get more leases for spectrum in some areas. anything above 20mbps is fine with me since i use a good amount of data. i dont expect too much of Sprint because it always been good to me.
i, definitely, feel that the note 9 is a beast (in network usage) which is the same as the s9/s9+.
i do want to try out the new iphone Xs max for sprint.

as for the note 7, i opened up my note 7 and took out the note 7 battery and threw it out asap. i bought a used but fairly new Note FE battery (from the sm-n935s) and put it inside the note 7.
i lived comfortably without worrying about my phone. hehe
i bought a new phone because Sprint is gonna turn on volte soon, and note 7 will not get software updates anymore.

  11. Yeah this is not uncommon in NYC. You can even get over 300mbs during off peak times with the right signal strength.
maybe i havent been to many places.
    i barely go to queens.
im usually in some parts of the bronx and i didnt see any 3ca yet.
i only stay by uppereastside and midtown in the city. i only saw 2ca so far.
also, i just got a new phone that can do alot (note 9). before that, i was using my note 7 for about 2 years.

  12. for people who got the unlocked note 9, do you guys have the other CA options other than the 3 main ones (ca 41c, ca 41D, ca 25a - ca 25a. in the data programming menu)? also did you guys ever seen 3ca yet?

This could be some type of small cell, the SNR is extremely clean. Where may I ask are getting this? and what type of speeds? BTW, it would be nice to see the GCI as well from Signal Check pro to confirm.

ill post the screenshot of signalcheckpro later. I cant go into s4gru on tapatalk pro for some reason.

This is on Mott St. between Canal St. and Hester St. I am getting  about 70mbps on DL, and about 4 mbps on UL with -96dbm

I believe John said a while back that if the merger goes through that they’ll create “attractive” plans but they won’t force anyone off their current plan if they like it. Hopefully that applies to business accounts as well.

When going through a merger, all existing contracts from the merging companies must be honored by the newly formed company until they expire.  If there is an evergreen clause, which means the contract terms stay in effect until both parties agree to alter them, that must also be honored by the newly formed company.

i did start a new 2 year contract on one of my lines when ordering the note 9, and couple of my lines are still under contract. I do not think there will be ever a better plan for me since i still have the ED1500 with contract pricing.

I just hope they honor my contract and let me keep my plan forever hehe.

Thanks for both of the replies

Are you sure your engineering screen isn't just glitching out? Because the modulation portion of it is showing two download carriers but the download channel portion is only showing a single carrier.

i think the engineering is glitching the modulation part but in my *#0011# screen, it says b41 15mhz.  CA - notconfig 0 0
