  1. I just hope Sprint was able to redirect resources/teams to move other initiatives along during this waiting period... Who knows... we may not have to wait the full 34 days if they can work something out. If it was I: I'd just send them all Karma Hotspots with the Unlimited Plan and be done with it already.
  2. Could be. Update iOS: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204204 Update your carrier settings: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201270
  3. Yup. I'm running the latest iOS and Carrier Settings on my 6s. Works really well. I'm sure part of it is due to Sprint's network improvements over the last year too. It was frustrating to see the 6 just sit there on 3G in an LTE area for extended periods of time. That doesn't happen anymore with the 6s.
  4. The modem in the 6s does a much better job of LTE holding, handoffs and acquisition on Sprint. The carrier settings bundle finally works well. I previously had a 6 and it held onto 3G for quite a long time. I'm guessing it was the LTE Scan Timer which needed adjustment.
  5. Understood. I agree with you: The legacy tunnel service is basically dying. I am able to pick up solid Sprint 3G in certain stations now. Can't tell if that's part of a new or legacy build. When I think about how the Empire State Building was built in One Year and 45 Days back in the 1930's, and how the Carriers/WMATA says this installation will take up to 5 years to complete, I just want to shake my head in disbelief.
  6. Oh really? I haven't yet seen any Sprint LTE on the Red/Orange/Blue/Silver Lines in the tunnels or on the underground station platforms. Just 3G on the underground station platforms. Nothing in the tunnels. I have an iPhone 6s.
  7. Sounds like it was a good idea to ignore most of it. This article is paywalled, but there's a Denver Post version which is viewable: http://www.denverpost.com/business/ci_29299661/sprint-paid-big-advice-from-sol-trujillo-but Sounds like this contract made Son get more involved, which is a good thing in the end. What technology were the consultants advocating shutting down? Seems like the consultants and Miyakawa were at odds on something. What was it?
  8. Sprint to use Facebook Messenger for customer service Either this will go very well... or it won't go well at all.
  9. Thanks. Can you explain this a bit more? Would having a separate B41 carrier be better than doing 2xCA?
  10. Sprint has yet to name a President for Southern CA, and Northern CA/NV. Perhaps we'll see some additional action once that happens. Map Link: http://bizwire.tekgroup.com/media/86/ONE_Sprint_Map_12815_Highres.jpg
  11. Thanks. Is implementing 2x20 CA actually possible on DAS? I ask because when Sprint launched its DAS at Kauffman Field, there was no mention of it supporting 2x20 CA on Band 41. Given the concentration of folks at a game, having 2x20 CA on Band 41 seems like it would be especially helpful in that circumstance.
  12. I'm glad that Sprint is being specific in listing these venues. Is installing a Triband DAS more expensive? I'm surprised that Sprint wouldn't also deploy Band 41 at venues like the Museum facility in Dulles where there are heavy concentrations of people. Hopefully, Band 41 is deployed at the Pentagon City Mall as well given the crowd surge and size. WMATA stations also could benefit substantially from Band 41 being deployed. Final question: Can these upgraded wireless systems support 2x20 CA for Band 41 and Beamforming, or is that only on the Macro Network?
  13. Progress! Sprint Network Shares #1 Ranking in Reliability and Call Performance in Washington D.C. Congrats Sprint! Really great to see these investments being made. By the way, here's the latest on the WMATA build: Article So we'll see how this goes. At least it'll be a progressive build that will be live as new equipment is added. Some additional background.
  14. Agreed. It is a smart move and I'm glad to see that Sprint will be on equal footing with the other carriers. (I'm wondering who the unnamed carrier is). Investments like this will pay off over time in terms of improving public perception. Plus, the equipment stays as a permanent improvement to the venue. Looking forward to you sharing your reports!
  15. Some news for folks in the Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee Markets Brian S. Miller Named Sprint President, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee Region Link: http://newsroom.sprint.com/news-releases/brian-s-miller-named-sprint-president-georgia-alabama-and-tennessee-region.htm Thoughts?
  16. Unfortunately, they probably can't standardize testing on iPhones due to compatibility with the testing gear I'd imagine... but using Unlocked iPhone models (especially the 6s with Band 41 CA for Sprint's LTE Plus Network and Band 12 for those T-Mobile people who've been clamoring for it) on all 4 carriers would make the most sense and eliminate any hardware discrepancy at this point going forward.
  17. Sprint CEO presses for speedier small cell deployment Link: http://www.fiercewireless.com/tech/story/sprint-ceo-presses-speedier-small-cell-deployment/2015-12-11 FCC Filing: http://apps.fcc.gov/ecfs/document/view?id=60001354143 Hopefully this was a productive meeting!
  18. Indeed. Here's the new DC/MD/VA President, Brian Hedlund: https://twitter.com/BkHedl1 Time to update that Twitter Page, Brian.
  19. Some more personnel announcements... Link: http://newsroom.sprint.com/news-releases/kevin-crull-appointed-sprint-president-for-the-central-area-roger-sol-appointed-chief-marketing-officer.htm Effective immediately: Roger Solé is replacing Kevin Crull as Chief Marketing Officer. Kevin Crull will now serve as President for the Central Area. Considering Kevin Crull only joined Sprint as Chief Marketing Officer in May of this year, this is quite surprising. Roger Solé joined Sprint in April of this year. Either Marcelo believes Kevin wasn't doing a good job, or that Roger can do it better.
