  1. Less than an hour to go... "Synchronize your watches".... It says... Could be an Apple Watch promotion? Perhaps a discounted watch or watch bundle with iPhone Forever...
  2. Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure to Make Major Announcement at National Telephonic Press Conference on Nov. 18 Link: http://newsroom.sprint.com/news-releases/sprint-ceo-marcelo-claure-to-make-major-announcement-at-national-telephonic-press-conference-on-nov-18.htm?view_id=12582 11:15 AM CT
  3. "Our new LTE Plus network using LTE Advanced technology is a significant differentiator for Sprint and our customers. It’s also the foundation on which we will roll out more LTE Advanced capabilities such as 3/4/5-channel carrier aggregation, higher order MIMO and more advanced beamforming, seamless WiFi integration and more." 3/4/5-channel CA... Sprint is roaring back!
  4. Introducing the Sprint LTE Plus Network - Faster, Stronger, More Reliable Than Ever Before Link: http://newsroom.sprint.com/blogs/sprint-perspectives/introducing-the-sprint-lte-plus-network--faster-stronger-more-reliable-than-ever-before.htm Live in 77 Markets.... Wow.
  5. Apparently, Tracy Nolan has done a great job in Chicago as the market manager. Sprint has good relations with city officials including the mayor, and perhaps this can accelerate permitting etc. Sprint gave this model a trial run in Chicago with an experienced manager, and from what it sounds like based on what Marcelo said, they're very happy with the results.
  6. Updated Article: It's Philadelphia. The new One Sprint plan divides the nation into four areas and sets a president in 19 key markets. Northeast: Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C. South: Charlotte, N.C., Atlanta, Dallas, Oklahoma City, Miami Midwest: Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, Chicago, Minneapolis, Kansas City West: Denver, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle
  7. Verizon TravelPass: http://www.fiercewireless.com/press-releases/traveling-abroad-connecting-internationally-just-got-simpler
  8. The author screwed up the Atlanta city mention by having it in the list twice. DC was listed by name... The last one could be Philly...
  9. Marcelo Announces "One Sprint" initiative: New management structure; New organizational structure; New hires. http://www.kansascity.com/news/business/article44696076.html In a nutshell: - Replicate Chicago's management structure, which has been a success apparently, in 19 markets. - Divides the country into 4 regions, Puts a president in each of 19 key markets. - Expected to be implemented early next year after the Holiday shopping season. Northeast: Boston, New York, Washington, D.C. ... And one other city from what it looks like on that map (EDIT: It's Philadelphia) South: Charlotte, N.C., Atlanta, Dallas, Oklahoma City, Miami Midwest: Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, Chicago, Minneapolis, Kansas City West: Denver, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle Sounds good to me! Sprint has established a close working relationship with the Mayor and other local officials of Chicago and needs to do the same in other markets.
  10. Instead of turning the compression on as Sprint previously intended to do with that 600kbps video cap that drew the ire of users... and a portion of the Internet it seemed, T-Mobile is selling 480p video as a benefit.... In fact, it's automatically on by default unless you turn it off under your account settings... at which point your high speed data allotment is used. One interesting thing is for tablets and tethering. Apparently, the BingeOn usage doesn't count against your Tablet Data Plan or your Hotspot usage either...
  11. What might not let it happen?
  12. There aren't any devices that can take advantage of 3xCA yet. As I understand it, it's mainly for the LTE to be turned up on the capable Clear Gear and then 2xCA where it can be done. You make a good point with the financials. 90 days will hopefully let the parties resolve this. For all we know it's done before 90 days and we can all celebrate then. As for why MB/MC didn't take this to Court earlier... This was a deliberate strategy. They were geared up with a set of talking points to use at every stage, including for when Sprint threw the switch to put them in "digital darkness".... I admire them for how well they handled this and how well the messaging worked. They worked the system, and found a sympathetic judge who probably uses another carrier besides Sprint. Unlimited Data on Wi-Fi Hotspots without any kind of throttling for nearly nothing as I understand it? Yeah, that's a screw you to Sprint in my opinion. Sprint should just fund a charitable wireline buildout for each location with the local Cable/Telecom provider. Not sure why they haven't done this. Would it cost more than providing hundreds of GB's over WiMAX and now LTE?
  13. Yeah. This hurts. Oh well.... "It's the final countdown"... doo do doooooooo dooooo.... doo doo do do dooooo
  14. Wondering what wireless carrier the Judge uses...
  15. If the Court finds any evidence that Sprint is doing this, it will not go well for Sprint. What I can't understand is why these schools are on Wireless anyway. No one wants to do a Wireline buildout for them?
  16. I'll feel a little better once the Countdown Clock is reset for 90 days. Seeing it with mere hours left now is honestly depressing.
  17. Yes. Because the Court supposedly balanced the merits and sympathized with them over Sprint. Don't try to make sense of it. It doesn't.
