  1. I think a better plan would be a 1 year freeze on all sponsorship expenditures and to spend all that money on CapEx.
  2. https://www.reddit.com/r/Sprint/comments/60hyw5/sprint_confirms_death_of_direct_2_you_phone/df7j46t/ Wow. Pretty sudden.
  3. It took Sprint nearly 2 years to realize this? The program launched in April 2015: http://www.theverge.com/2015/4/13/8383967/sprint-direct-2-you-home-setup
  4. This program seemed like a very expensive way to get a customer Add or Upgrade done. How did this ever make sense to do?
  5. Sprint confirms death of Direct 2 You phone delivery service: http://www.fiercewireless.com/wireless/sprint-confirms-death-direct-2-you-phone-delivery-service So much for that.... anyone here use it?
  6. Thanks for the link! Not sure why they're not following the prior protocol. Good progress!
  7. Shentel has its act together. Have a look at Pages 20-21 of the last Earnings Report from November 7, 2016. Network Enhancements – nTelos Footprint Network Statistics at 9/30/16 Seems to be going well! It'll be interesting to see how much more progress they report during the next Earnings Release. http://investor.shentel.com/events.cfm I am a bit surprised they haven't had their 4th Quarter Earnings Call yet... Am I missing something? Based on these past dates, the Fourth Quarter Call should have already happened... but it's not on the list. - Apr 29, 2016 10:00 AM ET First Quarter Earnings Call - Feb 26, 2016 10:00 AM ET Fourth Quarter Earnings Call
  8. http://www.rcrwireless.com/20170315/carriers/sprint-tech-exec-breaks-down-carriers-recent-lte-and-5g-moves-tag2 Great Video Interview with Günther:
  9. Good news for Android BYOD users: "My Sprint" App will be downloadable from Google Play: https://www.reddit.com/r/Sprint/comments/5zc3b2/sprint_zone_is_now_my_sprint/dexohje/ App Updates will handled through Google Play: https://www.reddit.com/r/Sprint/comments/5zc3b2/sprint_zone_is_now_my_sprint/dexqaix/
  10. Touch ID and Android Fingerprint Support is coming in a future App update according to "Craig-S" in the Reddit Thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/Sprint/comments/5zc3b2/sprint_zone_is_now_my_sprint/
  11. No Coverage Map either. Sprint had a link to a mobile coverage map in a prior version of Sprint Zone.
  12. There would be a problem with doing this.... Executives would wind up saying: "Spectrum has the most spectrum of all national carriers", etc. ;-)
  13. Changing the App name made good sense. The new design is well done too. The "report an issue" feature now has Google Maps integration. I'm hoping the website receives similar usability improvements. For example, the Coverage Map should be Google Maps based.
  14. http://www.fiercewireless.com/wireless/at-t-inks-mark-wahlberg-to-plug-entertainment-offerings "AT&T has hired Mark Wahlberg to plug its entertainment offerings in an exclusive deal reportedly worth more than $10 million." "Wahlberg and the carrier will begin production this week on an ad campaign slated to launch in April focusing on AT&T’s entertainment offerings across screens. And the ads apparently will tout AT&T’s zero-rated data model, which allows wireless customers who are also DirecTV subscribers to view content without incurring data charges." So if AT&T is getting Mark Wahlberg as a spokesman... maybe we'll get Lily! :-) http://i.imgur.com/6c6kxo3
  15. Yes I am aware. As far as I know, Marcelo still works in a cubicle and Sprint still has a wall of monitors that tracks customer metrics. Otherwise, the company is no longer in a death spirial.
  16. Indeed there is: https://www.bloomberg.com/features/2016-how-to-fix-sprint/ (January 26, 2016) "The mahogany castle now stands empty. Claure works in another building on a floor of low-slung cubicles and conference rooms named for U.S. cities. His desk faces a huge wall screen displaying Sprint’s customer gains and losses, updated every two hours." "The numbers in black (good) and red (bad) are vetted each day at a meeting attended by all top executives and run by Claure. “If you aren’t hitting your marks, you’re expected to come in with a plan to fix it,” says Kevin Crull, president of Sprint’s 15-state central area. “There’s patience for your plan as long as it’s measured in hours and days, not weeks and months.”"
  17. How is T-Mobile coming up with so much cash to support these deals? Surely the gravy train is bound to come to an end at some point, either from pricing that can no longer be supported or a network that can no longer support it.... right?
