  1. Sucks but it had to be done, agreed to get an Epic 4g Touch instead of my 5h Nexus. My upgrade is in early 2013 so I may get something with LTE by then. I tried for the victory but it wasn't listed in the corporate exchange system. Only options were the Viper, Epic 4g touch, Evo design and samsung transform.
  2. ah okay, and I cant really say the phone is showing I'm connected to EVDO Rev A but the speeds are no where near other phones on evdo rev A
  3. Gvoice isnt available in Puerto Rico. it doesnt send calls to voice mail. I meant to say that in order to make my phone fetch my text messages from the network that I have to make any sort of phone call. and for that I use my voice mail. After hanging up the phone call, all the messages that were sent to me are actually received by the phone.
  4. The problem is still present with my 4th Galaxy Nexus. I don't know what else to do. I'm going to end up buying something else up front. It kills me not to be able to do basic things like send text messages or receive them on time. I need to make a phone call from the nexus in order to get the system to refresh and deliver my text messages. In order to do this I call my voice mail and during the call the messages(if any) start to arrive. All of these problems are with the Galaxy nexus only. My other phones on the account work fine. Right now in order to stay ahead with my daily communications, I'm using a $25 AT&T go phone I bought at walgreens to text people.
  5. I'm hating the Galaxy Nexus more and more every day... theres a guy who takes 4 classes with me and he has a sprint GSIII. hes been getting 0.7mb + all day while my nexus gets 0.1-0.2mb right next to it. I've had it swapped 4 times now so its either a major bug with the phone or sprints network with the gnex. All sprint is willing to do is swap it for a crappy LG Viper. I may use an upgrade on one of my other lines and get myself a GSIII. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  6. That is so true. On weekends, there isn't a single car at Mayaguez Terrace. I hope Mayaguez gets done soon! This was from the university but connected to the mayaguez terrace site. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  7. Sweet, I'll pop by tomorrow for lunch and check out the speeds. Right now my home speeds are a disaster (Holiday Inn area)
  8. EvDO Rev A according to Settings > About Phone > Status Its in the mayaguez area near the Holiday Inn and Western Plaza
  9. Then switch. Thats what the 14 day trial is for. We can't do anything about it until the new network rolls out. Thats the whole purpose of this forum. You can jump ship to AT&T if an iPhone is what you want. But its going to cost you more and it will come with overage fees. You can also buy it from Open-Mobile(If they get it) or Claro which will also have it soon. If you like android phones then T-Mobile would be ideal for you too. I know you may seem frustrated about sprints network but it is what it is and you get what you pay for these days. Also, Sprint is taking a step in the right direction by publicly releasing information regarding network progress in Puerto Rico. My personal advice for you is to wait. When sprint rolls out unlimited 4g LTE, everyone will want to go to sprint.
  10. http://jalopnik.com/5944568/is-a-15+year-old-texan-girl-driving-this-ultra-rare-lamborghini-to-high-school Not only is it an expensive exotic, its a very rare version of the car. I wish I had something this cool back in school
  11. The answer is yes, the panels are up and running on most sites. All sprint needs to do is finish the backhaul and connect them in order to start testing. http://s4gru.com/ind...dpost__p__44196
  12. Not even those who attended the keynote heard about these features. (Fox is actually showing a very very very old concept video done by a random person)
  13. It actually allowed me to add it on my Gnex(have the promo $10 google gave for free) but I only got the google prepaid card, havent tried a personal one Just don't know what kind of places accept NFC google wallet
  14. Oh and the network seems snappier in Mayaguez today (inside the university of Puerto Rico) went from under the usual 100kbps to 400~500 Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  15. Thanks for the tip! I'll call back after I get home from class today Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  16. Hope it has better radios than the galaxy nexus.
  17. sprint wont ship it to PuertoRico and the stores here dont have them. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  18. I hope so, coverage in my house sucks. I get 1 bar and thats only good for a ton of dropped calls. Could NV actually increase the signal of a tower? I'm hoping so, the only way for me to make a call is to step out of the house.
  19. For you Gs3 owners http://cnettv.cnet.com/8301-33814_53-57468819-10391737.html
  20. Man I miss Verizon here. They had the best coverage throughout the island, now we have stupid claro which practically ruined their network switching from cdma to gsm.
  21. The insurance from sprint covers defects with the phone and they will try to fix it for free(if its a defect and if they have the tools and parts at the store, if not they will order you a refurb phone). The insurance part will run the deductible but thats if the phone gets accident damage or stolen (like a cracked screen). The battery of my OG evo started to crap out after a year and a half of owning the phone, took it to sprint (with insurance) they tested it and they ordered me a new battery. Trust me, I've dealt with a ton of these issues with several phones on my account after the warranty (1year) ran out. Infact, some stores (like the roosevelt) wanted $35 to swap one of my og evos that was still under the OEM warranty (phones LCD would turn on and off randomly and I had no insurance). I took it to another store where they made me jump through hoops about the warranty until I got it replaced(without paying those $35). After it was all said and done I added insurance to all of my phones to avoid the hassles.
