  1. Sprint's response needs to be for all customers. Not just new ones, and I'm concerned that's what we've seen from Marcelo so far. But I'll give him the benefit of the doubt they're devising a response... I certainly hope so. I don't care about TIDAL Exclusives at this point. Heck, look at Legere's Twitter feed as well. He's not sure what to say... or do. Seriously, look at his replies/retweets. He's got nothing. "Slow Cooker Sunday" has turned into "Fire Pit Monday".... and no one's talking about how great T-Mobile Tuesday's are.
  2. Verizon timed this move very well. Can its network actually sustain Unlimited? I'm a shareholder and believer in Sprint's turnaround, but Masa needs to kick in for CapEx and Marcelo needs to adjust prices to compete. I'm very concerned about an uptick in churn this quarter.
  3. It's important to compare the pricing for Verizon's Unlimited (with HD Streaming) to Sprint's Unlimited Freedom Premium (HD Streaming) pricing. Verizon= Unlimited 4 lines is $180/month (with AutoPay). 10 GB of Hotspot per line. Sprint= Unlimited Freedom Premium 4 lines is $240/month (with AutoPay). 5 GB of Hotspot per line. Sprint= Unlimited Freedom 4 lines is $160/month (with AutoPay). 5 GB of Hotspot per line.
  4. So much for Sprint spending $200 Million on TIDAL.... should have put that into CapEx or paid off debt with it. The move looks pretty ill-timed with this development. Verizon's move here is really serious, and I'm not sure Marcelo realizes it... or if he has, he hasn't said anything yet. So far, he's retweeted someone else who called the Verizon CEO "a snoozer": https://twitter.com/sprintsback/status/830967531691139072 Sprint's at the $60/month price point for one line because it has mobile optimized video. Add in the $20/month upgrade for HD Streaming and you hit $80/month.... which is Verizon's Price Point for Unlimited with HD Video. Combine that with Sprint offering 5GB of Tethering vs Verizon's 10GB and Sprint has some work to do to respond with a competitive offer.
  5. As far as I can tell, Marcelo doesn't seem to appreciate that he's comparing Sprint's promotional pricing, which is only available to new customers. With Verizon's new Unlimited plan, it's as important to keep current customers as it is to get new ones... I hoping he'll pay attention to that.
  6. SoftBank should have bought the rest of Sprint when it was in the $2-3 per share range... what a missed opportunity. I agree with you that Sprint needs to accelerate CapEx very quickly. On top of that, Sprint needs to update its pricing.
  7. If Sprint doesn't have a good counter for current customers or unless Verizon runs out of runway, this could be a significant quarter for both of them.
  8. I'm glad to see this competition. Sprint is still in an excellent spectrum position. However, Marcelo needs to have SoftBank start kicking in major funding for CapEx to accelerate network deployment. This is going to be an interesting few weeks to see what Sprint does.
  9. Sprint has to take care of its current customers by offering the promo pricing to them. Loyalty Credits only go so far. This is a major shock to the system, no doubt.
  10. Agreed. We'll see what the final pricing table is for this when it launches tomorrow. My initial thoughts: Sprint had better keep offering those Loyalty Credits for existing customers or there could be increased churn this quarter. Pricing for Unlimited Freedom needs to be revised. $20/month upgrade to Unlimited Freedom Premium for HD Video/Music/Gaming is a bit of a tougher sell now with Verizon's plan pricing.

  14. I have WiFi Calling enabled on my iPhone 7, and if I connect to free XFINITY WiFI, my calls don't always go through and the WiFi doesn't work. So I'm always in the position of turning WiFi Calling or WiFi off if that's the case. Defeats the whole purpose on both fronts really so I don't bother with it.
  15. There's a whole lead-up to the ad on this YouTube Playlist. It pulls from this page: https://www.sprint.com/landings/enough/index.html
  16. Sprint just has to keep paying this down and it will only get easier as as the number drops further and Sprint's credit rating improves. Sprint is on a good path here. It's easy to forget what a deep hole the company was in.
  17. Sprint reported 501,000 Prepaid Losses This is basically what Sprint Postpaid was doing when Marcelo arrived as CEO. How is this sustainable over the long term?
