  1. They are only letting 25,000 people per day (for the first 4 days), get the update so... if you get "no update" that means they have meet their threshhold.
  2. I wonder if the HTC scense is causeing the problem with 4G. I know sometimes I will turn on airplane mode and it take about 1 minute before it will shut off 3G. When I see this it tells me something is going on behind the scenes. So I wonder if by chance the phone has an internal data connection or something.
  3. Here are my old and new speeds. OLD Down .19 Mbps Up .03 Ping 522ms NEW Down .59Mbps Up .68 Ping 132 ms
  4. Ok today almost all 3G was out for an hour or so. It was on and off and had a -98db when it was connected. Once it stopped fliggering on and off I then got connected to eHRPD just about everywhere I went today. Seemed like I had more 1X bars also. I ran a test for speed and it was about 3x faster download and about 2x upload speed.
  5. If my thoughts matter the panels could be installed and just waiting for backhauls. If you flip the switch with out backhaul then maybe would kill off others that do not have 4G.
  6. Without eHRPD, you're phone can't handle 4G <-> 3G network hand-offs. Installing eHRPD in a region is a pre-cursor to LTE deployment. As others have pointed out, that simply means "progress". It doesn't necessarily mean you'll have it next week, but definitely means you'll get it at some point. This was posted on a forum for another carrier...
  7. This could mean they have LTE towers up and installed but with lack of a backhaul to handle the data they will keep it switched off. Speeds are nice in the early hpurs of the day lunch time is horable.
  8. Ir was at 9:15 to 9:30 I was outside there are some open wific's out there
  9. Ok sorry I posted from my phone so i did not have the best way to type it all in so here is what I did. I had Data connection and connected to Langly AFB data server once I moved outside of the range of that server my data connection dropped. It did the connected disconnected cycle. I restarted the phone thinking something messed it up. I still had no data connection i tried to do a PRL update and it failed I cycled airplane mode with and without Wifi on. Odd I was able to turn on Wifi with airplane mode on. After that I went in and turned cdma only on and it connected I then turned back on cdma and lte and poof no data connection. with CDMA on i checked the server and I was connected to the one near the Hampton Dump. Distance was under 1 mile.
  10. Odd thing happen today while in Derby Run in Yorktown. It is a stones throw from the tower near the dump and my data connection dropped. I had to change it to CDMA only to connect. I would get the connected disconnected msg with CDMA & LTE selected in the settings. verry strange...
  11. Well this would make since to me if the towers along I64 have a great backhaul (have not ran speed tests on them yet,) and enough bandwidth to support LTE there first. If you have a bottle neck in the backhaul the worst thing you can do is to upgrade speeds. I am not sure as to what they will use for the backhaul elsewhere but am sure those details matter little to the enduser.
  12. When I got my new phone I just used the phone to activate it. WiMax phones might still get SMS on the old phone here and there but I think that might be small percentage of folks.
  13. Hey, I know you have to have consecutive block access to obtain a 20X20 LTE but could does it have to be like Block A and block D. Here is the info I have ATM. Block A: 1850 - 1865 and 1930 - 1945 (30 MHz) - issued by MTAs Block B: 1870 - 1885 and 1950 - 1965 (30 MHz) - issued by MTAs Block C: 1895 - 1910 and 1975 - 1990 (30 MHz, 15 MHz or 10 MHz) - issued by BTAs Block D: 1865 - 1870 and 1945 - 1950 (10 MHz) - issued by BTAs Block E: 1885 - 1890 and 1965 - 1970 (10 MHz) - issued by BTAs Block F: 1890 - 1895 and 1970 - 1975 (10 MHz) - issued by BTAs Block G: 1910 - 1915 and 1990 - 1995 (10 MHz) - issued by EAs Block A and Block D would be 1845-1870 and 1930- 1950 or would you need consecutive letters like D,E,F and G. I know you need 40 Mhz total spectrum so you would need a 30 and a 10; or 4 10's.
  14. I hear you there. There is a wimax tower at or near Warwick and Mercury I have and old Evo also. I have been all around the penn. (I have a son who needs drive time ) and have not found on lte or newer evod rev a site yet. The speed on my Evo LTE is slower than my oldschool Evo.
  15. Ok trying to figure out what tower. There is 3 that it could be. J.Clyde and Harpersvill or 64 and Hampton center lastly 64 and Mercury.
  16. Sprint will never drop unlimited data in fact they have made others make an unlimited plan. I am under the impression that sprint was the first to offer unlimited data plans. It would be extremely hard to legitimatly hog up bandwidth with just a phone.
  17. Ok. First please remember there are always people out there that will abuse anything they can. Sprintc's unlimited data planes are for phonec's use only. They have data planes for computers and they have limited data useage. When there is no regulations abuse happens. People seek after their own wants. Some people look at their phone and say hey if I can do it and get away with it I will. Some people might use their phones when they are away from home and might not put a drain on the system. I think it is better to enforce a restriction on abuse giving everyone a better experance. If you do not crack down on abusers then people will leave sprint due to a lack of servise.
