Well, like Dkoellerwx said, I think it is encouraging to see that an LTE accepted site popped up in Northern Wisconsin. I'm sure Sprint is well aware of their data capacity issues. I bet the little cash bump from Softbank will give them the ability to speed up the process a little bit and maybe have more crews working at the same time. It's been a long wait for Milwaukee, but it'll be coming soon! And it will be worth it. I was like a little kid in a candy store when I went down to Chicago for a weekend recently and got to experience the LTE down there.

I was up in Tomah this weekend, and they have LTE, which was blazing! It was really hard to come back to buffering....buffering...buffering....buffering when I was listening to Pandora.

I can't explain the delay, but from something that Robert posted a while ago, it sounds like the Milwaukee and north Wisconsin markets would see upgrades at the same time, just lie the Michigan markets. This week north Wisconsin sites started going live, so I'm guessing out won't be long before the Milwaukee markets starts to see sites go live with LTE.

Wow! I guess I will have to keep spamming/twitting @sprintcares about the horrible internet speeds in Madison. This morning, it's fine, but in 2 hours, I might be lucky enough to get 112 down and 20 up. I guess more screen shots is due.

Thanks for the update, but man, it's hard to see areas around the Milwaukee Market (La Crosse), Chicago, and Northern Wisconsin getting LTE, and we are stuck sucking buttermilk. I saw that Sprint announced that LTE was up and running in Fargo...Lucky them....

Yeah, you're telling me, brother. We've got all kinds of "speed upgrades" and "capacity upgrades" in Madison, but I haven't had an inkling of LTE signal at all....not that I'm expecting to be able to access it, but seriously man. I live directly across the street from one of their biggest towers in the area so I'd assume it would be first-ish on the list. You know, the only place to catch WiMax in Madison (which is/was never launched here) was a fleeting amount of signal on a dinky tower over near West Towne Mall, near Woodman's. So who knows, maybe that'll be the first tower.

 

The story I've gotten about Madison from a Sprint guy in KC that I trust was that this whole network was 3rd partied for Sprint for many years and then recently (like 5 years ago) they bought back all the towers and started running it again. They know it is under powered for the population and they are working on it. I'm really, really, really holding out here with Sprint. Have 5 lines invested in them in multiple cities. Really hope they do something here soon. I've been patient.

This is so insane! I work on the west side, and when I have my OG Evo, I would go over to the west towne mall so I could get Wi-Max.....seriously, I don't want to go visit my Wausau to get LTE

The tower that is on the East side of the interstate just south of the 51 Truck stop. You can't miss the tower when you travel north to Merrill...

I wonder if anyone has seen any work being done in the Madison area. Seeing the talk about Milwaukee is getting me somewhat excited.

I wonder if there's been any work on the town just off of I-39 south of the 51 truck stop. I think that tower covers a good chuck of the interstate.....

Well, holy cow! I just did a speed check in Verona, and I am on Ehrpd! Hopefully this is a good sign!
