  1. Its awesome because theres a sprint store there Now people can test LTE there before buying a phone.
  2. Hey guys, lately I've had to study and be out on the road weekdays from 5am to 7pm. By 3pm my phones battery would be at 15%. I thought about buying a spare battery for my phone and switching on the fly but I thought it would be a hassle to charge two things at once. I bit the bullet and bought the mophie juice pack in matte black for my phone. Its great, protects the phone and most importantly it has a 2200mah battery to keep me charged. The only con for me was the price $99.99. But knowing I can be out all day without carrying batteries or cables is great. Ill post pictures of it when I get home tonight Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  3. Guys remember that Sprint hasnt announce live LTE there yet. Most likely they were testing the site and turned it on for a moment. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  4. Yup sometimes. I've kept an eye on sprints site as our markets been upgraded. NV 3g showed up first on most of the sites here. Sprint needs to finish the last metro towers and theyll be set. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  5. Go to network.sprint.com type in your zip code and if you see 2 data speed upgrades on that tower then it has LTE. 1Data upgrade = NV 3g in most cases. Mayaguez was just launched so it should be broadcasting LTE by now. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  6. I will check it out once I get out of class. Inside the university theres no LTE except for nv 3g. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  7. Fianlly! eHRPD from the rio hondo site along with nV 3g. Now they need to turn on the LTE. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  8. Didnt come from the Rio Hondo site probly. Some other site nearby is bringing a low LTE signal to the place. Checked a few times and no EHRPD or NID 200 from the site.
  9. The Rio Hondo site was running on 1x yesterday. Hoping its a sign of LTE soon. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  10. The Rio Hondo site was running on 1x yesterday. Hoping its a sign of LTE soon. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  11. Right there near Museo del Nino I saw a sign at Villa Esperanza (home for the elderly) with sprint building permits so LTE may be coming from there.
  12. When you call cs tell them you want the 2.5 because calls get dropped when you leave your home and the 2.5 version of it doesnt do that. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  13. It says 4g because its LTE. The fact that those 3 letters aren't there doesnt mean it isnt true LTE... Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  14. Then it should be able to make handoffs to the network. Give sprint sometime to figure out their network issues. Also I believe no airave model can transfer calls you initiated on their network to your airave.
  15. http://shop.sprint.com/mysprint/shop/phone_details.jsp?prodId=dvc6480002prd&deviceSKUId=64800068&initialLoad=true&flow=AAL&ptn=#galleryDemosSection This one osva. Its the latest model I don't know how to difference their names sorry I know this is the 2.5
  16. The new one started making handoffs recently according to my sister. we have crappy coverage and it has a hard time communicating with the tower and sometimes fails the hand off. The signal your airave grabs is mostly for location purposes. It has a GPS so sprint knows you are using it with their network. The airave won't operate without locking in a GPS signal. Data is handled through your own ISP. Also the OLD airaves didnt have the handoff feature. The new airave doesnt need a setup, its automatically detected by your phones. The first airave devices didnt even support data when they were released.
  17. It not just the coverage, its the airave itself. It has a few quirks like my phone not connecting to it and having to turn it on and off. I only experienced the handoff once since I was making a call and it worked somehow. Do you have the 2.5?
  18. It doesnt matter. The Airave transmits data equivalent to the internet speed it is connected to. If your ISP at home is 3mbps your airave wont transmit more than that. And I think the 2.5 is this one. http://shop.sprint.com/mysprint/shop/phone_details.jsp?prodId=dvc6480002prd&deviceSKUId=64800068&initialLoad=true&flow=AAL&ptn=#galleryDemosSection My sister has one at Mayaguez and I have initiated calls using it and they were handed off to the sprint network as I drove away.
  19. Its a text message that they sent out recently. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  20. Signal building penetration hasn't improved that much for me to notice yet. The main things are that calls are not dropping as you drive. I easily held a call for 40minutes the other day while driving through areas where I used to get them dropped. Also data has been great since I stream pandora and spotify while driving and notice less buffering and stuterring. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  21. Yes, overall pretty much everywhere except the metro area where work is currently in progress. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  22. The prizes make me curious. Wonder if they are going to give away accesories or cases. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  23. I think it will as well. We are one of the smallest markets for sprint which means less equipment and install times compared to other markets. I'm really amazed on how far sprint has come since this thread was started. Time will tell
