This confuses me. Report after report show that Sprint has either the 1st or 2nd in text time.
I don't use sms as I use imessage mostly however, the items i have used have worked well.
Yeah yeah, they must've not come to the DC market or didn't send a message over 160 characters because they wouldn't have won in that category. There have been too many times I've texted a family member on Sprint and they get it late. That was the reason I left and would come back if they did something like this.

With how terrible Sprint is with SMS (VZW too....CDMA in general) I'm surprised there aren't more of you who would want RCS implemented. That would take out the 160 character limit for one and I would imagine it would cut down on delays in receiving texts. Nothing would bug me more than receiving a long message, or one with an emoji in it causing the message to break up and come in out of order. I would welcome it and would be a reason for me to come back to Sprint.

1) Band 26 is to be the utter last resort for those that need it the most
2) If CA is to be had then B26 will be the PCC as B25 will be the first to lose connection. If a PCC connection is lost then the device has to do a rescan to acquire a new PCC thus Band 26 would be the priority and everyone would be on it which is not the point of B26.
3) 3GPP has not codified B25-26 CA.
4) There are no existing plans to aggregate B25-25 though it is supported 3GPP Rel 12.
They could do what AT&T does with CA. Most times I'm parked on B2 as the PCC and B17 is the SCC. Only have B26 used as additional downlink when it is needed and most traffic goes over B25

I have the same issue and the 1X value matches up the Tx powerDid you go into Diagnostic Mode and see where that -4 value was loading in? That might give you some clue what's going on.
Send that Diagnostic Report to mikejeep. He will see where it is reporting from and may be able to take care of that issue in a future release.

Has anybody with the s6 noticed how long it takes for the signal to update? Seems like it can be every thirty seconds and a lot can change in that time. It updates more rapidly in the engineering screen but what would cause something like signal check or LTE discovery to take so long between updates?

My AT&T LG G3 displayed and unknown neighbor cell recently. Only saw it once though

I've always had SMS issues with my sprint lines

I haven't purchased an HTC phone since that terrible evo 3d I bought. I'm really considering buying the m9 if it's a nice rf performer and good battery life. It'll be between the s6 and m9 as I probably won't buy another LG device

I bet a bunch of people will start complaining when they have a -115dbm signal and can't pull 8mbps. Not that would be a good idea as speeds vary greatly as a persons moves and as network conditions change.
-
I can't stand having a case on this phone. It's just too bulky. I know I should, but I just can't do it.
I hear ya. The one and only time I drop a phone (well, more of it was knocked out of my hands) it completely shatters. In 5 years, first time something like that happened. I have to send the broken one back, but with the screen not working, not sure how to wipe my data off of it. (Not rooted).
Same here, I hate cases but of course the one time i drop mine this happens.

under the hidden menu in my phone there are options for the primary cell to be band 2 and 4 with 17 as the secondary oneThe PCC would have to be band 17 so it doesn't sound like that's aggregation. I believe AT&T band 2 is capable of reaching 51Mbit/s without aggregating.
-
So I pulled my phone out today and noticed I was on band 2. I decided to run a speed test, started off mid 30s then jumped to 51mbps. My phone still read band 2. Att must be aggregating band 2 & 17. Also would signal check ever display both bands if I'm using an aggregated data session?

AT&T's network tends to be very consistent in many places, this is true. However, with band 2 here in NYC, the difference between speeds on Staten Island and Manhattan are really disgruntling if you're a commuter.
Yes, this is a factor that must be taken into consideration, but another is the fact that T-Mobile has access to wideband LTE; 15x15MHz, vs AT&T's 10x10MHz in almost the entire US. This gets especially worse in 5x5MHz only AT&T markets.
Of course, shouldn't they be adding band 4 and band 5 to the rest of the network though?
-
I can speak from personal experience that although those stats may be true, their network is very consistent where i am.

T-Mobile has definitely started it's 700mhz deployment in the DC area. Found a new long panel on a T-Mobile only site. Couldn't get pics as I was driving but I'm sure this is what I saw

have you ever used AT&Ts mark the spot app?As an AT&T customer, I know every square mile where this occurs on their network in my area. It's more prevalent than Sprint customers realize. And on VZW in B13 only areas.
-
Go run a speed test and send yourself a text message. You will see no interruption in data traffic as the phone stays on LTE and does not drop back to 1x
-
were you also affected by late text messages like me? It had been happening in my area for years but I thought NV would fix it yet I would still get messages between 5-15 minutes late at times.I was specifically referring to missing calls while connected to LTE despite having a strong signal and in a known solid 3G area.

Unfortunately this is still an issue for me in my area. No B26, only B25. B25 LTE doesn't propagate as well as 1x 1900 does, so I'm noticing i'm missing calls when my signal is below -112 to -114dBm (Signal isn't as good when the channel is wider ((1.5Mhz to 5Mhz)). Once B26 kicks in it will be better, but for now...I get voicemail notifications all the time. However, I am working with Sprint on the issues and they seem motivated to get it resolved.

I'm just lost as to why its happening when I have tuned b26 and 25 available at a good signal (-100dBm-95dBm). It was frustrating and I hope they figure it out.

I'm pretty sure I know when I text someone it shouldn't take 20 minutes for it to be received...but I know i don't completely* understand how it works
