  1. I also preordered the note 7 despite the fact that i hate snapdragon processors. I was disapointed when it was snapdragon because they couldve put in the exynos with qualcomm modem like the note 5. Also I needed a new phone, the note 4 doesnt cut it anymore since its 2 years ago tech. I love how the note 7 design is sexy like the s7 and its water and dust resistant; this is one of my main reasons to buy note 7.

Im going to use it for one year and give it to my other lines and get a new one next year. I love having multiple lines so i can get new phone every year hehe

  2. Yeah snapdragon, I wasn't impressed I quite like the exynos CPU. And yeah that's a good thing, even though I am back where I started. Hopefully whatever network woes there are will be fixed shortly.

Its aiite tho, stuff happens. I hope the network gets fixed for you too ????????????

  3. Well I talked to my lady and I am returning the S7 and keeping my Note 5, all things are being reverted. I am glad this lady is so understanding of the situation, back to mashing sprint zone reports. And I swear my Note 5 is faster than the S7, there is a bit of lag on the S7 and none on my 5. :D

Telling you note 5 is a great phone lol. The s7 is probably a snapdragon phone..trash. atleast you found the issue other than the phone ????????

  4. Crazy thing is though it's not just a Sprint problem, my friends on Verizon are experiencing the same problem and normally Verizon has LTE everywhere, butt since marshmallow they see 3G in places they have never seen it before. Tonight my friend was over my house and tried to play some music and low and behold his phone was on 1x not even 3G, and as I said he's on Verizon, my house is never that way for him. It's definitely not a isolated issue, it's a hardware problem with the Note 5, which is crazy because I haven't heard of issues with the S6 which shares the same chip set. Minus the extra GB of RAM.

Yeah i know what you mean. But it could be either the baseband/software problem or the hardware. Im just saying its not statistically significant and its some of the phones that were manufactured that have the problems but Not all phones. It mostly likely be hardware problems. The reason could be because when using exynos chips, the modem is separate from the cpu by using qualcomm modem because its usually SoC. That is because Verizon and Sprint uses CDMA techinology and qualcomm is mostly responsible for providing the modem for it. I hope the people that have the problems get it fixed somehow either by replacement or something. I hope the best for yall

  5. I think its a handful of users experiencing problems. def not all users. It can be multiple reasons for their problems. I know for sure my brother with note 5 is not experiencing any. He loves it. He would never trade his phone for my note 4 also haha. I hope you guys figure out the problems tho :)

  6. So i just unplugged my phone and started playing candy crush (yes i said it) and within a minute i went from 100%to 95% wtf

Its the app. Not the phone. Candy crush uses alot of resources. And any game uses up alot of cpu and gpu usage anyway. If you had custom kernel you can change few settings to use resources efficiently. For ex. Undervolting the cpu frequencies.. exynos cpu is much more efficient than snapdragon. So be happy :)

  7. As far as I know, they are just Sprint's doing. I do wish that Apple would open up the network customizability/information more and would fix field test, especially for iPhone 6S/+

I see. I guess they didnt restrict people from downgrading back . Honestly i doubt its the android software

My brothers note5 is perfectly fine with his lte signal and he has a Custom Rom with his basband on the latest. PE something.. i forget. He has sprint b41 or clearwires b41 most or almost all the time. And b25 here and there.

I hope your issues get resolvedd

  9. So they want me to go into a service store so they can look at the phone, this should be interesting. I told them im not spending a dime out of pocket and if it has to go out to service im not going to be without a phone. Time to play hardball.

You cant go back to lollipop from marshmallow because the bootloader/firmware is different and the bootloader wont let you.

How did you reinstall lollipop or marshmallow?

You can only reinstall to the current firmware you have

  10. Does this phone not have the Sprint Wireless Connection Optimizer? Is there anything 3rd party that will connect to and automatically acknowledge T&Cs of a hotpot like at a grocery store without user intervention?

It doesnt. You dont want the connection optimizer because it uses battery when it is not needed since it is constantly running.

When i had it in the older galaxy phones, i would disable it

  11. On my graduation day not too long ago..Ive been to the top of MSG where they sell food and stuff and i was holding onto sprints b41 really good on my note 4 then i reset the connection and it went to b26 in which it was almost perfect signal of -72. Then i went down to the corridors right by the Theater and i was downloading something, it was going about 12Mbits/s (1.5 MB/s) constant on b26

There were alot of people at the graduation and i was able to get that speed. I was happy :)

  12. After the initial Marshmallow update, I did a factory reset. I just don't want to pay to get a replacement. I may break down and do it at some point though.

I can help you do a full restore but its with a computer.

Not the factory reset from the phone

  13. Just finished installing it. Hopefully it'll fix my restart issue. It's not been terrible. Usually once or twice a day, but it's still annoying when it happens.

Thats pretty extreme... im telling you you should do factory restore..and if it still persists. Its hardware issue

  15. That is with credit Union discount, also includes taxes and insurance on all the lines. The only way out of lease is pay them off.

Sent from my SHIELD Tablet K1 using Tapatalk

You are better off doing subsidy than leases because you are paying extra tax on top off the monthly payments. Also for my ed1500 plan i only put insurance for one line because after having insurance for all lines i dont use it at all for all the lines. So i just keep it on one line just in case and use it when i really need to

Leasing is only for people who wants to get a new phone without paying too much up front and upgrade every year

In my opinion. Its not worth it but to others it may be

  16. I did like having svlte on my old note 2. But as i got newer phones my phone calls are definitely much more crisp and i would actually have that more than svlte.

I dont know much about volte and codecs but which network have the best codecs for voice in terms of voice quality and clarity because i know for sure sprint's 1xadvanced hd voice is pretty nice

  17. Ive posted on a different thread but i didnt get any replies :(

But can someone help me out with this question

Ive switched the liability of the account from personal to enterprise/business while ago. I still have the legacy ED 1500 plan for 3 of my lines. I was wondering is it possible to add another line of the same plan to the account

I remember someone posted that they added a new line with the same legacy plan..or maybe ive read it wrong

  18. Does anyone know how to get rid of the annoying Flipboard briefing, and/or disable it period? I can't find the app, unless it's built in somewhere. The only option I have is turning briefing off, but even when it's still off, I still get alerts on top if my screen. This is all I'm working with.

You should clear the data for the app in settings> application manager

Then diasble. I dont think you can uninstall since its a system app

Unless you are rooted, there are ways to uninstall it...

Clearing data, force close, then disable should do the trick

  19. Sometimes factory reset on the phone dont work as well because it uses the same system files and formats the data partition. So it is always good to have the files on the computer to reinstall the factory system.

Sometimes it could be a hardware problem but its best to reinstall the software first rather than factory reset on the phone and assume its hardware.

Also getting replacements from insurance gives refurbished phones which sometimes have problems in their hardware already lol
